Marcel over-delivered on expectations!
I largely relied on word-of-mouth and neighborhood experience to find Marcel. They delivered stellar results!!The crew was highly conscientious, professional and a pleasure to have around my home. Their prep work was meticulous and end result perfect! And price was competitive. What more could you want?

We had a miserable experience with Marcel painting. It looked good at first, the bid was good (we didn't notice the math error on the contract until later where, instead of subtracting 10% they added 10%). When 2020 settled down we decided to have our wedding at home so contacted them to begin work. We began to have questions about the painting on the second day. (My fiancé was in commercial construction for 25+ years and has been responsible for much interior work, including painting, at numerous Starbucks and other businesses in AZ)
We contacted the crew leader to address our concerns but he told us when he came to the house to trust the painters' process and point things out when they are finished.
The job deteriorated from there and was much much worse upstairs. They left messes in EVERY rom of the house. Each room had serious mistakes, messes and thing that just didn't get done. The crew left early on the last day ( about 1:30) without saying goodbye or announcing they considered the job finished so we waited to see if they would return because the job was so clearly not complete or done correctly. Well, a couple of days later, we received an email saying the crew informed them they were finished and they wanted us to pay and give them a good review.
We complained and told them we do not want that crew back or the crew leader. I asked the owner to come to the house to see what a case of gross incompetence this was. He came and was apologetic. He was looking into the future to get a crew here to fix it but I told him we had postponed our wedding for this so he needed to get a crew here right away (which he did). The new crew were very nice but made it worse by painting OVER the masking tape the last crew left all over the baseboards. The next day we skipped our morning workout to greet them at 6am but they didn't pull up until 7:20. We voiced our dissatisfaction and told the owner we will finish the job ourselves. All in all, it took 31 days with our house a wreck and no ability to Reschedule our wedding. We are sanding down the baseboards and still have extensive cleanup to do (we had recently replaced all the doorknobs in the house and the first crew got paint on every single one... in some cases a ridiculous amount) they got paint on both the cloth shower curtains AND cloth liners, paint on hardware, mirrors, carpet, tile and grout. Sheet rock dust and particles all over one room without even an attempt to clean up at all by the first crew.
The photos were taken after we were notified that the job was finished. All the baseboards look as bad or in some cases, worse than the one photo.

I hired Marcel Painting to repaint the exterior of my house. They did an excellent job! They finished everything in one day and it turned out great! I absolutely love it! I would recommend them to anyone who needs painting done. Thanks again!

Samuel of Marcel painting arrived on a Tuesday morning, alone, to paint my home. He completed the entire home by Friday afternoon. My home is a 2 story, 3,750 sq .ft house! He power washed everything (got my second story windows clean to boot), repaired areas of the plaster that had been damaged by sprinklers, and so many cracks I hadn't even noticed. He carefully taped up every window and opening to protect what areas were not to be painted and even made room in the rocks at the foundation to completely paint. He cleaned up everything and left my home looking brand new. I'm very pleased with the job. Thank you Samuel.

They came out that day and gave me a great quote with excellent options. Your search is over. This is the company you want to hire period. I received estimates from most the major painting companies in the area. One came in at DOUBLE the cost! Marcel were not only the LEAST expensive but their administrative professionalism and, most importantly, the QUALITY of their work was EXCEPTIONAL.

Dean provided the estimate, answered when I called, and responded to texts regularly. I was lucky enough to be assigned Armondo and his crew to complete the actual prep and painting process as well. They worked incredibly hard to make every detail just right. They met every single one of my (sometimes picky) expectations and then some.

The measure of a business is how they respond when unforeseen problems evolve. They did NOT try to take advantage of me when they easily could have.

This ENTIRE organization did what they said they would do, on time, and worked with me to overcome the monumental task of applying over 45 gallons of paint just right - Oh yeah, they were also available in a week or two instead of 6 months out…just a great business to work with, with quality people, driven by what appears to be a high ethical ideal.

I have a seven year warranty, in my particular agreement, and I will sleep easy on the assumption that they will respond to future needs as well as they did to my initial work.

I contracted with Marcel Painting for the exterior of the house and the inside of the common wall. The crew arrived promptly. We thoroughly discussed the colors and the scope of the project. The crew cleaned, caulked, prepped the home with plastic to protect areas that were not needing paint. After the painting work was complete they had a detail crew go over every section to quality check the paint coverage. The items that they removed to have access to the wall surface they returned to the proper location when the painting was complete. I'm completely satisfied with the work provided. I was very pleased with Marcel Painting! They painted the interior of my condo which had very challenging design elements: vaulted ceilings, textured walls and a staircase. They completed the job in one and a half days. They were prompt, professional and clean. The place looks beautiful! The owner, Kelly, answered all my calls and texts in a timely manner. Even when I changed my mind last minute and wanted to have my ceilings painted, he was more than happy to have his crew complete my request the same day. Very satisfied!

