From the almost instant response to my email request to help to the installation R & S demonstrated fantastic service and concern to the customer. As we recently relocated from out of state we needed to investigate the on line reviews from the various sources. All were five star and our experience was nothing less. Scott was great dealing with all the issues of spacing, ventilation electrical, etc. He allowed me to ask questions and properly explained all the options and reasons for each. We have had really poor water quality since we bought, and moved into, our house in south Wake County, just outside of Fuquay-Varina. A couple of plumbing companies made improvements to our well, but none eliminated the water bad odor and taste from the water coming from our private drilled well. After some serious research we settled on a whole
house filter system from Aquasana. Rather than using any of the plumbing companies who tried to help us earlier, we put as much time and effort into locating a plumber to install the Aquasana system that we'd purchased and had delivered to our house. We settled on Rooter & Sons. We chose wisely. I called their office on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, and the lady I spoke with couldn't have been nicer. She was able to schedule a technician for an assessment and estimate that following Thursday morning. John G came to our house early Thursday morning, listened to our frustration with the water quality, looked over the items in the 5 boxes we'd received and called back to the office for help with the estimated cost. He returned with what appeared to be a very reasonable price to install the system, and better yet, they'd cleared his workload for the remainder of the day, so he went right to work. We decided to install it against a wall in the garage. Rooter & Sons provided John with a box truck that had everything he'd need. Like the office lady we started with, John could not have been nicer. The few times we checked in on John, he had the very neat installation moving right along. In spite of this being a first-time product installation, at the end of the day he was so close to completion that he stayed on and finished up the job. The final cost was exactly what he initially quoted. Now, almost a week later, our water is great, and we have nothing but praise for John G and Rooter & Sons Plumbing.

Overall were helpful in replacing a pump outside quickly. Very high priced though. Charged about $300-$500 an hour for labor, and did work with me a little on price when realizing the size of the project. They also forgot to check and let me know the level of my sewage tank to know if it needs to be pumped soon, as we discussed.

I was both worried and grateful that they were able to come out within an hour of my call. Worried, because you sometimes wonder if a business in our area is not so busy but grateful because the problem needed to be addressed quickly. I couldn't have been more pleased. I have used Rooter and Sons twice for emergency leaks and have been very satisfied with their responsiveness and professionalism. The second emergency was this past Monday. The woman answering the phone was very nice and dispatched someone immediately and it was already 4pm. Scott arrived and replaced a cracked pipe at my water meter. He worked hard and did a great job! The only concern was I felt like the charge was excessive, but I was without water and needed help. My bill was not itemized, so I don't know what was costing so much, but that wasn't on Scott. He did a great job.

I submitted the online form and got a call from Chad within minutes. He was great! He gave me a very accurate quote over the phone and that is what I ended up paying. I really appreciate honest estimates! He also made a recommendation that was even better than my idea!

When I decided to go forward with the project, they got to it quickly. John did the work. He was friendly, professional, did neat work and made sure it was perfect before he left. I used Rooter and Sons for the first time little over a year ago. My son had justed moved into his first house. He had some flooring work done in his bathrooms and upon completion he was informed they did not reset toilets. In a panic we called several plumbers, of all the plumbers Rooter and Sons are the only one that felt our panic and came out immediately. Chads work was excellent. A year later I needed some plumbing work at my house a year , and got the same responsive treatment and quality. I highly recommend Rooter and Sons.

It's the second time we used Rooter & Son, of course due to the good experience we had the first time a couple of years ago when we needed someone to repair a leaking water pipe in the master bedroom in our house.

This time we needed someone to check on all plumbing issues on a rental property. We scheduled an 8 AM appointment and a gentleman knocked on the door on time. We were very happy to see that it's the same plumber who fixed our home two years ago, and his name is Scott. 😊

We walked through all the kitchen and bathrooms with Scott and he checked every faucet, shower, and under sink pipes. Along the way he explained to us which issues needed to be addressed right away and which were not as concerning. He sure did let us know what issues he had concern if we did not fix them immediately. He was not pushy at all but gave us his professional opinion and the quotes and let us choose.

