Work completed: Total kitchen remodel, new floors downstairs, new stair rail installation, rewire of kitchen lighting and switches, gas appliance connection installation, removal of waste, new baseboard installed, crown molding install, and new light fixture installation.

We started out design in April, ordered materials in June, started construction in September, and completed construction/punch list at the end of November.

Excellent overall experience. The entire team was involved and responsive throughout the entire experience. Michelle made out design process incredibly easy. She chauffeured us around to several different sites to pick out all the details and countertops. She made the whole design process feel like we were first class customers. She has great taste and gave us just enough options to ensure that we never hit decision paralysis . Lucien was forthright with everything about the job and I never felt disillusioned about what to expect or how much I was paying. All of the members were trustworthy and helpful, especially Steve and Cody. At one point our children accidentally let the dog out and Steve stopped working to help get the dog back into the house. The also ensured that the worksite was cleaned up daily and before they left for the weekend. Jim gave us daily updates on what work was going to be completed for the day and who would be arriving. He was always accurate about who would be on the job. He also clearly communicated when things were not going according to plan. This was a rare occurrence. When it came to closing out the job we reviewed the contract together and settled any discrepancies. I also pointed out all of the details I wanted addressed. Everyone of them was handled to our satisfaction. I will definitely be using them again in the future to redo my upstairs and add in a pool. Honestly can't say enough great things. A must if you want to support local business!

Mariano & Co. did a superb job on our recent master bathroom remodeling project. It was not a simple project by any means. There were significant plumbing & electrical changes, including creating a new zero-threshold shower & installing a stand-alone bathtub in a different location than the prior layout. Vanity plumbing was moved, as well as light fixtures & electrical outlets.

We worked with their designer Erin for about 2 months to create & refine the new design. She provided excellent guidance to help clarify & realize our vision & style, as well as assisting us on the dozens of selections that we made. We always felt that Erin was tuned into our preferences, and wasn't trying to push any particular style or approach. The 3D renderings that she prepared were extremely helpful to help us visualize & refine the design, resulting in a harmonious design that was perfect for us.

During the construction phase, the plumbing & tile work was particularly excellent, with so many details (3 niches, a pony wall, pebble shower floor, etc). They did a great job installing new Fabuwood vanity & cabinets.

Throughout the project, Mariano was extremely responsive, communicative & well organized. Every evening, we received an e-mail explaining who would be coming the following day and exactly what they would be working on. In contrast to other contactors we have worked with in the past, they always had the right technicians there on the right day, in the right order, to get the project done in a timely fashion.

All of their technicians showed up on time and their workmanship was extremely high quality. They were all friendly & easy to interact with. They did not smoke or play any loud music on our property, and in general were 100% professional. They did not hesitate to ask when there were choices to be made along the way, and they were open to our suggestions. It's clear that they all took pride in their work, and showed great attention to detail. As a result, our final punch list was very short.

We've worked with a few other general contractors in the past, and Mariano is by far the best that we have found. We'd especially like to thank Chris, Erin, Jim, Robert & Moby for all of their help & guidance. We love our new master bathroom, and will enjoy it for many years to come. Overall, we give Mariano an A+, and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Working with Mariano & CO has been a great experience, they did an incredible job remodeling our outdated kitchen, guest, and master bathrooms. From our very first meeting with Lucien, we experienced excellent customer service, he was also closely involved throughout the entire project. The entire team was great to work with. The daily communication between the field operations manager and the homeowners (us) kept us informed when we should expect someone to be at our house and what they were going to accomplish for the day. Planning and design went exceptionally well, Michelle and Lauren are very talented and helped us make the right choices to accomplish the design we envisioned. The crew that worked at our house are very experienced and detail oriented, Francisco, Steve, Troy, Rob, Efrain, Dave, Tom, Phil... They also cleaned up and vacuumed the worksite daily. They all were very friendly and professional; they took the time to ask our children about their day in school and sometimes even played with our new puppy, the children were sad when they left. The end result is of the highest quality, and we couldn’t be happier. I love cooking in our new kitchen, and the kids love the new showers so much they don’t want to get out.

