Upon the recommendation of a tech while on a maintenance visit, they sold us a $2k system that would replace the Iron Boss filtration system and take away the clay sediment! They suggested we install the Rain Soft system. THIS DID NOT WORK!!!They took our money and we still have clay in our water. When we called up to speak with management, they offered to install a simple water filtration system where we would have to change out the filter much like before the Rain soft was installed. Basically, going back to a filtration system like the Iron Boss. Be cautious when this company ‘makes suggestions’ to alter your system. They will take your money but if there is a problem, they will not offer an equitable solution, instead they will recommend you spend more money to fix the original issue!!!! Do your research!!!!!!

RainSoft installed by Water Improvement Technology is highly recommended. Having well water produced bad tasting water, unpleasant smell and hard water. After installation, my water is now purer, great tasting and no longer having problems with stained tubs, stained toilets or whites. I now use my own water to make tea, no more buying bottle water.
The service was outstanding, professional, friendly and accommodating. Knowledgeable about the product and installation. Customer service was beyond my expectations and followed up with me to make sure I was happy with the product and if I had any questions or concerns.

Poor Service, dont get into there facade of customer care. There is no customer care, its all greed for pennies. I have installed home unit for 10K and they are asking me to pay $250 just to inspect it. My main filter outside my house was frozen (12/25/2022) and I asked them to inspect to see if unit is working fine. They told me it going to charge 250 to look at it.
My water was very hard every time I wash my hand the water left my hand dry and cracking until Blake installed the water system now when I wash my hand it feels like I have lotion on my hand and my skin don’t itch from the clothes anymore Blake did a very good job installing the Rain Soft water technology and now the water leaves my skin my hand and my clothes very soft and manageable thank you

We recently got a whole house filtration system and RO water system installed. I was a little skeptical at first, but I don’t think I could ever go back now. Our sales rep, Chris, went above and beyond to get us the best deal. The technician, Blake, was there the next day. Not only was he very polite and professional, but his work was immaculate. Our 60 year old house posed a few problems and he did not hesitate to do all he could to ensure the plumbing was perfect. Chris and Blake both checked up on us the next day to ensure the water pressure and quality was perfect. The immediate difference in our skin, clothes, and drinking water was astounding. They are not just selling a product. They care about what they sell, and it has proved itself true. We will definitely be using them for any other water needs we may have. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with a company.

I called upon Water Improvement Technologies to evaluate an issue I had with a leaking tub/shower installation. Danny very quickly diagnosed they rather unusual cause of the leaking, which he found to be coming from two separate sources. He was able to apply a fix on the spot. The place I bought my high end water system went out of business. Hesitantly, I set up a service call with these folks, who bought the customer list. I do not have the impression they are familiar with the products at all. I was told they do not provide interim testing between yearly service which is standard. I carefully explained my work situation, and was assured the tech would call me if running late for my noon appointment. At 12:40 I called and was told oh I had this between one and two by the guy who confirmed my 12pm appointment yesterday. In fact the technician was still in another city, and no one was going to give me notice. This is a perfect example of the very worst customer service. Now I have to try and find someone reliable, and honest to service my very expensive ( to me) water system. Hopefully you can still shop elsewhere before you commit to any type of contract with this company.

I am loving my water treatment system. The install was done in a timely manner and looks great and doesn't take a lot of space. They took the time to explain everything about the system and I already can tell the difference in my house. The water is much cleaner and the RO water tastes much better than all the bottle water I used to buy. I am very happy with the product and the company (customer service) and I would recommend to anyone that asks.

System working great. Can definitely tell the difference in the quality of water. Could do better to accommodate scheduling, especially for a service member who does not have the extra time to get away from work often, but overall technicians are very knowledgeable and ensure your needs are met. Would like to see additional branches open up in Raleigh or Fayetteville to better serve the area.
Great service friendly employees quick work
I trusted the representative that came out and sold me and my wife on a new Rain Soft water softening system. The rep came out the NEXT day (I should have known then) while we were not at home and replaced the system. He called me for payment and said everything is working great, you're all set. 4,600 dollars total. My wife and I came home and immediately noticed very low water pressure. I told the representative immediately and he said that's weird it was working fine. I'll call the office and get back to you. Never heard back. He also asked me to get in the crawlspace myself and bypass the system which is ridiculous. I just had knee surgery and can't get in the crawlspace. I told him I just spent all this money and you're not coming out here yourself immediately? Nothing. We can't take a shower. We had to bath my daughter in 1 inch of water in the tub and deer park water bottles. Woke up this morning and we have zero water pressure with no response from rep or company. Not to mention he left all the old parts and tanks sitting in the crawlspace (pictures below) instead of taking those with him. Took my money and ran. I will be disputing this charge with the credit card company when they open on Monday. A water company that doesn't rush out to fix something they obviously broke? We can't wash clothes, take a shower, make breakfast, all of it. Completely ridiculous. Only looking out for their profits and not their reputation. I am a small business owner and it drives me absolutely bonkers when someone leaves a bad review that is unwarranted. I'm the business owner that hypes up other great companies on google and facebook when those companies deliver on their promise. This one did not. Not to mention I didn't receive any paperwork from the actual company about their warranty. Didn't even get a paid invoice when they ran the credit card. It's my fault because it was a handshake deal and I trusted the wrong person and company. Awful experience.