Last week Marcel Painting painted the exterior of our home. Their estimate was reasonable but the quality of their work was superior. The crew of Javier and Mario were attentive to our concerns and did everything we asked and more. If possible, I would give them more than 5 stars. The team from Marcel were simply wonderful to work with and the quality of their work was exceptional. We have a large house that had, until recently, been covered with vines. The team were exceedingly careful with the power washing and the exterior painting and the house looks beautiful as a result. It was a huge job but you would never have known it from their cheery engagement and enjoyment of bringing the house back to its original beauty.

We hired Marcel Painting to paint our two-story lobby at my office building. They did a wonderful job! Kelly was great to work with and his staff was kind, punctual, and did a great job! We are incredibly happy the quality of work! We would hire Marcel Painting again in a heartbeat!

Please do not waste your money!! I would give zero stars if able. First of all, job was not finished when promised. Actually job not finished at all. We are from out of town and we’re told it would be finished on a Monday. We arrived on Friday and interior paint looked horrible! Things that were discussed did not even get done. We met with owner on Friday and he agreed that the quality of work was poor. Next, he said that he would have a full crew the next day and have finished on Sunday! We came out on Saturday and there was only one guy painting. We again asked, are you sure this is going to be finished and we were told oh yes. Crew supervisor Dean, said that he would come out and complete the job Sunday, but when we arrived early morning he was complaining about sciatic pain and he left early. We have had to reschedule house cleaner and carpet cleaner because they were not finished. We have called owner Kelly numerous times and he says that he was going to get it done but sent one guy who said there was no way he was able to complete it! Also, they ruined my wallpaper in my half bath when they tore the tape off the walls. Needless to say, just stay clear of this business!

I was very impressed that Marcel Painting went through a lot of hoops to get a painter to be able to fulfill our commitment date. The painter himself was just hired by your company the day before and he did an excellent job. He too was dedicated to completing it within our schedule even though it meant starting early and working through the entire weekend!
Your commitment to your word, and his commitment to getting the job done without any extra help, speak volumes as to the integrity and high standards of Marcel Painting.

We had the interior of our house painted and it turned out great. The two painters were very good at protecting the floor with plastic. Removing and replacing wall plates. Masking things like fans and lights. Very neat and tidy. Had the popcorn ceiling in the garage removed and had the garage interior painted as well. From dingy dirty garage to bright clean work space and car sanctuary. Price was fair and reasonable... really felt like I got my money’s worth. I just had my backyard fence stuccoed and plan to contact Marecel’s when it’s time to paint it. My experience leads me to highly recommend.

PS: I think it helped quite a bit that my wife and I moved all the furniture into the center of the rooms, emptied the garage and just made the work space suited for painting. I was paying for painting services, not furniture moving. Again... very pleased with the final product.

I really wish I could give this company a higher rating. I don't normally leave critical reveiws. First the good: everyone I interacted with was very friendly. They responded quickly, and came out to give me a detailed quote and proposal. Dean seemed very knowledgeable and explained everything they would need to do to paint my townhome. Their follow up was good and they got me on the schedule relatively quickly. Their price was really reasonable. Overall the paint job looks really good, their were a few minor issues that were resolved and a few that weren't. The problems I had: The job was supposed to take 2 days, but the crew was late both days, and on the first day was unaware of the sccpe of the work and we're not prepared with the products they would need. The proposal said they would cover areas with drop cloth or plastic and even though I moved my patio future and potted plants off the patio (as requested) and as far way from the house as possible there were paint splatters everywhere. I have a vertical garden adjacent to the patio that could not be moved and I specifically asked if they would cover it before painting and they did not. They also spilled paint on my gravel and simply rolled the trash bins over it. Their were paint chips and debris all over, clean up was lacking. The owner was quick to apologize and offered to send a crew manager back out to clean up and correct the remaining issues, but I declined. It didn't seem worth the trouble. So if you're willing to cover anything you don't want paint on and clean up yourself, you can probably save a little money and get a good paint job by going with this company. Friendly and affordable.

Best painting ever!

Quote did not match invoice even though the job did not change. I explained this, but was still invoiced the higher amount. I paid the invoice in full, with the company knowing I had no deals on my doors 2 weeks post job running my electric bill up and a lot of over spray I paid a handyman to correct. Then the day after I paid in full I received a 20 day notice that they could place a lien on my house for non payment. Poor customer service. It was hard to get my job started and my job started a week late. I have since hired another company for my new project with no issues, timely service, and accurate quotes. I come from a father that is a contractor, a grandfather that was a roofer, an uncle that is a plumber, and another uncle that owns a floor installation company. I have never seen them treat customers this way.