We recently hired Mariano to remodel our kitchen and master bathroom. They were great. Chris Vierkoetter walked us through the Mariano process from planning, budgeting, design, construction, and final walk through. As a Realtor, I've worked with a lot of contractors throughout the years and have to say that Mariano & Co. are definitely the best in the business. The entire team was top notch from the day we contacted them for a bid to the follow up even days after completion. We intend to use them again in the coming months to do a complete kitchen remodel.

They market themselves as your CFL (contractor for life) and I tested that mission statement … they did a complete remodel of our home in 2016 and did an amazing job … 7 years later and we wouldn’t change a thing, they listened, worked with us (we needed handicap accessible) and changed as needed.

I never hired Mariano & Co but I did work for them. The way they run the company is flawless, from design, to sales and the field we all worked as a team. The scope of our remodel was large: Completely new kitchen (cabinets, island, new splash, appliances, tile floor etc.) We also replaced ALL flooring in the house and brand new master bathroom (again, completely gutted and everything new). Too much to list in this review. I cannot imagine doing this with any other contractor! First, the owners are perfectionists and demand quality from all their subs. I was a tough customer as I scrutinized every little item. Not once did I get push back; in fact they went beyond my craziness to make it even better. The in house designer did a magnificent job transforming our dark brown space to an updated light and comfortable home! We interviewed four contractors, and although Mariano was not cheapest (and not the most expensive either) we got the best feeling from their professionalism and experience. We could not be happier and the results speak for themselves. We are almost done and I will post more pictures as the painting is completed. I had to get this review done because they deserve it and YOU need to know to stop looking and hire them no matter how large or small your project is!

NICEST GROUP OF PEOPLE & HIGH-QUALITY WORK! We worked with Mariano over the summer to renovate our 1951 home in downtown Tempe. We knocked out some walls, filled in some doors and windows that were out of place from the previous owner, and did a full kitchen and bath remodel. The project was only 5 weeks, and if we ever had a problem, Mariano's team came and fixed it.

We could trust them the whole way through, and they were always the most helpful people. In particular, Lauren and Lucien Mariano would always be quick to respond to questions or concerns. Since our project got started sooner than expected, they helped us make 1,000 decisions fast in a relaxed and organized way, and I don't regret any decision we made.

The best part about Mariano (besides the quality work) was their online communication portal. We knew every night what the work scheduled for the next day would be. We got photo updates throughout the process (since we temporarily moved out of our home), and we were able to communicate back and forth with the team and see our project quotes and budget.

I don't think our project could have gone any better, and it's been 3 months now since our project ended, and we are just amazed at how beautiful and functional our home is now. The quality of the people, the materials and resources, and communication are top-notch, and I don't think we would have found anyone we would have trusted more to give us everything we wanted and within our budget. WE WILL HIRE THEM AGAIN FOR OTHER PROJECTS & REFER TO FAMILY & FRIENDS!

Mariano & CO are definitely my contractors for life. They have done 2 major projects in my home 1. remodel kitchen in 2021 and 2. remodel masterbath and guest bath and flooring in 2023. Following several months of research, changing wish lists, showroom visits, contractor quotes, and bickering about money.... punctuated by utter disbelief at my spouse for more time spent on Houzz and &^#% HGTV than any other life events. We were ready. More importantly - *I* was ready ...to jump off of a bridge.

I never knew the simple question of what do you think was actually a torture test. 4 simple words, invented by a wife out of CIA Psy-Ops, a new way to perpetually torment and then reject her husband in ways never before imagined. To achieve a mission - pick between 50 shades of greige. Or maybe a chic new shade of off-white for the walls (different from the previous 5 you were OK with) Or dinner ideas. Anything - so she has something new to shoot down. Truly, the most effective marital strife weapon ever created, second only to the birthday vacuum cleaner.

