AZ Recessed Lighting

5 stars isn’t enough for the work Troy did in our home, should be 10 or 20! We had non working pendant lights in our kitchen, so we bought new ones, along with many other light fixtures and fans. Troy was prompt, very professional and nice and got it all done. My wife (and myself) LOVE the new lights especially since he got the pendants working. Just a fantastic job, I have hired AZ Recessed Lighting for two jobs now, one at my old home and now at our new home and the work they do is simply fantastic! Strongly recommend AZ Recessed Lighting over any company in the valley, you won’t be disappointed.

I hired this company to do LED under cabinet lighting several months ago. I thought they did well, until I realized that they scratched my new microwave. I let the owner Troy know, and he balked at paying to have the door replaced, but he finally did.
The connectors on several of the strips have been shorting out, and every time I call Troy to fix it, he throws a fit and then tries to blame me for the connectors shorting out! He then complains that the service calls are eating into his profit??!! (Maybe if the product wasn't inferior, they wouldn't need to keep repairing it??)
I also asked for a quote for kickplate lighting, which I have not received almost 3 months later....
I recently (yesterday) had another connector come loose, and, rather than deal with Troy complaining, I fixed it myself so far, and will probably get another company to repair it if it shorts again, rather than deal with Troy. I did leave him a message, and, of course, he hasn't returned my call.

I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. I have had at least a dozen contractors making improvements to my home, and have NEVER experienced anything like this.

They are supposed to have a 1 year warranty, but good luck getting cheery service if you need to use it. ?

Good home lighting is SO important. We hired Troy and his team to replace all of the very limited and depressing, outdated '80s lighting in our home that we recently purchased. Troy had such great vision and installed about 40 recessed lights throughout our home, created new switches/wiring to bring lighting into all closets, replaced all chandeliers/vanity lighting and mounted new ceiling fans on 20+ ft ceilings. It was a tremendous project and he communicated every step of the way, worked with us through lighting shipping delays and was on time throughout. He only uses high-quality items (Lutronic switches, top-grade LED lights, etc.) and guarantees his work. Given his level of experience, any surprises along the way were easily and quickly resolved. We will be calling them again to add LED lighting in our garage and install new outdoor lighting. I cannot recommend them enough! Jared and Troy are the best! They are friendly, fast, and so professional! I had 2 home electrical projects that I had been meaning to get done forever. One was an exterior patio fan and the other was installing 2 pendant lights in our bedroom. I know absolutely nothing about electrical and they were so willing and open to talking me through the project to ensure that the end result was exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't be happier with our new lights and fan! I highly recommend them!!

Outstanding workmanship! I hired AZ Recessed Lighting to disconnect and move the existing security lighting and associated conduit out of the way on a self-storage facility so our crew could install a new roof system, then reinstall it all to meet code upon our completion. Their crew was on-time, professional, and efficient. Shortly after, I hired them to install recessed lights and ceiling fans in my own home. I will definitely hire them again any time I need electrical work done (at work or home).

Troy did a fantastic job of installing the recessed lighting , it was very clean and we were super impressed by his work . We requested him to do few additional patchwork and electrical fixes which he followed up and completed everything . He went over and beyond and did some dry wall patching as well . Troy knows how to do it! He was very meticulous when it came to measuring to make sure the hole placement was spot on. He covered everything to protect it. The price was as he quoted with no hidden fees or extra charges when he was done. On top of finally being able to see our beautiful kitchen, adding $2000 equity in my home is a huge plus.

I am very pleased at the service we received from this company. We had recessed lighting installed in our 1990’s home. Initially we wanted standard recessed lighting but changed our minds. Troy worked with us to order smart lighting. While waiting for the order, his team came to our house, prepped the electrical, and even cleaned up after each day! When we got the lights installed, we were very pleased. Communication was excellent, workmanship top notch, and the service was prompt. They also took the time work with us to fix the minor issues we had with placement. Overall, they were great and I would not hesitate to use them again for future projects.

We had Troy and Eric took care of several projects including new under cabinet lighting, some LED recessed lighting, a new ceiling fan on the patio, and a timer for our outside lights. We've had a lot of lighting work done by Troy in the past. His work has never failed to be superior in every respect. We recently purchased a gas-powered home generator and we wanted it connected to our home via Transfer Switch. Although this is not Troy's primary focus, we asked him to do the work because of the total trust we place in him and his staff. As always, the job he and Ryan did was totally professional from start to finish. I should add that this was a complex job with no room for error. Troy is a highly-skilled craftsman who is also most personable and attentive to his customers. We recommend AZ Recessed Lighting without hesitation for any lighting or electrical needs.