There were quite some items we needed to fix and Scott spent the entire day on our property to take care of everything. We couldn't stay in the property to wait so we gave him the lockbox code to lock the door when he was done. In the evening, he sent me the pictures of before and after, and we spoke on the phone to discuss the repair work done. The next day I went back to the property, it was all cleaned up like he wasn't there before.

He needed to make a second trip for an additional issue that I found later. This time I felt very comfortable to just let him go and do the job without me being there. Again, he got the job done and when I went back the next day, I could hardly tell he was there because he cleaned up afterward.

Scott is knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. My cousin had used Rooter & Son before and they were also happy with their service. My sewage pipe from house to street was completely clogged with roots. Clearing the pipe proved impossible, as it was to damaged, and terra cotta!
So, no choice but to replace the entire line.
A whole team, was at my house the next day, and had the line replaced in no time.
The sewage line was still clogged, but on Town of Cary side!!!
Rooter and Sons took care of everthing!!! Called the town, and they replaced line on their early the next day!!!
Rooter and Sons does everything possible to reslove any plumbing issue you might have!!!

The work procedure was well explained before work began. The work was very methodical and as explained. There was no mess other than spilled water when the plumbing line was opened. That was to be expected and we prepared for that. Overall, it was satisfying experience.

Found out our gas water heater died at 8pm one night, called them first thing in the morning and they had someone at my house by 9am to deliver a quote and were able to do same day install. Very courteous and professional as well as fairly priced, will definitely call again with any plumbing issues.

Scott Ferran was my technician and he came out to give an estimate on ball valve installs and replacing whole home PB. He was extremely knowledgable and educated me on the home we just moved into. He was able to save me a lot of money by suggesting a DIY fix. Top notch service! Emailed for a quote over the weekend (old heater was functional but.. old, and failure would spell water damage cascading down from the attic) and had a technician out Monday afternoon, got on the schedule and all work was completed the next day! Technician John notified me when he was en route, the job was tricky but completed well within the anticipated timeframe and at the agreed upon price (which was very competitive/less than another quote received!) I cannot recommend Rooter & Sons enough and they will be my first/last/only call for service moving forward!

I went through numerous plumbers who couldn't solve my problem and Eric was able to immediately. Two other plumbers suggested completely different options totaling $10k-$15k, while Eric's solution cost a fraction of that. Highly suggested.

If it were a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, I'd give them (Johnny the Tech) an 11! The work can only be perfect at best, awarding a 10. However the professionalism and courtesy accompanied by the superb quality workmanship must put the grade over the top.

I would highly recommend this company. Incidentally, this was my first experience with them They advertised emergency service available on their website, and they came through, on the weekend.

A commode's water fill valve went out completely, continuously filling the tank at full volume so I used the water cutoff to turn on the water to flush and turn it off afterwards. Well, that broke too. The water would not cut off period. So I had to turn the water main off to the house and I was without water. The next morning I did a Google search for plumbers in Cary and after researching several companies' reviews I found that Rooter & Sons are highly rated and had many happy customers. There was even a $50 off coupon for any repair on their website. At 8a I gave them a call. By 11a their technician Eric was at my house. He gave me an estimate which I was OK with and he proceeded to repair my toilet. He was also able to replace two other water cutoffs that were old and needed replacing. I am very please with his work, with their prices, the promptness of coming on time, and the friendly service they gave me.

Bottom line, I have found a great company that I will call on again when I need any plumbing work done. I would recommend this company to my friends and family. I would also recommend Rooter & Sons to anyone needing a reliable plumber that does excellent work and offers fast, friendly service.

The plumber was very dedicated to his work and did a very professional job. He ran into a few unforseen issues but was able to address them. I will definitely consider using them in the future.

My wife called me and informed me the water heater was leaking. 20 minutes later Scott was on site and soon after everything was back to as if we never called them. You couldn't tell work had been done, besides the new water heater and hookups because Scott was so detail oriented and did the job thoroughly and even cleaned up after himself. Today is the last day before a 3 day labor day weekend so my family could have been without hot water for over a few days. I would definitely recommend Scott and this company any day.

I did notice one thing though. My wife had them use the back door so she could keep our daughter and pets out of the way. I just went out the back door and noticed that the door handle was dented pretty deep. So I'll have to replace the door handle but that's it.

