Crowded when we arrived so it took awhile to get helped, but that wasn't really their fault. Service was top notch - very helpful and provided a lot of extra, relevant information. Prices seem competitive - not rock bottom, but not offensively high.

George Morlan Tigard has everything for plumbing but the best thing is Glyn Stubbs, Sales Lead, who took time to find a touch-operated faucet that fits my wife's wrist injury and to show how we could switch the cartridge to fix a leaky faucet. Great to find someone who listens and explains.

I used to work here until they fired me today for asking to go home early because I was feeling extremely fatigued and just downright terrible. I was fired within 5 minutes. As to their business practices, we would often sell products we knew were broken or malfunctioning. This company parades as conservative and friendly but they constantly talk about customers behind their back and make fun of them. This company was the worst company I ever had the displeasure of working for.

Edit: since writing this review, I went to pick up my last check and they banned me from the store.

We are remodeling and are looking to purchase a new shower, sinks, and a toilet. Walked in to George Morlan at Tigard store. Wandered for 30 minutes looking at everything. Not once did any of the 3 employees ask to help us. We were the only ones in the store. Going elsewhere to purchase what we need.

Ordered Kohler shower base April 26th with a projected delivery date of 4 - 6 weeks, that was fine, I did not need it until first week of July. Fast forward to May 31st, still not in, fast forward to June 22 after a couple other calls - oh, there was a fire at Kohler (there was, JANUARY 25th!) and won't be available until September sometime.. Not one word to me about this until two months after ordering. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I understand the fire is not their fault, but if I had been made aware of this when I ordered I would have had time to consider other options and possibly complete my project in the time frame I had in mind. My suggestion to anyone told their part has to be ordered - think twice as you may end up having to wait months to get it. Needless to say, I cancelled my order and will not be giving George Morlan any of my future business nor will I suggest them to anyone.

Polah was a pleasure to deal with however when i had a question about needing to use backer board, the person she asked the question to (looked like a manager, he was counting money behind the counter) said i don't know what the code is where you live when i got home it became obvious that backer board was not needed on this model. Maybe it is because he is not familiar with the product even though it says on the box that you connect it directly to the studs. As a small business owner i would spend more effort to answer a customers question whom just spent $415 at my store. Bottom line is if you don't know, just say so or put forth some effort to help the customer. I would have given 5 stars if he simply told me what the box says or don't sell a product you don't know about due to my pleasant experience with Polah.

i had one of there trucks cut me off i was almost rear ended i called the tigard shop to let them know one of there drivers were being unsafe!! they put me on hold and never came back to the phone call!! very rude no wonder they have crappy employees the worst part of this whole ordeal is that i had my 2 little daughters in my car!! i will never use this company for any service!! and i will sure to tell everyone i know about this!! thanks for your very poor customer service victor!!! he was the employee who answered the phone!! unprofessional driver and unprofessional employee just shows george morlan plumbing in tigard is an unprofessional business!!

Todd was fantastic and so patient while trying to find the correct replacement cartridges for faucets that I purchased from them 15 years ago. I still need to go home and get more information on the other set I need and will work with Todd again. I use George Morlan's plumbing for everything I need. The know their business well.

I was pleased with how quickly I was able to get scheduled. The plumber sent out was very nice and professional. I also found them to be the best priced after calling many companies. The reason for my three star review is that the plumber did not test all of the electrical components before or after install. So when I turn on the faucet expecting hot water it was cold. They came back out to look at it and it turns out that the electrical from the wall was bad. I understand this is not their fault however, I am a bit upset that he did not inform me of this. He had to have known that power was not being provided to the new unit after installation? Is it not standard practice to test for power after install?

Went in to the Tigard location to make a purchase of both a shower valve and shower kit (not price compare or look around) again to purchase. So, in essence they already have my money. After five minutes of looking around a sales person approached me and I was met with the most condescending and patronizing consumer experience. Wow, what an unpleasant surprise.

The worst customer service. Counter sales rep was rude and condescending, I walked out because of the way he treated me. Also, have been in twice before this looking at faucets for our home remodel and no one ever came to ask if we needed help. Plenty of employees around but no offers to answer any questions. Going elsewhere to buy all of our plumbing supplies for kitchen and 2 bath remodels.