I was extremely pleased with the professionalism and quality provided by Marcel Painting. I recently hired Marcel Painting to handle removal of the popcorn ceiling in a home I purchased. Not only was the result amazing, but I was also very surprised at how reasonably priced they were. Exceptional service from the estimate all the way through to the completed project. Marcel Painting painted the exterior of my 1460 sf rental property. The cost, I felt, was reasonable and the quality of the preparation and painting was excellent. The entire staff was very professional. I had to reschedule due to having to first obtain approval for paint colors from the HOA. Marcel Painting cheerfully accommodated the delay. The entire job was nearly completed by a crew of three in one day. The foreman told me he would come back in the morning to give the back porch ceiling a second coat, otherwise they would have been done in one day. Once again, the quality of work and the look of the completed job is excellent!

After inspecting the home, they presented with a very fair quote. Not only were they professional but they actually completed painting a lot quicker than I expected.

Nothing but positive things to say about my experience!

Marcel Painting was about $700 cheaper than the other bids and did a very adequate job that was timely and on budget with no money up front, which shows me a level of financial security in a paint company. They were also accommodating enough to go BACK to my house after the job was complete to take and send me photos as I was out of town during their job.

However, their job was not flawless. 2 of my sidewalk lights were broken, security yard sign was bent over, there was house color paint sprayed on the eaves, eave color smudged on the stucco, and one of the outdoor garage lights was crooked. BUT they guarantee their work for 5 years so I will be reaching out to them.

I have used Marcel Painting on several occasion for several different types of projects. Each experience has been exceptional from the perspective of quality of work, professionalism of the painting staff, and knowledge and sales approach by their sales team. I am in sales myself, so I can really appreciate when a company gets it as it pertains to the sales process. I really feel that every time I work with Marcel, they look at partnering with their customers so it's much more of a consultative approach than a hard sell. They have actually suggested some other ideas outside of my vision of a project and in the end, the final result was better than I initially imagined. This is saying a lot, because my experience with other local painting companies has not been so good. Most of the companies in which I received estimates from were far from professional and usually a one to two man operation. Most of the other companies either didn't show up on time, showed up in apparel I would expect to see in a homeless shelter, or presented their abilities leaving me feeling anything but confident in their abilities to get the job done right. Finding good contractors in AZ can sometimes be a daunting task, so I feel compelled to let others know that there are still good companies out there.

We had a great experience with them. The painting crew was very courteous and did a great job. The owner was very understanding and made sure we would be happy with our choices. They even happily came back out to touch up some places in the house. We plan to use them for our exterior painting project as well.

They did the painting on our townhomes awhile back. They were here the other day because we had quite a bit of peeling. They pressure washed all the buildings and left without cleaning up. Paint chips are everywhere. Stuck in the rocks, plants and grass and trees. I tried to clean it up somewhat but now wind has blown everything back from the top of the buildings. It’s a mess! Not sure how I will ever get this paint out of my yard!!
I would not leave a job like that. Not acceptable

Update - they never came back to power wash the screen?? Spoke to Kelly but nothing happened.

Marcel removed popcorn ceilings at 13415 N.103rd Way and the job was completed on schedule, and excellent workmanship by his employees. The preparation performed before the start of the removal was very good and eliminated spills on flooring etc. Great job cleaning everything up at the completion of the job. Would recommend them for this type of work.

Great experience! The exterior of our home was painted by Marcel Painting. They did an excellent job in prepping the house and in cleaning up. The house looks great! Great job for a great price!

We used Marcel Painting to paint our wrought iron pool fence and from the very first contact for the estimate through the completion of the project, they were responsive and very easy to work with. We will definitely use them again for our painting needs!

David the project manager came out to the house a few times and was great to work with !!

The team of two that came out for the exterior painting was a much different story. The younger of the two was rude and could care less about damaging our property. He was so careless over and over. The paint sample was taken one week before and they arrived without any paint. So this delayed them many hours.
At the end of the day the job was TERRIBLE. David came to the rescue and the two men returned the next day and repainted the exterior the way it should have been the first day.
This mess caused us to delay putting our home on the market for an entire week, no one cared. The young man ruined our outdoor mat, laughed and said David would replace it. That has not been done. We also had to get our tile and grout re cleaned in our laundry room because the team never said anything to use about using water and did not care to ask us to close up the dog door, yep tons of water in the room.
Have yet to hear from the Marcel company, was told we would be given a discount for the issues. But we did receive an invoice via email for the FULL amount. I have not paid it and no one responds to my message or text messages.
I was planning on using them again because of how much I liked the project manager David, but the way now that this bill issue is being ignored, no way.