Rooter & Sons Plumbing replaced the main water line to the house from the street. It was a difficult job, with 40 year old trees and their roots. I am also a gardener and sensitive about my native plants. The crew did the best they could to disturb the yard as little as possible, using mostly a trench-less installation. We could not be more pleased with our experience with Rooter and Sons Plumbing! Our hot water heater ruptured in the early hours of Saturday morning and the safety valve failed to cut off the water. Fortunately, our hot water heater is located under the house and we were able to cut off the water to the house via the main water line. Contacted Rooter and Sons via email and Chad (the owner) called us within minutes! Our hot water tank broke on a Friday evening. Rooter & Sons at 8am Saturday morning and by 9:30 John was out to assess the situation, and by 2:30 that afternoon (as promised) we had a new tank and hot water again! The first 24 hour plumber I called indicated they would not be able to obtain a direct vent system until Monday. Although Rooter & Sons indicated it could be a challenge they were able source a new unit.

Scott was AMAZING today. I called yesterday afternoon with a non-emergency expecting to leave a message and wait a few days. Instead I got nice, knowledgeable person on the line and Scott was here the next morning. He was able to solve our problem the most cost-efficient way and presented multiple options to us. Scott communicated very well and taught us a lot about plumbing, too. Had we chosen another company, there might be a hole in our kitchen ceiling and a drywall job to be done, but Scott made the repair through a hole in the wall in an adjoining room which we can easily cover with a inexpensive access panel (in stock at home depot for around $15).

I initially thought that there was going to be a valve replacement. After Eric's assessment he said that he could replace it but the hot water heater is old, 13years at that. He advised us to replace it, he was not pushy. He was very blunt about the repair. We went ahead and replaced it. He called his coworker to see if he had one in stock. He came by, hauled the old one way and replaced it with a new one. This was done in alot less time than expected.

I called Rooter and Sons to get an estimate for replacing an electric water heater. Scott came out the next morning to have a look. He assessed the previous water heater as well as the installation, answered all of my questions, explained how he would install the new unit and what changes he would make from the original installation, and provided me with an estimate that seemed reasonable to me. Upon giving Scott my approval, he had the water heater replaced with a few hours of arriving. This was about the easiest, straight forward service call that I have made. I am extremely satisfied with the entire process.

We had a leak in our service line, last week, that was causing hundreds of gallons of water to slowly leak into our crawlspace. We shut off our water and put in a request for appointment. We received a phone call immediately. An inspection was then set up for first thing, the next morning. Johnny was who came out. He was very knowledgeable, genuine, and professional. He explained everything to us and gave us a couple options to work with for our issue. We appreciated the care he took to get the ball rolling very quickly. They called out the City to get the proper markings to dig within the same day. And only 2 days later they had the work scheduled to replace the old piping in front of the home. Their dispatcher, Tracey, kept me in the loop with when they would arrive. She was so very sweet. Chris, Chris, and Chad were most delightful. We made it very clear to do everything they could to not kill my favorite tree in the front of our house, and they took great care in our request. Even though the tree was directly in the way of where they needed to dig. We are over the moon with the service provided for us! We will be sure to recommend to others who are looking for a good, honest plumber. As new homeowners, it can be hard to find this kind of service from some companies.

On that occasion I called late on a Sunday and they were at my home by 7:30AM Monday morning. Scott diagnosed my issue, gave me an estimate and had a new water heater installed and working by 1:00PM. He was professional, meticulous and left everything cleaned-up before leaving.
This time when I called to have a new water connection made, Chad, the owner, was at my house within 2 hours. Once again, an estimate was provided before performing any work, and the work completed within the hour. We had a water leak from the city line to our house. We had another company find the leak which was a complete waste of time. We were given 2 prices, one to repair and one to replace the line. Both were extremely fair. We decided to do a repair only to find out the line was so old (and patched so many times) the most effective fix was to do full line replacement. There was no pressure - it just made sense! The company gaurentees their work for 3 years and they were great communicators and informative at every step of the way.

Rooter and Sons had an appointment available in short notice, which saved me from my panic. Their dispatcher could not give pricing over the phone, but they were available to come out quickly enough so it started with an element of faith. They sent email and text reminder for the appointment and a technician tracker when he was on the way, so their organization and communication is pretty strong.