You know you are a part of the issue when you entered at closing time , but I was on a mission and kinda knew what I needed and Jan said it was fine, but with a whatever type of look. She brought out 2 different styles and left them in the box on the counter, only showing me the small black and white photo on the box, not the merchandise and when I asked to look, she gave me another look of why, there's a photo on the box ...hummm ... Then, she said it's probably pointless, but I need your name for the computer to look up the faucets ... hummm ... I gave her my name and decided to buy, and I got the look again of ... really .... I apologized for arriving at closing time again and was very thankful for them staying open. During our checkout, she shared with me that she and another staff member who was helping her had just gotten over the flu and looked exhausted .... So, the worst part wasn't her rude attitude or her appearance, it was at the end when she sneezed into her hand that was holding my bag and receipt. Speechless! Someone her age should definitely know germs and sneezing into your elbow would've stopped me from writing a review. But you're spreading germs to the public by going into work sick!

Decide to take back my purchase the following day, yesterday, but was feeling stressed that we had to go back to the same store for returns. Hubby called and we were able to go to the Foster locations instead, which is a lot closer to home ... it was too modern and not all the parts needed weren't there. However, things happen for reasons and we are very thankful for the team behind the counter at the Foster location (Neeley and Nate) you guys saved us and definitely represent good service and awesome knowledge! They sent us home with all the parts needed and saved us some money too. They also took the time to configure a tight spot with the right parts. The hard part now is doing the labor ... lol ...

FYI ... This is my first time writing a review in many many years, but, Jan made impressions that are everlasting and needs to either take customer service/health classes or retire!

Called in the morning to get water heater serviced. They said they'd be at my home between 2 and 6 PM. I took off work all afternoon. When I called at 5:30, they assured me the service techs had to finish their work and would definitely be there by the end of the evening. Looks like we're having cold showers again tmrw morning.

Several years ago, we bought a fancy new brand of glass shower doors from Morlan, and after a few weeks, I bumped one in just the right way, and it shattered. A Morlan repairman immediately installed a different brand of shower doors, which are still in use today. When we have questions that can't be answered on the phone, we drive out there, take a number and a knowledgeable member of the Morlan crew will spend as much time as we need for understanding. Local Service in a building where we can see and ask about a product that we are interested in is disappearing in the onslaught of growing web-based monopolies. We vote for Morlan.

Glyn Stubbs at the Tigard store is amazing! Twice I’ve asked him for advice on plumbing problems related to sinks and faucets. Each time he took the time to walk me through the replacement/repair.
Both times he printed off the diagram of the faucets and its parts and instructed me on how to do the repair. I bought the parts and went to work.
The last time a few days ago his direction helped me fix a problem for which a well known plumbing company gave me a $1,300 estimate. That cost me $50 in parts and a couple hours of work!!!
Unbelievable!! I’ve done business with that plumbing company for 20 years! Never again. Thanks, Glyn.
ps: Glyn, I hope this doesn’t swamp you with a bunch of novices asking for advice.

I have done 3 plumbing projects in the past 3 months and was glad I went to Morlan plumbing to get the right quality parts. The garbage disposal that I put in stopped working but I didn't have to remove and replace it myself. The warranty included that. The great help I got today for repairing an older sink was extremely helpful.

So here we are 7 or 8 weeks into an order that was suppose to take 3.
We ordered a one hole enamel white sink ( something you would think a Plumbing store would either have in stock or could get easily) and told it would be here in 3 weeks. We recently have done an entire kitchen relocation and remodel in the time it has taken to get the darn sink. The only thing holding up my kitchen.
We have been told so many stories as to why it hasn't arrived that I won't waste my breath sharing.
Please pray my sink arrives soon and Please also do your shopping elsewhere!

Called in to ask some questions about a shower faucet and was told to come in and look for myself because he was to busy to talk to me. I said well he will have more time cause he won't have me for a customer. I will never buy anything from them again. When I was a contractor I bought many things from them but never again.

Came in first time two ladies were short and acting like u should know more. Finally got a new person Joel. After we complained with how we were being treated. Joel come out He was amzing . The manager was Bidget and tried to fix it. She was trying to help.

