Paul was great to work with. I had many items from an inspection report that needed fixed. He came over and provided an estimate the same day, and then came out to do the work a few days later. He was very knowledgable, the price was very fair, and the quality of work was excellent. I am very happy Paul was able to help me with my repair needs. I called several people before Paul, and none delivered near the same type of service Paul did. I will definitely use him again!

This good review is truly well-deserved. I found your website through a simple web search and a prayer as I have been having other unfavorable experiences with other home repair services in Charlotte. I currently live in Georgia, so it is a challenge to find reliable people at a distance.
I called Paul Kerr and he and his team were at my place the next day beginning the repairs. They found lots of water damage but were honest about what it would take to fix it. More importantly, they did so in a very fast , efficient, and professional manner. I received photographs of every step and this was reassuring.

Brian was absolutely wonderful!!! He took care of all my repairs and worked very, very hard to make sure everything was to my liking. I could tell immediately that Brian takes pride in his work and enjoys what he does. He is so nice and very easy to talk to. He walked around with me as I showed him everything I needed fixed and he performed a thorough diagnostic on each repair. He went to the store and got any additional supplies needed to finish the job and returned promptly. What he did in one day would have taken me weeks and probably months to finish. He is very knowledgeable in repairs and installations and I'm amazed how one person can fix just about anything in a house!! I am very pleased with the finished product and would definitely recommend Call 1 Home Repairs and especially Brian to anybody needing repairs, installations, and just an expert opinion on anything related to fixing up their home.

On September 4th, Call 1 performed several repairs to the exterior of our home. The cost was very reasonable and Paul was able to schedule the work to meet our schedule. He arrived exactly as promised and completed all of the work the same day. The quality of his work is outstanding and without hesitation, I would highly recommend Call 1 for a variety of home repairs. It is very difficult in this day and time to find someone you can trust that performs this type of work for a fair price and high quality. We will certainly call on him for future projects.

This week, I hired Call 1 Home Repair to install inside door opening casings and window casings for a 2,500+ sq ft. house and to transform a room into a home gym. Paul and team not only went above and beyond with the quality of their work, but made recommendations based on their experience doing this type of work that I had not even thought of. Not only did they beat the estimated timeline provided, but they were able to deliver a finished product that exceeded my expectations. The team communicated concerns and issues along the way and I was always kept up to date on what was being done. The total cost was well worth it and came in line within the estimates provided at the inception of the project.
I will hire this company in a heart beat again as a first choice for ANYTHING else I would like to have work done on at home.

Had a truck crash into my house/garage. Paul was available on very short notice, came out and stabilized the structure within a few hours, and he and Nathan returned the following day and repaired everything back to new again. Excellent workmanship, and not an easy job considering they didn’t know where stuff was to begin with. Price was far less that the insurance estimate, they cleaned up very well before they left, and all I had to do was a little painting. They made what could have been a very stressful situation very much less so.

Five star rating. Paul is very professional, trustworthy, and skilled. He communicated the work and pricing very well, and schedule the work window with my tenant. He arrived when he said he would, and completed the work when he said he would. One can't do this unless one is very good, and he is.
We all hope to find that trustworthy fix-it guy, and you just have.

Paul and Brian came to our home and appraised the fan and lighting installation we needed, gave us a quote and a time for next week to do the work. Today 5/15/2014 they called and let us know that if our schedule allowed it that they could do the work today. When they showed up they were prompt, professional, personable, and friendly. The work was done in a timely manner, with a smile on their faces, the pricing was reasonable, and they gave an all around great experience. People like Paul and Brian are the reason me and my family will be making Call 1 Home Services the first call on our list to have any improvements that need to be done. these guys are the types of people in my opinion that keep customers loyal to the company.