The provider, Eric Murphy arrived on-time, literally at the beginning of the arrival window, if not a few minutes early. He was super nice, answered questions and gave me a few pointers to take care of my plumbing fixtures.

Pricing was okay. They price by the job, and not by the hour. It was slightly more than I had expected, but not way out of bounds. We had talked about everything before starting work, so nothing was a surprise. I had called alot of plumbers earlier for quotes, and they were comparable. If everything works out the with no issues / surprises / leaks, which I think it will, then its well worth it. Whats an extra $25-50 when all you want is to not have to replace your kitchen floor from some silly leak. (like I am literally doing right now) I've saved them in my phone, I would use them again, and I'd recommend them to my neighbors.

After a bad experience with another local plumber, Scott at Rooter and Sons provided the opposite. Showed up on time. Let me explain what was going on, walked me through the diagnostic, and provided several options to choose from with pros and cons of each. Great experience again with Rooter & Sons. This is probably the 4th time I’ve used them in a year. This time it was a clogged pipe from my washing machine drain and on Labor Day! Very responsive to text on Holiday Weekend and they scheduled me for the next day! Couldn’t be happier with their great service.

I could not be happier than Rooter and Sons Plumbing! Our hot water heater was leaking into our closet, ruining the carpet and potentially the sub floor. We were not able to use hot water. We had placed a service order with one company but they were not able to come out until five days later and they were going to charge $950. I found Rooter and Sons on Angie's List, requested a quote, and Chad called me right away. They were able to send someone out the very next morning at 8am. Not only did they replace the hot water line but they also replaced our cold water line and the total cost for both was quite a bit less than $950 and the technician, Scott, was so professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We had a terribly corroded and leaking garbage disposal. Initial diagnostic visit was great- on time and a good estimate was provided. They managed to get the disposal (which was an unusual one because we have a septic tank) more quickly than anticipated and rather than it taking 2.5 weeks to get and repair, it took less than a week! I woke up on Saturday to a clogged main line and needed it cleared asap. I gave Rooter & Sons a call around 9AM and spoke with Chad who said he could have someone out by lunch or earlier. Eric arrived on time, and quickly located a blocked sewer drain line, then cleared it. He also ran a camera through to identify a root problem with the line. He was quick, clear in explaining the problems and what he discovered. He also asked me to watch the screen as he scoped the line to see the damage for myself from a root that had penetrated the line. He determined where the root was so we could mark the surface. The price was reasonable, and as quoted before doing any repair work. Great job!

Two months earlier, we had another company come in (Streamline), and they spent more time under my house (for a tub spout), telling me to pay $12,000 for all new copper piping, before charging me $200 to take off an adapter and sending me a picture of a spout I could put on myself. We have massive water leak on the ceiling and don't know where it started. Scott Ferran came out afternoon and found out the problem and repaired in time so we can use the water tonight, and I strongly recommend him for the plumbing repair job. Our problem happened on the weekend and we waited on Monday to call Rooter and Sons for emergency and need someone to come out and fix the problem for us. They were very concerned and responsive to my problem and send technician to solve our water leak from the ceiling. We thought it could be the massive job that may take long time to figure out and repair, but he did great job to find out and fixed for us right away. I decided to attempt to fix a leaky toilet on Veterans Day and ended up realizing that I had to replace the entire shut off valve and didn't have the necessary tools. I called for a pressure regulator valve issue. It was not an emergency but considering I had sod installed I wanted my pressure issue looked at. I got an appointment the same day. Scott arrived on-time, was quite personable and performed a replacement of the valve. I have plumbing experience and the work he performed was a very clean job. Additionally he took the time to be sure the pressure is where I needed it to be and what he was comfortable setting the house to. They inspected the drain line with a mini camera on a cable and let me watch. The problem turned out to be a full septic tank. They were fast, thorough, and professional.

Used Scott to repair/replace multiple toilets. Expensive but good work. Got estimate for kitchen and bathroom remodel and owner Chad sent Eric who raised the estimate 40%. Big issue is that Rooter & Sons does not support having their plumbers Vaccinated for Covid! Eric said Vaccines don’t work when I asked he wear a mask. Chad the owner doesn’t require or INFORM his clients he could be putting YOUR family at Risk !!!!