Called in 5/11 and asked if stuff was in. The guy was short. We asked him to slow down. He said we are not the only customer .Asked to talk to manager. He said he was. He went on to say bridgett was not. And we are lucky he answered phone. And maybe my husband should have a sit down talk to him. We had to ask 3 times for corporate number . He wouldn't give it. The guy aka manager was Victor. He also said Joel wouldn't be here on tues. As he hung up on my husband. Wow! all over trying to make sure out stuff is in correctly.since we drive an hour to get it.

5/12 seen bridget and she was amazing. Joel was amazing and here. Wish these two were in charge and yes we did ask for them. Love them and their personalities and knowledge.

Stopped in to pick up an ordered item and was treated like I was a burden from the start. Wasn't clear on where I should enter store and staff members were irritated when I asked. Then, staff rudely said don't touch anything, on't breathe on anything! even though I was wearing a mask and reassured him that I'm sensitive to behaving safely. On top of this, had to wait 25 minutes in line. Will never do business with this location again.

Victor (the manager) is arrogant and very unprofessional. I purchased some parts for a shower from the Tigard location and had to go back for the entire rough in kit. The gentleman at the counter was very helpful and told me I could bring back the other pieces I purchased since the entire kit also includes them. I told him that I opened one of the parts and he said that is fine as long as it wasn't installed I could return it.
When I came back to return it Victor told me that he wouldn't take it back because it was opened and he couldn't resale it. When I explained to him that I was told differently he said by who? I told him that I didn't know his name but it is on the receipt. He acted as if he didn't believe me and said lets see what he says about that. The other employee confirmed that he told me that but Victor still treated me very rudely. He seriously does not understand the concept of customer service. I flip homes and I have spent over $2,000 there in the last few months but will never go back.

I gutted my second bathroom and needed to replace the valves and hardware for the shower/bath/sink . The selection at Lowes and Home Depot were very limited. I went to Tigard George Morlan. It was late in the day and the store was busy.I was a little overwhelmed at the large selection and needed help. Robin offered her assistance and was wonderful with her expertise and going the extra mile to educate me on safety changes in plumbing. She redirected me to redo my water turn on/off and even went out to get inventory in back to ensure I had best selection. Although she was under a lot of pressure with phones ringing and line of people and store about to close, she held her cool and demonstrated kindness and respect to everyone. Great business! Attention truck drivers. When delivering to this location use the side entrance off Johnson Street. See the photo attached. Probably be best to slide your tandems all the way forward once you turn into the truck entrance. You will need to go around the front side to get around to the back. It's a very tight turn. They will get you unloaded as fast as they can, but they do not have a dock.

These guys are great! At 4:30pm I was in a full on panic. I tried to replace my tub faucet and thought I could reuse the existing shower cartridge. Didn't work, and I broke it anyways. I couldn't figure out how to get the new one to fit and I was dreading telling my wife the water would be off until a plumber could come out. One of the guys at the counter walked me through what I needed to do. By 6pm the shower was working and my wife is none the wiser.

My elderly in-laws called George Morlan Plumbing to look at an electric hot water heater, WHICH GM INSTALLED, a few years ago. The technician found a faulty wire nut and replaced it. Left my in-laws with a $200 bill! I wish I could have been there to protect them. Despicable.

Our water heater went out so we called George Morlan at 8AM to schedule a service visit to get a new one installed. The person I spoke with took down all of my information and said a dispatcher would call me back. By 10:30 the dispatcher still hadn't called me to tell me when someone would be out. At that point, I decided to contact someone else, who was out here within 1 hour. If the dispatcher takes that long to just schedule the appointment, I didn't want to know how long it would be until someone was actually out at the house. When I called to cancel our service call, I didn't get an apology or anything. Not going to call them again.

Went here to ask for help in replacing an unidentifiable shower handle. Was helped at first by one of their staff. Midway through researching what part I might need to fix it, some other guy walks up and asks a question.

Dude helping me promptly forgets about me and starts dealing with this other guy. I figured Hey, maybe it's gonna be a minute to get that guy some help because it's quick, and he'll be back with me. Nope. 10 minutes of standing around waiting and being ignored and I figured I had enough. I left.

