These guys are outstanding. I own a construction company and wish I could hire employees like they have. Courteous, hard working and very professional. The install took a bit longer due to hard time getting unit into attic but they were determined to get it all done in same day. They brought in 2 more techs to help make that happen. Install took until 9:30 pm but nobody complained. They just busted their butts and got the job done. Well done!!

AMAZING ALL AROUND!!! The company responded to our inquiry incredibly fast and would have been here within hours if we have given our right number. so it was our issue but they came the very next morning and came prepared! They assessed the situation explained everything to ease our minds and fixed the problem well within an hour. They were very neat and even though we said we would clean up they did it themselves. Very fast, very friendly, and super affordable !!! CALL THEM NOW IF YOU NEED ANYTHING!!!

Watch out. I have three Trane units. One was not heating. Penguin sent a technician who found the unit had the gas off and the internal wires disconnected. It may have been disconnected when we bought the house 1 1/2 years ago. He hooked it up and it fired up. That night we smelled gas. The same tech came back the next day and determined the internal gas valve was bad. He could have blown up the house by hooking it up without checking it. The price he quoted for replacing the valve was $1,100+. Just looking at the valve said that wasn't right. I checked on line while he was here and the valve itself costs less than $75. The repair was straight forward and wouldn't take more than an hour. The only special tool required was a pressure tester. I told him I would pay $550. He checked with his manager who said no, but they would throw in service for a year. I said i needed a better price, but they refused. I said no and he left. Later i got an email with an invoice for no service charge for the second call and an estimate for $700. I ordered the part on line for $95 with expedited shipping and changed it out myself in less than 1 hour. I'm pretty handy, but it wasn't much of a job. fortunately I had two other units so it wasn't a crisis to have one down. Someone in a crisis or with less mechanical experience would have gotten jammed by Penguin. This seemed like the kind of predatory company you read about. Stay away.

So, bought a new home a year after, the ac unit was making a squeaking sound from fan motor. This happened after we had rain. So I called them, 1 month for there repair people to come out. Ok, not a major rush. One month later they come out and it wasn’t squeaking anymore. Fine, then the guy told me $500.00 to replace it, I said it’s under warranty isn’t it, he said parts only. I said I will wait if it’s under warranty. One year later the upstairs unit is blowing hot air. 90 degrees, so called them that night and said someone will call me at 8 am, no call. So I called at 9 am, she told me they can come out a week later, are you kidding, what a joke! This company is a major joke. Oh, I failed to mention the first day we moved into this new home, ac wasn’t cooling down stairs, we kept lowering temp down stairs and raising upstairs because upstairs was freezing. Next day we found out the messed up and switched wiring so upstairs ran on downstairs and downstairs ran on upstairs. What a joke! Do your self a favor, stay away from Chas Roberts.

We trusted Day and Night to install a new AC unit and were not disappointed. Every interaction whether it was over the phone or in person was spot on. Danny and Tomas were very knowledgeable and professional. Today Vincent after servicing the unit to make sure it was operating properly (it was!) went the extra mile to not only program the new thermostat but explain clearly in detail how to operate it. We are so very grateful. Jason wonderful as well with terrific follow through. We are very impressed. We had an under-foundation leak and needed someone ASAP. Scott was able to get out quickly, assess the situation, and recommend what needed to be done. Scott was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. It was an easy decision to go with Scott. He was able to fix the problem without putting a hole in our floor. We are very satisfied with Scott and can easily recommend him to others.

Our AC stopped working on a sunday night and I called Ace home services the following morning. They were able to get to my house by noon that day. Stuart was in and out of there within 15 mins and took care of the issue. Very reasonably priced. Paid much less than anticipated. Would definitely recommend.

I would like to share my experience with Reddi Services/Jan Ashford Plumbing. First let me explain the 2 names. Redi-Services is who I called, but Jan Plumbing is who showed up.

On Sunday September 8th I needed the service of a plumber. I will try to explain my displeasure for the company and service in a chronological order.

I called at 6:30am and they assured that I would be the first job of the day, I was told I would receive a phone call at 8am when Dispatch opened. At 8:30 after no phone call I headed to the store to get the parts to fix the leak myself.
ISSUE 1. They never called back, I had to call them

I purchased the $23 in parts and called Reddi Services back.They said a plumber would be there shortly. I now had bids from other plumbers I had called. Average cost was $100-125
Jan Ashford Plumbing (sent by Reddi Services) showed up around 9:15am. The plumber quoted me $260. I was able to get the price reduced to $221 and agreed to do the work. The Plumber then told me he was going to use my parts I just purchased. I asked if he had his own parts and he said yes, but will have to charge me more.
ISSUE 2. The price was double what I had already been quoted verbally.
ISSUE 3. The plumber asked to use my parts or who would charge me more money than his already inflated price.

The repair took approximately 30 minutes as I was working in the yard nearby and noticed the water was back on. I walked over and he said it was done. It was then I pointed out that his repair was leaking. He seemed frustrated and said he would have to charge me for more parts to fix the leak.
ISSUE 4. I had to point out the leak to the plumber. I paid for a professional to fix the issue without leaking.
ISSUE 5. The Plumber wanted to charge me more money to fix his faulty work.

Another 30 minutes went by and he was able to finally fix the leak. I asked him to cover the pipes back up and he acted as if he was doing me a favor and then used my tools to do it.
ISSUE 6. I didn't expect attitude to cover the pipes back up. If I had not asked they would have left with the pipes exposed in the ground. They didn't bring any tools to do this, so I guess they are not equipped to fix repairs under the earth.

I now I had several bids returned back to me from other plumbers. All were less than $150 to do the repairs based upon several pictures provided and descriptions of the work needed. At this point I felt as if I was being price gouged. The repair if he had done it correctly the first time only took 30 minutes as I had most of the prep work done. With me supplying the pipes and fittings that means I would have been charged $442 per hour. My cost was $221. Reddi Services states they don't charge a trip charge and will give you a free estimate. Let me repeat that. If he had repaired it correctly the first time in the 30 minutes, I would have been charged $442 dollars per hour (1/2 hour at $221). Even with having to cut his leaking repair off and re doing it was just over an hours work. This was still over $200 per hour for a plumbing job that most plumbers in AZ charge 80-90 per hour for labor.

We are a smoke free family, and while I was working outside, I could smell cigarette smoke. I found the plumber sitting on the ground smoking while he was working.
ISSUE 7 The plumber was smoking on my property while working.

I tried to pay with a credit card and was told I would be charged 10% so I paid in cash.
ISSUE 8. wanted to charged 10% extra to pay in credit.

I contacted Reddi Services to express my concerns I have outlined above. The end result was an offer of $40 refund not the $100 I requested. I declined the $40.
ISSUE 9. I attempted to resolve this with management but was only offered a $40 dollar credit and no real apology for their performance.

If you want to be price gouged, have the repair done twice, supply your own parts, have the worker smoke on your property, and try to again price gouge you to use your credit card, then give Jan Ashford a call, Im sure you wont be disappointed.