I recently had a leak with a water line running under my house and up through the concrete floor. Their response to a request for a quote was very prompt and the quote was very reasonable. Upon calling to schedule, I asked how much the service would be and was told he would evaluate and quote on site. Never was I told there is a $1000 minimum. Once that was quoted, I agreed to do the full $1400 service since, what is another $400? However, the tech must have misunderstood and only did one gutter downspout. When finished, I asked if the other downspouts were clogged and he said he just did the one. He said, that was his understanding and I had only signed for the $1000 service. I said, well, I signed what you gave me and there was no visible amount when I signed the ipad in the sunlight. I was frustrated to pay so much to have 1 gutter downspout cleaned when I could have had them all done for $400 more. Clearly, he was already packed and ready to go so there was zero effort to complete the service. In the future, I will call another company.

I contacted Rooter & Sons on Saturday (11/26) via their website about getting our water heater repaired or replaced. Rooter & Sons reached out to me within 10 minutes to schedule our appointment. They offered to get someone out same day or Sunday but do charge a $150 service fee. However, they said, if we can wait until Monday (11/28) we would be their first service call of the day and the $150 service fee for the visit and diagnosis would be waved. Note, that the $150 service fee would be applied to work IF you get work done on the weekends (same day as the service). As this wasn't an emergency we made the appointment for Monday between 8-9am.

Monday (11/28) Scott Ferran showed up early to the appointment witch was awesome! After reading the notes that I provided via their web site, and looking at the system, he presented two options. Option one was to repair the system that would provide another year maybe two to a 10 year old water heater, or option two, a total replacement. Scott is super easy to talk to, like he was a family member or a close friend. Scott explained everything in a way that helps the customer learn and understand how everything works. He really gave us a better understanding of everything so we could make the best decision. We went with option two to replace the water heater.

Scott, had the old system removed, and the new one installed and working in a couple of hours, the same day as the appointment. In the past when we dealt with big name companies, we had appointments for service, only to find out we would have to wait another few days because they would need to order parts. NOT Rooter & Sons!

Moving forward, we will ONLY be contacting Rooter & Sons for all of our plumbing needs. If you're looking for a great company with great customer service and FAST (same day) turnaround times, look no further than Rooter & Sons. Our experience from the get go has been outstanding, can't say enough good about Scott Ferran and Rooter & Sons. 100% recommend.

Called owner, Chad, about 10:00 AM, set up free inspection for estimate for 12:30-1:00 the same afternoon. Eric called to say he was on his way at 12:45. Eric was very pleasant, professional and easy to communicate with. Spent a great deal of time assessing my problems and gave me a fair estimates for each of the two jobs needed. He even took out the caulking around the toilet to see if there was a leak, with no charges for the inspection/estimate, just as promised. Will definitely use them to do the work. Great experience!

First and foremost they are Very authentic, down to earth ,honest, hardworking and very professional. In today's society it's very tough to find all of those attributes within a company. Therefore I HIGHLY recommend them for any of your plumbing needs. The Owner Chad is a force to be recognized. After calling several of my normal plumbing companies and getting the run around about how long my issue would take to repair due to locating the leak etc( literally weeks) and UNBELIEVABLE estimates and damage to my yard...I decided to call Rooter & Sons. So glad that I did. I spoke to Chad , he immediately said no worries he could come the same day and that he had the tools that was needed to locate and repair the leak without destroying my yard. They not only completed the job within hours but you couldn't tell they had come and did so much work in a few hours. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Wish I could post a picture of even Chad (owner) nearly 6 foot deep in a hand shoveled hole close to my foundation but I cant. Needless to say I'm 100% satisfied with the quality of the work and how reasonable it was. Literally THOUSANDS of dollars less than 2 other VERY well known companies . Always a pleasure to have Eric here. Flushed out my Tankless Water heater and helped me with a couple of small, but annoying problems I had with toilets. I also asked him to check my PRV valve which was installed 2 years ago, and found that it was not working properly. Suggested I go back to ask the company who installed it to replace it, instead of just telling me it was out of warranty and charging me for more service.