So thanks for that, guess I'll be using the internet for help from now on. If you know exactly what you want I suppose this is the place to go. If you need someone to take 5 minutes out of their day to help you, probably look elsewhere.

I came in today because the diverter piece in our tub spout wasn't working. I previously went to Lowe's and got a universal spout that didn't end up working because we have some janky plumbing in the house. I ended up going to George Morlan and I showed the spout to a really helpful employee, Austin. He was able to offer a repair kit and took the time to actually help repair it with the kit while I was there. I only had to buy the repair kit and not a whole new spout. Austin is awesome and provided amazing customer service. Thank you!

Just experienced a complete lack of customer service!! We called ahead to see if they had a certain product. The salesperson who answered assured me they had the sink I was looking for. When we drove 45 minutes to come and get it, the sales lady that helped us was rude and said there was no way they had anything like that in stock! When mentioned my earlier call she informed me that I must have spoken with a new employee. Seriously, frustrating and we will not be trusting this company ever again.

During a bathroom remodel they left us for a month and a half with a torn up bathroom. When we submitted our lengthy order (tub, sinks, everything) they said it would all be there the 3rd week in January. By the middle of February we still didn’t have most of the order. Come to find out half of it was on backorder. If we had known that we would have ordered something else. I called and called. Finally Victor got involved and had a couple of items similar to what we ordered delivered to us the same day because all the subcontractors were being held up. He tried to make it right which was why this review gets 2 stars instead of one. After all of the parts were finally in we made the mistake of trying to get some replacement parts for another room. They said they didn’t have them there but to go to their warehouse. Got there and they didn’t have them either. This info should be correct on their computers but it is not. They may be able to fix their problem with 21st century computers. The ones they’re using look like they were made in 1982.

I have always felt that George Morgan plumbing had less than average customer service but today is the worst. My customer was sold a shower valve and trim kit that not only didn't work together but the cartridge that was sold didn't ever fit the valve body. When I took everything back to them they wanted to charge my customer for the correct parts and where very rude to my customer and myself. I lost a day of work because of this and to be told to grab my parts and leave in the end was the poorest customer service I have ever witnessed. I highly recommend going elsewhere for your plumbing needs .

We walked in wanting a Toto toilet and told the guy if you want a sale, get someone on the phone who can install it. They got someone on the phone right then and we bought the toilet. It was painless. Other than the fact the store is right off 99 and we drove out during heavy traffic. That sucked.

I bought some plumbing supplies for
my elderly father. One item (6in pipe) we didnt use so my dad drove all the way down to the showroom to return it only to be told they wouldn’t take it because it had a small scratch. It came in a plastic bag so who knows when it got scratched. I guess they want us to shop at home depot where they take anything back and dont hassle you. Jerks!

George Morlan Plumbing, water heater service was great. Started with Bridgett in Tigard store to Chuck, water heater installer. Bridgett knew her product and Chuck worked in 105 temps to make sure I had hot water.

Needed a cartridge for an older Moen Roman Tub Faucet. Moen online Customer Service was absolutely worthless, even directed me to buy the wrong cartridges. Very bad customer service, employees talk to you in a rude tone and make you feel like a bother. They are not accommodating nor are they very welcoming into their store. I walked into the store and had 2 employees walk right past me, never made eye contact with me, but proceeded to greet other people behind me. It was my third time into the store after I had been told 3 previous times that my order would be in store, but every time I went in it was not there. I had to drive all the way to Salem from Beaverton to pick up my order... anyway, I will no longer shop here.

I needed a water heater same day..i called many places , wrote all down ,we decided to go with George morland i was quoted $ 1025 for all , pretty much same as home depot , when he was finished all of a sudden i received a 5O gallon tank when i asked for a 40, and price was almost $200 over what i was quoted , then the girl who i talked to Marisol and office manger lied and said i ordered a 50 gallon when all the places i called i explained i wanted a 40 gallon, and i wrote down all info. I have been told this company does this this to customers and i am very very upset.