I recently hired AZ Recessed Lighting to install recessed lighting throughout my home. Troy's team did amazing work, were on time, and even gave suggestions on additional lighting needed to meet our needs. They covered our home's surfaces before starting the work, and even talked with our 3 year old through the process and made her feel comfortable with strangers in the house. I highly recommend this company!

Troy installed 5 recessed lights in our kitchen and we are very pleased with the work. When I called he was busy with other jobs and apologized for scheduling our install a week and a half out. I thought it a good sign that he was busy, and the short wait wait was well worth it. I highly recommend Troy.

Troy and his team just installed my recessed lights and they did a tremendous job! I wanted to use Hue light bulbs, and I had a lot of questions in terms of layout and setup. Troy was kind enough to answer all of my questions and give his professional opinion. The end result is absolutely amazing, I am very happy with the installation. I've had Troy out to my house in Scottsdale a number of times. So far Troy has put in over 15 recessed lights in my home and hung over four TV's include one over the fireplace which nobody else could do. On the last time out, Troy moved and hung a chandelier for us that looks amazing. I personally like this company because they cover your stuff with plastic when they work, they clean as they go and they make sure you are happy with the final product. I trust Troy and he's team, his pricing is reasonable and you'll be extremely happy with his work.

Troy did a fantastic job on the installation of recessed lighting for my home. He came in to discuss what we wanted to do and explained us how he can do it with different options. He also gave us an opportunity to look at a model installation he had done in our community. He gave us an estimate of the total cost of the project with each line item explained properly.

The day of the install, he should at exactly the same time he mentioned he will start the work. He covered all the furniture and the floor with plastic to prevent it from getting dirty from the dust from the holes that he had to drill into the ceiling for the lights. We had him install 7 brand new recessed lights and got our kitchen recessed lights converted to the new modern recessed lights. Everything was done in a professional and clean way. He also installed a new ceiling fan for us and rewired the switches properly to work with the recessed lights.

The work area was vaccum cleaned after the install was finished. The payment requested was exactly the same amount that was quoted to us. We were extremely satisfied with the quality of the work. I would recommend Troy and AZ Recessed Lighting to anybody for their recessed light installation. He is very professional and does quality work. We really love the new lights and will enjoy then for a long time.

The AZ Recessed Lighting time was awesome! They came quickly, were extremely professional, and did amazing work. We had recessed lighting installed in our 1990s home and wow what a difference! Troy came to our house right on time as he promised and did a great job on our lighting.

I used Troy to install 6 new recessed lights in my kitchen in addition to several under cabinet lights. Troy did a great job and strives to make you pleased about the project. Troy and Jared did an awesome job installing recessed lighting in our home! They showed up on time, were courteous and professional. Their confidence in their work made me feel very comfortable. We're very pleased with the results and our new lights.

We definitely had to sweep, vacuum, and mop after the work was done, but that was to be expected. I think this could be helped by wearing some disposable shoe covers when entering people's homes.

I can't say enough how happy I am with Troy and his crew. And my wife can't say enough how happy she was that I actually called someone to install the lights. We were in the process of ripping up old flooring and painting walls, so figured now's the time to finally put new recessed lights in our long, dark hallway. I'm pretty handy around the house and I've installed recessed lights in our other rooms and figured, no problem. Buuuut this was gonna be a little more in depth. Already having my hands full with other projects and the wife not really getting warm fuzzies with me staring at the ceiling with a confused/ dumb look on my face, we decided to have someone else tackle this.

With Facebook being as creepy as it is, AZ Recessed Lighting just happened to pop up in my feed a few days later. Now, I'm that grumpy guy who doesn't trust people, especially with my house. After looking at their website, I was impressed with the amount of photos of their work, and wide variety of projects in and outside the home, prompting me to call them. What stood out the most was the amazing communication with these guys, especially with the boss, Troy, via phone and email. Communication is a big deal with me and helps instill trust. We scheduled for June 19th.

Troy and his partner Eric showed up on time and went over some of different options with light placement for optimum lighting. Great communication with me during the project with regards to some small issues with house wiring layout and connections, but not without options to remedy. They had the project done in just four hours which would have taking me god knows how long. Altogether they installed 4 new recessed lights with 4 way dimmer, removed and patched/textured the two old wall sconce lights, and removed and patched/textured two old non working ceiling speakers.

