Stoppleworth Plumbing

We had them come to address a stuck valve during a kitchen remodel. The person who came turned off the main line to the house and disconnected the line inside the basement to allow demo to continue and said we needed to call them for a full work estimate and handed me a ~100 dollar bill.

The valve they 'closed' was faulty and flooded our basement. I fixed the leak and capped the kitchen lines with 10 bucks worth of parts from Ace and then called them to try and move forward with the full repair but they never responded after coming and talking about the leak and the other repairs needed.

They don't stand by their work and don't respond and follow up when there's more work to be done.

The peple are so easy to deal with they are amazing and nice. Trust me if you need work done call them. Its worth it

Claimed I had not paid a bill and that they had sent monthly invoices. I did pay the bill (credit card receipt) immediately after service and never received additional invoices. They said it was up to me to prove i had paid the bill. Fortunately I had kept records going back to more than a year ago when the service was performed and paid for. I do not know whether the double billing a year later was accidental or intentional.

... yeah, not calling back, competitors (KJM, Avid, Cooper, others) scheduling projects 1-2 months away, calling back, stopping by and emailing quotes... clearly Stoppleworth could give about my 6-8K project :)

Edit: none of the explanation provided by the business below was provided during our conversation. Responding person repeated the same we do not accept new projects phrase (down to a word) 5 times in a row. That's where I asked if they interested in my project at all. They called it rude, I call it reasonable.

We used Stoppleworth to do an entire bathroom remodel seven years ago. While we had the room stripped down to the studs we took the opportunity to replace all of the pipe coming in and the drain going out including the vent stack.

We purchased a jetted tub through them and paid $1,200 more than what it would have cost had we ordered it online. We did this just so that we would have warranty protection.

Absolutely everything they touched has been a problem. The first thing that happened was a leaking the basement where they connected to the outside drain. We called them back and they fixed it but not before a closet had flooded. There was a leak between the back of the shower wall and our hall coat closet. They came out to fix it. Fortunately the wood floor was not damaged.

The toilet hardware was installed incorrectly and they had to come back out and fix that. For some time now there has been a knocking gurgling sound behind the wall behind the toilet when the sink or tub drains. I'm guessing that is some sort of air venting issue, I hope, and not dripping water that could be damaging the sub floor or a slow leak that could cause mold problems down the line. In order to inspect the issue the drywall behind the toilet would have to be removed.

Now let's talk about the tub. The access panel is permanently bowed because the tub was stored incorrectly. It had to have been stored on it's side for this type of bowing to have occurred. I paid a premium to insure proper handling of the tub. I have tried to have it remedied not knowing exactly why the access panel fell off every time I used the tub and was told to call the manufacturer who sent some worthless clips. Had Stoppleworth bothered to look or understand what to look for or take responsibilty for storing incorrectly in the first place, a new panel would have still been under warranty and shipped out for free. I just just discovered the cause of the problem today when we had a chip in the acrylic repaired. The repair person was fuming at the incompetence that created a situation in which a whirlpool tub can not be used without panel falling off and that the panel only sits there in place because Q-tips are wedged to keep in in place.

Travis from Stoppleworth was amazing! Our daughter is undergoing chemo now, so I asked them to come a little later than they wanted so she could sleep in. They adjusted the schedule and arrived right on time. When they showed up I was blown away. They came with booties, rubber gloves and facial masks. We do everything we can to stop the spread of colds and this was greatly appreciated! Travis and Austin got right to work and were able to solve all of our issues quickly and efficiently (fix a toilet that kept running, a sink handle that was hard to turn and a loose kitchen faucet). I had a few extra tasks for them to look at and they were able to fix those also. I will definitely recommend Stoppleworth when someone asks me for a plumber suggestion.

I had a water softener installed by Stoppleworth. I called around to three other places. Stoppleworth had the best availability and had the best value for the cost of the project. I also appreciated the family history of the business. Dillion (both of them) finished the work in almost half the time estimated and used the extra time to take a look at a toilet and tub drain I had questions about. They charged no additional cost for the time of those projects since they finished early! They wore masks during their time working and took the time to answer all my questions. I am glad I ended up choosing Stoppleworth out of the others I searched for. I will definitely recommend them and use them again.

Spent $200 asking Stoppleworth to fix a leak on an outside faucet and it's leaking again 6 months later (with no intervening freeze etc.) When I called the staff person just dug in her heels. We can only fix what you tell us to. You said the outside faucet was leaking. I told the plumber to assess where the leak was but he just replaced the outside faucet and didn't even test the inside shutoff. She thought it was funny that I was asking why if my previous costs should be assessed.

I called them based on a recommendation from a friend and I was not disappointed. I told them what my suspected problem was and they had someone out the next day. I really liked being able to email them my question/issue and their response time was fantastic. The actual person that came to my house was friendly, knowledgeable and fast! After he was done he walked me through the problem, what he fixed, and also showed me a potential problem in the future that I should get checked out (not a plumbing issue, but a result of my problem). I will definitely be spreading the word about this company!

I went to go find a replacement part for a Kohler kitchen faucet, and they were very helpful and sold me just what I needed. A great place!

You guys rock!!!! Called about no hot water and it was fixed the same day and very reasonable!! We will stick with stoppleworth for life!!!!