I am aware that this store is quite a legend in these parts and that some customers appreciate tradition they represent but to me personally, G. Morlan's store did not give any reason to come back again. And I don't need them to have sales staff that grins all the time like those poor saps working in yellow t-shirts but I really felt that I'm bothering them and that I'm not good enough for that place. Plus what's up with haggling??? In year 2016 haggling over $5 (or <2%) just doesn't feel right.

I came in to find out about bath tub options and Victor ( manager ) very quickly steered me to his private consultation business that I was to call after 7pm. He also wrote $200 consultation fee on his card and said that any bids accepted will absorb that fee. He made it clear the business is distinct and separate from George Morlan.
So I learned very little and it seems like a conflict of interest : instead of helping a customer, he was evaluating me as a contract/job prospect. Something basic is not right here, I think.

Seriously people. Go elsewhere. Absolute worst customer service ever. I called on Tuesday. Spoke to Stephan. I advised hot water heater leaking. At least 16 years old. Needed replacing. We scheduled for today....Friday 09/07.
He said his whole day was wide open. Perfect I told him, go ahead and pencil me in as his first client of the day
I called this morning at 8:46 looking for him. Was told he would call me right away.
I got a call from Marisol at 11:29 saying that they are confused about what they are suppose to be doing. Seriously 3 hours later.
How can that be ? I asked her. I called in yesterday with the size and pictures of my current water heater and they have known since Tuesday.
She says they can still come and then finally gives me a price quote.
She offered me a lousy $25.00 off
I don't know who I'm going to go with but it definitely isn't these people.

[Added on 2/7] - George Morlan obviously watches this because they quickly posted a response from the owner. I emailed immediately and didn't hear anything until I updated this review with that fact. Within hours I had an email saying that Alex Kramien would like to discuss this matter with me and correct the issue. I responded to their email within two hours providing more contact information and availability. That was 11 days ago and I have not heard back from them again.

I purchased two sinks at George Morlan and the salesman had trouble finding what I was trying to order in the computer. I was ordering the exact sink that was on display. I attempted to check that the item was correct, and the salesman assured me that it was correct, and from the description of the items shown on the receipt, it appeared correct. However, when the sink arrived it was the wrong item. The sink was an under mount instead of drop in, which was not shown on the description, and I was not even aware was an option.

George Morlan said they would make it right and ordered replacement sinks. When they finally came in, I went in to pick them up and dealt with Derek. Derek loaded the new sinks in my car and did the exchange paperwork, then informed me that I owed more money because the sale was over and these sinks cost more. I said that I was under the impression that this was an even exchange. Derek's attitude completely changed and he responded with what I perceived to be indignation saying You can’t just take more than what you paid for.” When I asked why the price difference was not addressed earlier, he said that I “should have thought to ask about that when I first called.”

Derek’s posturing, raised voice, and tone made me feel that he was attempting to intimidate me. In addition, I felt his actions were causing a scene and calling attention to our conversation. He came around from the behind the counter and stood very close to me. While not yelling, his voice was raised sufficiently for most patrons in the store to hear, and some were overtly watching us.

Derek told me that I “should have known” what I was buying as I “had the part number right there on the receipt in front of me.” The fact that I raised the question of accuracy at the time of purchase and was assured it was correct was irrelevant to Derek. I even pointed out the description given on the receipt also appeared correct. Paraphrasing, Derek said it was my job to go home and look up the part number to ensure that I had actually been sold what I had requested.

Derek even admitted that “My sales guy sold you the wrong thing adding but that doesn't mean anything.” He reiterated that it was not George Morlan’s fault that I didn’t know what I was buying and that this was a “buyer beware type thing.” Upon asking to return the sinks so I could follow his advice and do some additional research and think about it, Derek told me that he had already ordered the replacements, they were in my car and he’d taken care of the paperwork “so we can't just unwind everything” apparently indicating that I had no alternatives. After a while Derek ended our conversation by telling me that I could speak to the manager and be told the same thing, or pay the difference.

After getting nowhere with Derek I spoke to the manager on duty, who while more conciliatory, didn't offer any better solutions than to pay the difference (though he did reduce the price of the sinks). A few days after, I wrote a letter about this incident to the company, but as of a month later have received no response.