Enter Mariano and Company. A company comprised of the best talent in the valley for creating happiness in this process. (not strife) The designers, the tradesmen, the subcontractors, the Project managers, the vendors all worked harmoniously to complete our remodel. Change orders were efficient and well orchestrated. Challenges were met with a focus and attention to detail that impressed me. We went into this in the middle of COVID *and* the Christmas holidays - believe me, there were challenges. Every project will have problems and setbacks - *how* your contractor deals with those setbacks differentiates the good from the great. Mariano falls under the great category.

We recently had Mariano & Co., LLC renovate our Laundry Room. This is our second project with the Mariano Team. Last year, they renovated our Master Bathroom and Guest Bathroom. We were so impressed by the quality of their work that we engaged them again for our Laundry Room update.
The photos below show the Laundry Room just prior to the start of the renovation work. They don't show the complete Before situation for the North Wall was completely stuffed with clutter and the area to the left of the washer and dryer was similarly cluttered because the only true storage in the room was the cabinetry above the washer and dryer.
Obviously, we wanted to add a sink in the update. We also wanted to make sure that there was a space to hang wet or dry garments, a place for dirty laundry and as much storage area as possible with provisions for a vacuum cleaner, brooms, mops, etc. The Mariano Team was able to deliver this wish list with innovative solutions that used their standard cabinetry. The use of standard cabinets instead of custom cabinets (which they also can provide) kept the cost of our renovation in check
When completed, the Laundry Room met, and in many cases, exceeded our expectations. My wife keeps saying that she loves her new Laundry Room because everything has its place (especially the location of the dirty laundry next to the washer) and the room looks beautiful while being completely functional.

Everything that was in the room before the renovation (including all the items that were part of the clutter in the North Wall nook and the area to the left of the washer and dryer) are stored in the cabinets and surprisingly, there are a number of open shelves in the cabinets.
Some other items of note are that the work was all completed on schedule. As usual for the Mariano Team, each upcoming day's work schedule was detailed along with the names of the individuals coming to the house, in an e-mail sent the night before the work was to be performed. No work on the project was started until the design was agreed upon and the Mariano Team provided an experienced designer to help with the project layout, colors and material selection and coordination with existing materials in the house.
All in all, we are pleased with the project and the responsiveness and quality work of the Mariano Team.

Very professional. They are good communicators and are easy to do business with. They set realistic expectations and do what they say they'll do. The professional designer was especially helpful to make sure that we had great looking rooms at the end.

Communication is easy with all their team: interior designer, field ops manager, logistics manager, and Lucien. When the job is done, Lucien comes out to inspect and makes sure everything is done correctly and that you are satisfied.