I highly recommend AZ Recessed Lighting. There's trades people out there that do good work, but for some reason lack the ability to communicate with the customer, and ultimately provide good customer service. Troy and his crew can do both! Give them a try!

Oh and while Troy was in my attic, pointed out a small air leak in my AC duct which I patched. Much appreciated!

I haved used AZ Recessed Lighting twice - once for kitchen lights and most recently for bathroom lighting. Home was built in 1979 and had original lighting so it was pretty bad. They were on time, got the job done with no issues and did a great job! Will be using them again when we upgrade our living room lighting.

Troy was terrific. He was prompt, polite, and communicated his ideas with our expectations. We had a unique, old, now-defunct smart-home system that scared away 2 other electricians. Troy easily worked around it, updated it, all while doing what we expected him; installing spotlights. He did attic-work, many electrical box re-wirings, 3 way switch replacements, smart-switch installations, and even checked out our air-condition and water heater that were acting up. We were concerned with our furniture and artwork that he needed to negotiate around. He covered everything up; moved furniture, and was quite reasonable in his prices. We left him alone many times in the house and would trust him to do the same in the future. Great guy. Knows what he can do (much more than advertised) and has resources for what he doesn't (like painting). Would definitely recommend him.

I highly recommend their service. Troy and his team did work for me at my house about 1 1/2 ago. The work was done on time, at a very reasonable cost, and professional. I recently had to a troubleshoot and issue related to one of the lights and Troy was super responsive and equally important, helpful in getting my issue resolved. Fanastic customer service 1 1/2 after the work was done!

This is the second time we have used AZ Recessed lighting both times they were excellent! The most recent job was large many fans and LED lighting additional outlet and TV mounts. Theey were timely in completion of the job and very neat! I would recommend them highly and if needed at a later date they will be my first call for this type of work.

verything about my experience with AZ Recessed Lights was fantastic!! Not only did Troy and his associate replace my 90's cans for lovely modern lights, leaving the area as clean as it was when they arrived, but they discovered that my skylight was 100x better than I knew it to be (and I've been living in my house for a year.) The price was exactly the quote I was given and very reasonable. Planning to have more lights installed soon.

Great company, very responsive. They've done two separate jobs for me and both went smoothly. One of the recessed lighting cans they installed was too white and they came out two days later to replace them with ones that are more of a warm white and it looks fantastic. Can't recommend them enough.

The service was great. They scheduled the installation around my schedule, and provided good recommendations on how to set-up the lighting in the room. The installation was quick, and they were thorough in not making a mess during the process, and cleaning up what little mess was made. We had lights installed in the living room, dining room, and kitchen. They were very knowledgeable, very polite and extremely helpful. The work was done over a year ago now and everything has been great. Highly recommend.

First and foremost I was googling electricians and having a hard time even getting a free quote from larger companies that advertise on tv, and from those fliers that come in the mail. All but one said they had to charge me a $49 - $69 call fee for them to come and out and give me a quote. I ended up googling recessed lights and came across az recessed lighting. I read the reviews and saw nothing but positive experiences, thought this is too good to be true. I called Troy (the owner) who was finishing up on a job and took the time to talk with me. I explained that I needed to add 5 more recessed lights, 3 in my kitchen and 2 more in a hallway that was a little dark. He took my info and emailed me the bid and gave me a quote. Called about a week later for him to come over and to make sure that the price was accurate based off my guesstimates of ceiling heights. Troy and another electrician came over the next day and installed the lights. During the installation he double checked the placement with me prior to placing the lights because of the ductwork in the attic and there was a stud in the way. I will say from the other place that gave me a free quote, he beat their price and I can only assume that he would have beaten the prices from the other big companies that required a service fee for an estimate. I would definitely recommend Troy and az recessed lighting to my friends, family, and anyone reading this review. He does not cut corners in his job and he even pointed out an unsafe wiring on the light that he had to use so the new lights could be on the same switch and fixed it. Its kind of nice to see a neighbor with a small business that treat his customers with honesty, pride, and the fact that Troy is a nice guy.

My store looks way better with the new lights installed by Troy and his associate. They even came out on a holiday because I had an immediate need for more lighting prior to an event. The quote was affordable and I will save money in the future with the LED lights. I would highly recommend this company!

Just had can lighting installed in all our bedrooms, laundry room, master closet and guest shower, and could not be happier with the end results!!! Wish I had done this sooner!!!!!!