I am still shocked at Derek's behavior and attitude. The issue of a price difference aside, his behavior and attitude was completely unacceptable. To a female or someone smaller than Derek, his behavior could have been interpreted as incredibly threatening. I can't express how disappointed I am as I was looking forward to having a local resource as I do some renovations. After this incident though, I will not be returning to George Morlan for anything.

Plumber who came to my house to fix my water heater did a great job.

My problem though is that with their call center. They seem to have taken lessons from the Tesla School of Customer Communication. The day that the plumber was suppose to come out, I was to get a call by 8:30 AM, I had to call at 9:30 and the person on the other end of the phone acted as if I completely ruined her day by making her give me the information on when my service was going to start. When it was 30 minutes past the time when the plumber was to arrive, I had to call to find out that he was delayed and I would then have to reschedule for the next day and they promised that the plumber would be at my home by 4 PM. I called at 5 PM, because of the wonderful customer communication, was informed that he would be late. I finally got my water heater fixed by 6 PM.

Again, the plumber did an excellent job, just there is NO communication from the call center when they should call you or when something has gone amiss.

Saturday plumbing emergency required a new ceramic faucet cartridge. No local stock at all the usual general hardware stores. So glad I went to GM. They have refurb'd the interior so it seems a bit more spacious. Service was prompt considering how busy it was and I got the part I needed.

We visited the Tigard store to learn about options for replacing our hot water heater as well as the 45-year-old (and still working) boiler that is the source of radiant floor heat in our home. No one seemed to have a clue what kind of product we would need, and we were referred to a scheduler to see if we could learn more. The scheduler wasn't sure either, offered no useful information or anyone in the stores who could help. Our only option would be to schedule a $99 home visit to see if it is possible. To which I say: It must be nice work, if you can get. We skipped the offer. I urge others to do the same or to tread cautiously at best.

When you've been looking around, then sitting waiting, for 30 minutes and a salesman from the back introduces himself and opens with Are you guys tired of being ignored yet? Well, I gather you know you're not going to get great service. However, Brandon did provide good service, but you could tell his teammates were a bunch of crony former used car salesman types. That's not a compliment by the way. Hope he's on commission as I know I spent the most money of anyone in the store at the time of my visit being I dropped over $1100 on a new tub and fixture in 10-15 minutes, once I got service.

And then they don't communicate with you that your delivery will not arrive in the morning as scheduled, or rather, not even the same day. And I had to make the phone call to find that out, not the other way around. That's just another sign of lousy customer service. They only get three stars because they do carry quality products, otherwise this would be a 1.5-2 at best. George Morlan, the VA of customer service.

They just failed on a faucet order also and didn't get it delivered because someone dropped the ball. Again, the only reason I use this outfit is that they carry high quality products, their service is lousy. I wonder how they stay in business operating this way.

My husband and I visited this store looking for new bathroom shower and tub fixtures for our two bathrooms. To say it was a struggle communicating with the woman assisting us would be an understatement. Very quickly into our visit the woman cut my husband off and seemingly dismissed him and anything he had to say. She proceeded to show us the most outdated and cheapest fixtures on the face of the planet no matter how many inquiries were made to the high end models and she seems to have some strange alliance with Delta. I'm not saying Delta isn't a well known or reliable product but we were wanting something with a bit more flair to it given the fact this is our home and not a quick turn. I rated quality and appeal as poor to fair based on the garbage we were shown, I know they have much better quality but we weren't allowed the opportunity to view those products. As for service, i think it goes without saying...insulting your customer by only showing them the cheapest products you carry you pretty much can be assured a poor rating.

Went into the store in Foster. Waited almost an hour before someone talked to us. No one told us we needed to take a number. That should have warned us. Placed an order for new bathroom fixtures and a sink on 8/2/2013. They told us it would take a few weeks to arrive. Called in Sept. Nothing was in and they said they would call back with an eta. Called in Oct: half the order was in and they said they would call back with an eta. Called back several times this week and was repeatedly called and told they would call back with and ETA. Called in today (10-24) and was told that the complete order is in stock. Over 2.5 months later. I just hope everything is as promised as we no longer have time to exchange anything. I thought I was placing the order super early so I wouldn't have to stress over it for a November 4 project start date.

tl;dr - Long wait in store, 2.5+ months to receive order, had to call repeatedly to get information as they never called back as they said they would.