Michael came to install a backwater valve after an incident in my home. He is very knowledgeable and took his time to explain in detail, every step of the instalation. I also felt comfortable asking him questions. He was very careful and clean with his work. He even removed one of my plants from the root that was in the way of the pipe he needed to work on, then replanted it back when he was done! I was a customer of CFW before they went out of business, I had tried to call them to change my contact information. I got no response. Water improvement technologies didn't reach out to me when they bought the customer list. I had to reach out to my finance company to get their number. One good thing is Spencer allowed me to split my payment in half, but I noticed a double pending charge on my bank account. Does anyone know whom to contact about cfw going out of business without telling their customers, and leaving everyone to still pay for the water systems?

I had a great experience with WIT. The technician Wilson made sure to walk me through everything he was doing and gave great information.
Absolutely awful business. I have worked with all sorts of different companies that will come in, charge a tech fee, and a few for parts and whatever other services provided. But, if those parts dont work, or if the problem wasn't solved, those companies would send someone out to fix the issue without charging you for the tech when it was something they missed/messed up. This company charges you $250 to diagnose the problem, then will charge you AGAIN to come fix it, plus the cost of materials. At this point ive paid almost the same amount as i did to have it installed.

Water Improvement Technologies took over the service for Carolina Water. They called me and set up an appointment to do a annual service on our Water Right Sanitizer water system. That was a joke. The technician came out to the house yesterday, sat in the van for 15 minutes, came in the house with no tools, looked over the machine and increased our rinse time and said that would fix our issues, at a cost of $245. It didn’t. I contacted the company today, and told them that the problem was still there and what fixed our issue before and they told me that since I knew what was wrong that maybe I should fix it myself. That was a waste of hard earned money and time. I don’t foresee me doing any business with them ever again. They want to bill every time they come out which is approximately $205 each trip. Very poor customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. I wish there was a zero star!!

This place is a major ripoff! Buyer beware! Whatever problem you have is twisted into trying to get you to buy something that is not needed to fix your problem. My water system is guaranteed forever. Was told I needed new system or would have to pay for a part. This is what was told to me by Matt & Jared. Should not be paying for parts or need new system. After paying $275 for a “service call” —problem still existed. If you don’t need to or don’t want to purchase a new system or expensive parts then they don’t want to have anything to do with you. When you call them out on it they fail to return phone calls &/or hang up on you. Can see paying for a service call but not the parts for a guaranteed system.

This company is a joke. They'll ring you for every dollar they can. They called me and said they needed to do a 1 year maintenance check on my system, scheduled the appointment for the next day. The technician came in did a water test and changed 2 filters on my RO system. Then manually started a regen on the rain soft tank. Let it run a couple minutes and shut it off. Then proceeded to tell me I had to pay a $380 fee. He didn't even spend more than 15 minutes in my home.
The guy they had install the softener broke it. They kept sending him to repair it but he never did. My wife caught him pulling a test out of his pocket that said I had soft water. I had a third party test my water several times. All of which showed hard water. So I sent the results to the company. Nothing was done. I was contacted by management who claimed they would resolve the situation but then they went silent for weeks. They used Aqua Finance for the financing and are refusing to discuss the issue with them. So for months I’ve had this defective equipment in my home, debt going up, credit score going down, and WIT refuses to resolve the issue. I was also told I would receive a Home Depot gift card just for letting them test my water. Never got it. I spoke to Home Depot and as it turns out, they have no affiliation at all. Home Depot informed me these guys are not a vender or someone they have any affiliation with at all. Steer clear of these folks until they get trustworthy management and competent service technicians.
Richard was on time, knowledgeable, professional and while I hope to not need any further service, if I do, I want him back to take care of my system. Thank you Richard!