Commercial painting company at their best~! I have used Marcel Painting since 2010 for large commercial painting jobs that they have never disappointed me or my tenants for the shopping centers. Everything was done on time and professionally. Kelly Mardis and his team are top-notch!

Abel Hernandez and his crew painted my daughter's house and they did an excellent job. The wood on part of the house was terribly dry and faded. Now it looks brand new. It is clearly the nicest house on the block. I highly recommend Marcel painting and specifically ask for Abel Hernandez.

I would highly recommend Marcel Painting! For starters, their prices are very fair and right on point! Not to high like alot of other companies or not too low, but just outright fair! 2ndly, They did an excellent job on my condo I just purchased. It was previously a rental so it was kinda beat up, but instantly became new after they got done. Lastly, they respond when needed. David was always there when I had questions. David came out to evaluate and provide estimate, etc. I also spoke to the owner, Kelly and he was very courteous! Do yourself a favor and go with them.

EXTERIOR HOUSE PAINTING: MESA, AZ

Marcel Painting was a recommended quality painting company doing business in Mesa, AZ. The subdivision HOA restrictions for the paint exterior house/trim/paint requirements made it challenging in selecting the appropriate paint company. The HOA paint requirements were more stringent than a typical home owner could imagine. We were also concerned for the finished quality as the home has various clay tile roof lines and multiple variations to the structure. Kelly provided staff to investigate the HOA requirements and confirmed that the painting would confirm to all the HOA requirements.

Kelly and staff of Marcel Painting were professional, responsive, prompt with excellent communication skills. Unexpected issues were attended to immediately and solved within short order. The entire exterior painting was completed within time and quoted price. We are pleased with the quality of painting and completeness of the project. We would highly recommend Marcel Painting for any future exterior painting. We will also consider Marcel Painting for painting the interior.

I hired the company to paint the exterior of my house. I was given a proposal that detailed the work that would be done and the price. I was separately told via email with the representative that gave me the quote that the job would take 3 days. One painter arrived on the agreed upon day to start work and finished the entire project in one day. When I walked through the property the following day it was extremely sloppy. After reaching out to the company, the painter returned to walk through the property with me. He returned later that week to fix issues. When I walked through the property after his attempt to fix the issues I found most of the issues not corrected and several things actually made worse. I took 70 photos of the property highlighting the issues I had which included paint on the sidewalk, overspray, drips on light fixtures and furniture, uneven coverage, etc. I contacted the company again and shared pictures with the owner. His emailed response was “OMG” and he sent a subcontractor out to the property to fix the work. After two days of work and 2 additional walkthroughs, there are still clear issues with the quality of the job. I took an additional 77 photos showing the issues. I was not followed up with after the subcontractor left for two weeks. When I finally did get follow up, I was no longer interested in having the company out for a third attempt at corrections and I had already proceeded to make many corrections myself. Absolutely horrific experience that is now being escalated with formal complaint to the BBB.

Marcel Painting was a dream to work with. The entire process was quick and easy, from the initial call to the experienced crew that came out and painted 2 large whiteboard walls in our office. It was a wonderful experience and I will be using Marcel again. Thank you Marcel!

i have had my kitchen , bathroom and one of the bedrooms painted. the painter did a beautiful job, i still have 3 rooms to go but they have to be cleaned out and pictures taken down. i would recommend these painters to any one that wants a nice clean job done

This was my second time using them, first for interior and now exterior. They were responsive, on time, quick, and thorough. I had a lot of vines and bushes in my yard and was concerned about painting around them, but they were able to accommodate. I would definitely hire them again.

I had these guys out to paint about half of my house. These guys were professional, fast, courteous, and did a fantastic job. The price quoted was also very fair for the amount of work involved.

I had scheduled a review for 3:30 pm at a house I am under contract to buy. By 3:45 nobody had shown up so I called the company and they said they would call David and find out where he was at and call me back right away. At 4:00 I had not received a call so I called back and got voice mail. I called again at 4:15 and someone answered the phone, found out what was going on from the first person that answered the phone and told me they could not get a hold of David (would have been nice to have gotten a call back letting me know). The person I was speaking to said she would continue trying to get a hold of him and around 4:40 called back to let me know they had still not gotten a hold of him. I was frustrated that I spent an hour driving to and from the house and an hour an a half waiting for David to show.

They only do touch-up's or repaints of existing buildings. However, they have great reviews and a well designed website. Always a good sign. Plus, she answered the phone immediately (hard to find).