I don't understand the hype about this store.

I've been here 3 times looking for either showerheads or bathroom faucets or kitchen faucets.
- their selection, on first appearance seems decent. However it's actually not any better or worse than a big box store.
- what selection there is, is towards the higher end (I genuinely saw a $3,000 kitchen faucet, but only a handful under $200).
- website is appalling.
- in my 3 recent visits I've never once had a staff member ask me if I've found what I'm looking for.......or basically even talk to me.

Went to George Morland in Tigard to get some advice and parts to repair a break in the water service line to my house, and a break in the ABS sewer line. I had taken some pictures, so I printed those out and the salesman looked at them all with me and helped me figure out exactly what I needed. So nice. Can’t say enough about how kindly they treated a simple homeowner with two urgent plumbing problems. Thank you GM, we’ll be back to buy sinks and stuff for remodels. Not even going to compare prices. 5 STARS ***** !!

I purchased a $5.50 part to repair a kitchen faucet. Installing that part turned out to be somewhat problematic. Derek and Derek D graciously spent quite a bit of time figuring it out for me and making sure the faucet worked smoothly. Although I have purchased a number of products from their store, I hadn't even bought this particular faucet from them in the first place.

If it weren't for the plumber's positive attitude and willingness to work around a house-vac that was slightly in the way this would have been one star.

After hearing all the radio commercials, I decided to give George Morlan a try. After comparing several local plumbers, George Morlan was the only company that had availability to replace a failed water heater within a few days; everyone else was a week or more out.

I was quoted $1,008 for a 6 year water heater including install and permit. They provided a Reliance brand budget water heater that can be purchased for $400 locally. Additionally, the permit they pull (Oregon Minor Label program) costs only $14, but I was charged $39.

In all, the labor ended up being over $500 for 40 minutes worth of work.

Considering I asked them to quote replacing both of my water heaters and they were only willing to offer a $50 discount for two at once, I'm very happy I decided to replace only one.

I absolutely will not be back for my second water heater which will also need replacement shortly.

Went to replace natural gas water heater. Same capacity (50 gal) and power (40,000 btu/hr) had 3 choices: 6/9/12 year warranty. They only had 6 year in stock on site. But with significant computer research they determined a 12 year was at the warehouse near Allen Blvd. and hwy 217. Pickup there went well. The Tigard location happily accepted the old tank for recycle, let me borrow a pipe wrench to strip it of gas nozzles, etc.

The new tank was surprisingly well equipped with 3/4 galv nipples, dip tube, screens, and an installed TPR valve. It started with no problems.

I would never recommend this store to anyone. When you are there good luck getting someone to help you, and when they do they are unfriendly. I ordered a shower head system on June 26th and was told it would be in two weeks at the most. It is now July 31st and it still isn't here. I have never been contacted by them to let me know it would be severely delayed. I have called multiple times requesting an ETA and every time they say they'll try to find out and call me back or tell me to call back the next day. Needless to say I never got calls back. I asked to speak with a manager after I was treated rudely for asking why my order was so late and when I could get an ETA. Even after explaining that I have no shower and am having to drive to my relatives to shower every morning the manager weakly apologized and clearly didn't know how to handle customer dissatisfaction. After hanging up on them when I was once again told we'll have to call you back I finally got a call from someone. He also weakly apologized and continued to stuff food in his face and chew his food loudly while talking to me. My suggestion is to go there to look but buy elsewhere.

Hats off to George Morlan Plumbing in Tigard. What a facelift—when we arrived on Feb. 2nd for a toilet tank lid. The best part of the visit was the friendly service we received. Joel is an amazing example of the finest of customer service! He did not give up on finding us the perfect lid from the Boneyard. In fact, we realized he was the person we’d spoken to on the phone. We can’t say enough about him. Asked for the manager, to let him know of our delight, and was led to Victor. They both are out of the same mold! Victor gave us some insights on the changes George Morlan is making for the good; and we definitely experienced it. We are glad to get behind George Morlan and spread the word! If you find you have plumbing needs—remember George Morlan!
