WE FIRST DISCOVERED FORD'S PLUMBING, AT THE START OF THE PANDEMIC! RILEY CAME OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, WHEN OUR WATER HEATER WAS MAKING VERY SCARY NOISES! WE HAD QUITE A BIT OF WORK DONE, AFTER THAT INITIAL VISIT! EVERYONE WAS JUST GREAT! ABOUT 10 DAYS AGO, OUR KITCHEN SINK BACKED UP! IT WAS DISGUSTING! SANTIAGO CAME OUT, LATE ON A SATURDAY EVENING! IT WAS A MORE COMPLICATED PROBLEM, THAT REQUIRED REPLACING THE PIPES UNDER THE SINK!
SANTIAGO, JORGE, DINO AND JOHNNIE CAME OUT, TO DO THE LARGER JOB! THEY WERE ALL SO WONDERFUL! SANTIAGO WAS ABLE TO REASSURE US, EVERYTHING WOULD BE OKAY! HE IS AN ABSOLUTE SWEETHEART, AS WELL AS AN AMAZING PLUMBER! THE WHOLE TEAM WAS INCREDIBLE! WE HAD ALREADY WELCOMED LUIS INTO OUR FAMILY, A FEW MONTHS AGO! NOW, OUR FAMILY HAS GROWN AGAIN! The guy that came to give us an estimate on the Electrical Nightmare in our Garage was great! The guy knew his stuff, told us EXACTLY what needed to be done, why, and gave us an estimate right then & there. He was totally honest & didn’t try to offer any unnecessary add on’s. It took me a month to realize the sewer sump pump at the back of my property was not working. Not knowing what lurked underground, I needed help fast.

Edwin came to the rescue.

Other plumbers on Yelp indicated they had knowledge of sump pumps. But Edwin was clearly the most knowledgeable when we first talked. It was well worth waiting until the next day when he was available.

Edwin showed up exactly when he said (rare in a contractor), showed me what the issue was, explained what was required to fix it. He also provided me with options to save some money.

It turned out to be a big job. The original sump pump was improperly installed 2' underground with the access pipes over the lid, making it impossible to open up the pump to see inside. Just to see inside took an hour, digging and cutting away the pipes. The pump was filled with roots.

After discussing my options, Edwin returned the next day with a new sump pump. He recommended installing an alarm to prevent the same problem in the future. At first I opted out on the alarm to save money. But later realized he was right; an alarm would help me maintain the new pump instead of replacing it every few years (a much larger expense).

Edwin is very thorough. He explains how everything works in an easy to understand way. He even sent me photos when I was not on site. And he's clean! I didn't have to clean up after him.

It's assuring to find a contractor as honest, friendly and reliable as Edwin. I've started an Edwin To-Do List. I'll be calling him again and I strongly recommend you do to.

Called Gateway Rooter for a gas leak issue, Nick showed up within an hour, did a full inspection. Found two trouble spots that needed to be addressed, did not charge for the inspection and completed the job needed. Will call Gateway Rooter for any other plumbing issues in the future. Highly recommend Gateway Rooter to anyone.

Giovanni is very professional technician. He changed our water pressure regulator in 30 minutes. No more issue of our hammer noise. He puts on the shoe covers before entering to the house.

We had a drain problem in our kitchen; almost all the pipes got blocked because of which the dirt water got stagnant under the sink. We have a party starting in few hours in our house and as there was less time we tried to fix it but in vain; then I started to call plumbers in our local area, everyone said they can’t fix it in that less time so they will show up next day. Few plumbers suggested us to postpone our party as it’s almost impossible to fix that big drain problem in just few hours. At that time, luckily my neighbors suggested me to call Arie Plumbing and so I did. Without any hesitation their team came to my house, analyzed the problem & worked really smart with their most advanced equipments and got it fixed in just 2 hours and they cleaned up everything. I've used Richard's service twice now (once to install a new gas line and once to fix a cracked sink). Richard and his team were always professional and they did a quick, fantastic job. I'll go to Chicago Plumbing with all of my plumbing and gas line needs in the future.

BEWARE: They will rip your elderly family off!!!!

My mom called Ford's Plumbing and Heating to check out an old manifold heating system. Long story short, the techs who showed up said that they don't work on manifold heating systems and charged a $99 service call fee for coming out.

To make matters worse, my mom asked them for a quote on a toilet install while they were out there. They must have been licking their chops when they quoted $1660 for a 1-piece toilet and install. Unbelievable! My mom unfortunately paid the $99 service call fee, and I installed the toilet myself for $425 in about 30 minutes.