During our annual maintenance and filter change the technician put a huge hole in our wall (the size of soft ball) trying to take off the filter housing. After telling me that the bracket was installed wrong (by them) and 3 + hrs of waiting for them to figure out what to do, their solution was put a board over it. They offered to repair it the next day but I repaired it that night...something that would have taken them hrs to do and cost me another day or two of work. They had to take the filter to the shop and repair it and planned a return the next day....2 more hrs. I told them the least they could do was make the maintenance call free this time. They would not do that. I am now out a day and half of work. I had to repair the wall myself....and they charged me $370 for the hole they left in my wall and the headache of the whole situation. DO NOT USE THEM. FIND ANYONE ELSE BUT WATER IMPROVEMENT TECH!!! There are other companies out there! They are not only cheaper but honest and dependable and who will do the right thing for the customer. One year later they called and wanted to set up service again. They still will not take responsibility or offer me anything. Their answer...there is nothing we can do.

They have lost us as a customer. Our RO system made a prolonged vibrating/draining noise. We called the company and they sent out a technician to take a look at it for $200 a visit which is fine since it was a noise we've NEVER had with our 5 year system and they were forthcoming with the price of the visit. The guy we spoke to on the phone (Matt) said it wasn't normal for that noise to occur for 40 minutes. The technician came and said that he read the report and that the noise was normal. He didn't look under the sink, he didn't open the sink cabinet, he didn't even turn on the faucet to run the water. I asked him multiple questions including the 40 minute noise time which Matt on the phone seemed concerned about, but the technician said that refilling the tank could take up to 2 hours so the noise was normal. We explained to him that when the noise occurred, the tank was full. He dismissed it. My husband asked him to run diagnostics while he was here but he said that because we had turned off the tank and turned it back on and the noise went away that that in itself was diagnostic.
The tech was obviously NOT going to be inspecting the unit at this visit so we paid the $200 for the visit, I signed the credit card payment and the section saying that he came out to visit (what the tech told me I was signing). I called the company after he left to complain about the lack of diagnostic work and was met with we have the documentation that you signed that said that he checked out the whole system and I read all his notes on his inspection of your system- that he checked the lines, and the auto shut off valve and everything was normal. Total lies. He wasn't even within 3 feet of the sink. My question is if this was all normal then couldn't the company have told us this over the phone when we called, especially if the diagnostic was to shut off the system and turn it back on?
I appreciate that they back up their employees but Matt just hid behind the line well we have your signature on the tech's notes- so basically saying that we have no footing to file any complaints.
If anyone goes with this company, I suggest you video record the entire service so that you have physical documentation on the work that was or wasn't done. We will be looking for another company to service our water filter system since our warranty has expired anyway.
I've never had such horrible customer service and lying on a service report.

I would only recommend using this company if you want to be lied to and cheated out of your time and money. This is hands down the worst experience I have ever had with a company. The consultation was long and tedious and my consultant really didn't seem like he knew what was going on. He made promises that the financial company and the installer were not award of and could not follow through with. I was told I would have 0% interest for a year only to find out after installation that I had a 10% interest rate. This could add thousands of dollars onto my price. There is little to no communication between any one at the company and as a result a half day install took close to 10 hrs. Everyone seems friendly and helpful but there is no follow through or actual help from anyone. Every time I was told someone would get back to me or send more information, I got nothing. Save your time and money and use a different company.

I got harassed with multiple phone calls to make sure I would be home for my testing appointment and then their employee rolls up 15 minutes late and makes no apology. I took off work for that and informed the tester that my wife was working so he said he couldn't complete the task unless we were both present. Complete waste of time. I can definitely see why their reviews are so bad. Stay away!

This company is a joke. Wish I would’ve read reviews before deciding to buy from them. The salesman promised a great offer on soaps and detergents as part of the purchase deal. A year later and after checking in with them over three different times we still have not received the promised merchandise. Today at our first annual service check come to find out the softener system had never been working. The technician didn’t seem to know what he was doing and did some type of quick fix. Their way of testing the water in front if you is sketchy. Stay away from Water Improvement Technologies! They are a ripe off. Their services are completely untrustworthy, customer service and work ethic is all a joke.

I have the opportunity to arrange the visit into my house with Nate (easy and cordial), then our sales representative came, Chris, and he was funny and sharp (had coffee together conversing on the decision). Blake and Anthony came to install and review the system and when a hiccup arise, finally Mike came twice to finish the job in an outstanding manner. Great service and Knowledgeable technician.
I had immediate results. I could feel the difference on my skin, my dishes have no spots, and I'm using very little detergent and shampoo. Mike, the system installer, gave extra attention to details like pipes being straight, parts being connected correctly, removing boxes and other unwanted material off the property. He installed the system the next day. The advertiser, Mike, spent hours with us answering all of our questions and explaining the system in detailed. I was skeptical but now I'm impressed with the system and excellent service.