I am pleased to write a review for our master bathroom remodel project done by Mariano & Co., LLC. Living up to the expectation of a '5 Star Experience' is no easy task. But our remodel with Mariano & Co. did just that. . . from the start to finish!
We got really serious about remodeling after we had seen the master bath remodel that Mariano & Co. had completed for friends of ours. We loved the look of our friends' new bathroom and asked who did the work. That was the first we had heard about the Mariano quality. Then, we talked to several other contractors and got estimates for what we wanted for our bathroom.
From the initial meeting with Lucien, we were impressed. He came to our home and listened to what we wanted and offered suggestions. He was very professional and friendly. We immediately felt comfortable and knew we wanted to proceed with Mariano & Co. after interviewing several other contractors.
We scheduled our appointment at the Mariano show room. There, we met our designer, Lauren; Vic, the owner, and Lucien. Everything was explained to us regarding the cost, communication through the BuilderTrend app, and what the process would be. It was very easy to ask questions and feel really secure that we were 'in good hands'.
No detail was overlooked. From the exact measurements, to the drawings, to the schedule that would be followed; it was all clearly communicated and we knew what to expect and when. When the workers started coming to begin the project, they showed up on time - always - and if there was some reason to change the time or the plans we knew the night before from the email communication.
We had heard stories from friends about how dirty and messy remodels could be. That was one of the main things that we really appreciated. Care and consideration for the carpet and furniture in our bedroom and bathroom were always a priority. Of course, there was a mess! But Mariano & Co. tried to keep it as clean as possible with daily upkeep.
The quality of workmanship one every level was exceptional! The workers seemed to really take pride in their craftsmanship and it definitely showed in the final completion. The materials that Mariano & Co. use seem so much better than some of the other products that we had seen. I am not an expert on tile or fixtures, but I know what I wanted; and what we got looks like a 5 star product! Nothing looks 'cheap' or 'plastic'. The quality of products used by Mariano & Co. is excellent.
As with any big project, there's always going to be a few little concerns. When our floor tile was completed for our shower, it looked great! However, we didn't realize until we actually stood in it and took a shower, that a few of the tiles needed to be sanded down. When we expressed our concern to Mariano & Co. they were very willing to make it right and wasted no time in making that happen. The same with touch-up that needed to be done with paint. We let the Company know about it, and they immediately got it fixed to our satisfaction.
I told Lloyd, our project manager, after the project was finished that there we some other areas of our home that I would like to address. I thin that's what occurs when your realize the possibilities that could happen with a quality contractor such as Mariano & Co.! We will definitely contact Mariano's again when we are ready to do an additional remodel! Trust? Quality? Attention to Detail? These are the things you can count on with Mariano's!

My wife and I had been planning to renovate our kitchen for years. We prepared notes and sketches of what we wanted to achieve and interviewed four local contractors to get their advice and proposals. Vic listened to our ideas thoughtfully and gave us advise on how to the get the best value for the budget we had. We compared the proposals from all 4 contractors carefully and decided to work with Mariano & Co. Next we met with Vic's full team and developed designs and drawings over the next few weeks. At one point we were way over budget and Vic was able to work with the team and come up with creative ideas that met with both our design objectives and budget. The kitchen was completed on schedule and the workmanship is excellent. The staff were professional and great to work with. We love the space and functionality that was created. We have received a great deal of positive feedback. This is the second project we have done with Mariano and & Co. and we definitely talk to them first for our future renovation needs.

We have used Mariano & Co for two renovation projects. After the great experience of the first (a master bathroom and extensive floor tiling in much of the home), we hoped that their quote for the second phase would be competitive and it was. This time they did complete make-overs of the kitchen and two bathrooms. Again great outcome. One hopes for no issues during a remodel, but that is seldom the case. What sets Mariano & Co apart is the way the issues are dealt with. Prompt and always with an outcome that met or exceeded our expectation.

My husband and I currently live in a 3-story townhouse and have been wanting to renovate to optimize the space and make it more functional for us. Vic came to our house for a consultation appt and surprised me by saying that, though there are features I personally dislike about the house (e.g. staircases), it is a matter of taste and since this house will not be our forever home and we plan to sell/rent it out in the future, it's best to leave certain features as is. I had a wonderful experience with Mariano and Co. My renovation turned out beautifully. What was most appreciative were the times I would ask for additional items to be done or to modify something that had already been completed. They never seemed to be bothered by the changes or additions. Their goal was to have a happy customer at the end of the project and they did and still do!!!

Let me start by saying a lot of contractors talk a good game when they come out to quote a job. Everything sounds amazing and they make it sound like you will be treated as if you’re their only job. Fast forward to the middle of the job and you end up feeling like you’re lost in the contractor’s schedule. I think we’ve all come to expect that’s just how it goes. Well not anymore for us! Mariano and Co. not only made everything sound amazing at the first appointment, but they actually follow through and make the whole experience awesome! When they say “contractor for life” (and they say it quite a bit haha), they mean it.

Our job consisted of a full kitchen remodel, new tile flooring and a complete interior change of paint color. From the moment we started discussing things with Vic, Lucien and Lauren, we felt as though we were going to be well taken care of. They have clearly been doing this for a long time and know all the ins and outs of what questions to ask and what direction to take the conversation / design ideas in. Most people will have an idea of what they want the finished product to look like. Lucien and Lauren made sure to listen to our ideas, but then add / suggest things that we had never thought of. At times we even felt Lauren was more excited about the selections we made for our kitchen than we were! Not to say we weren’t excited about them, but you can tell she really loves what she does. Lucien does a great job of “point man” on the project. He was great to bounce ideas off of and had made some really great suggestions along the way. His (actually the whole team’s) response time to questions, was amazing. Usually same day, at worst, the following morning.

Mariano and Co. use an app called BuilderTrend. This app is constantly updated / monitored by the whole team. You can view your running job total, change orders, send messages, check payments, etc. It is always up to date. Every night you get a message though the app telling you what will be happening the following day. Even if it’s nothing. You always know what to expect, who to expect and what time to expect them. Not once was the evening message wrong.
While we weren’t living in our house for the bulk of the job, we did visit the house quite a bit and got to know some of the guys on the crews (Emile and Seth made a great combo!). They are all very friendly and would even humor our kids with the endless questions they would ask! Lloyd, Mike and Jim did a great job of coordinating everything from demo to clean up. The whole crew just seems like one happy family.
We’ve found our contractor for life and can’t wait to use them for our next project!

Recently had Vic (owner) and his construction crew remodel our two main bathrooms. The outcome was better than expected. They were very focused towards ensuring the work was done correctly and very responsive to my feedback as the project moved along. They also provided great ideas. I recommend them!

Very professional and thorough. Great staff and a very good design center. We converted a loft into an additional master suite with a full bath and closet and were impressed with the work that they did. They stand true to their motto contractor for life and we will definitely re-use their services for any other remodeling we do in the future.

I called Mariano & Co in Sept 2021 and the soonest appt to have a contractor out was Dec 3 2021. It's now March and I've yet to receive a qoute after multiple calls and emails. I understand that it's been very busy but I've been very disappointed in the lack of any follow through.

I would not recommend this company. Vic Mariano came out to see my home and to give me a quote. He told me he would have a quote to me in 2 weeks. I agreed and waited patiently for 2 weeks. 2 weeks came and I still had not received a bid. He then said he would have it done in 2 days or he would let me know if it was going to be longer. He still didn’t have it done and again no communication. I called him again and he told me that he was very behind and hadn’t even started my bid. At this point I told him I would have appreciated some communication. Vic then proceeded to tell me how he couldn’t do business with me because I was impatient and then hung up on me. Instead of owning up to his mistake, he would rather turn it around on you. I would not trust this company with my project.

We recently reached out to this company to give us a quote on a fireplace remodel. They were very responsive initially and quickly came out to survey the job. We were told we would have a quote a week later but were then told they needed to rework the quote in order to become compliant with code. We appreciated the heads up and had no problem waiting the couple extra days. The couple days passed and we were then told they need an extra week. After not hearing anything, we emailed and made follow up calls with no response. We had to call the main office to explain our situation and were told to expect a call back. We were called by the owner, who apologized, and were told we would have our quote the following Monday. We have not received any communication from then since. Here we are 4 weeks later with no quote, no phone call, no email. I would not recommend working with this company.

We just finished our master bathroom remodel by Mariano & company, and all I can say is WOW!!! We started our project about a month-and-a-half ago, and the team from Mariana was nothing short of amazing. each night we received an update on what was plan for the next day, who was going to be there, and what was going to be done.

Lauren was fantastic! she would meet with my wife daily and go over the details of what she wanted the bathroom to be. she was there to assist with picking out the amenities and how it would all look when finished, and to say the least we are extremely pleased with a finished project.