Construction on a new home usually has relatively few pitfalls, but when it's a home that was built in the 1960s, updating it is a whole nother thing. Luckily, when we decided to update two baths we contacted Paul at Call 1 Home Repair to do the work. He listened carefully to our plans, presented us with his opinions and options on the work and provided updates throughout the process. He was professional and competent, and he helped us find better solutions when the original plan did not work out. Excellent work and everything was cleaned up after the job was done.

Call 1 Home Repair did a stellar job at my house. Brian showed up promptly and worked efficiently the entire time he was here. I had five jobs ranging from carpentry to cabinet repair, and he managed each project well. He also invited my input while completing the jobs, which I appreciated. The initial estimate took thirty minutes and a few days later Call 1 Home Repair had completed the work. I will call this company again for future jobs, and I will request Brian.

I can highly recommend Call 1 Home Repair. We called them to investigate a water damage issue that was coming from inside our kitchen wall. Paul came out very quickly and he talked us through what he was seeing. He gave us a very fair and comprehensive estimate. He even said he could get it done that week. Not only did he and his team find and repair the damage, he took the extra step to prevent it from happening again. He texted me pictures of what he was doing with updates on their progress. He is very thorough and I plan on using him in the future. If you need a general contractor, you don't need to look any further than Call 1 Home Repair.

Over the past ten years I have called on Paul several times for various construction jobs. He did all the outside finish work on my garage, he also replaced a couple of doors for me. One of the doors he installed was for a non-standard opening and some how he found a way to make it work. I have always found Paul's work to be professional grade at a reasonable price. I will use Call 1 Home Repair for future projects.

Paul and Mike came to my home to repair a list of things that needed to be done. I recently sold the home and the new buyer, and the buyer wanted everything fixed....Call 1 Home Repair to the rescue!

Paul got back to me the same day I inquired about getting these things done, and was honest and forthcoming about every issue I had. He came out the next day and got me all squared away. It's hard to find a quality contractor these days (believe me, I tried), so I will be using these guys from now on.

Both Paul and Jason have provided repair services and it has always been excellent. Paul asked me a lot of questions about a potential bird nest in my dryer vent and he told me it could be yeah big, I said no it was just a little one. He was so correct. Great advice as he took ca of other items. Would recommend any time.

My issue was stemming from a root cause that I was unable to identify.
Paul accepted my appointment was able to diagnose the issue within the hour and my problem was fixed the same afternoon. In short, it was a water leak.
I have lived in Charlotte area for 15 years, and never found service like this. Normally I can't even get a call back!
The price was more than fair. It was quoted before any piece of work was done and I appreciated the professionalism.
Paul explained thoroughly to me the cause of the problem along with the fix.
I will definitely use them again.

Today, 1/15/2014, Brian did a great job with the minor repairs we needed. From reattaching a door frame, reattaching trim, to changing lights that we can't reach on a normal size ladder. We actually had a toilet that had just broken the night before, and he ran out to get the part we needed and fixed it on the spot. He talked us through things to make sure we understood the issue and what he was going to do. Everything was done in a professional and timely manner. He left everything in order. Very disappointed with this company's overall performance. I hired them to take care of a home inspection report for the sale of my home. They estimated $1535 for two days work, worked only one day, and still charged me $1535. Several of the items that were estimated to be replaced, upon inspection, required a less than five minute repair or no repair at all. Nonetheless, I was charged the same. Although they were prompt and courteous, I feel like I paid dearly for that. By my calculation, I paid about $100 an hour for their labor, which I think is outrageous.

A re-inspection of their repairs showed that the repairs were not satisfactory. I had to pay another company $550 to complete the work in time to close on the sale.

Also, I did not like the fact that they offered a $25 discount if the customer would write a review on their website. They actually got on the computer with me before they left to start the review. It felt very much like their 5 Star Rating was being purchased.

I would NOT recommend this company.

Had a great experience with Brian! He knew exactly how to fix everything in my condo from plumbing to electrical to a broken window spring. He was on time, personable, and worked quickly and efficiently. I'll be using Call 1 again!

Mike and Paul were fast in doing my repairs and was very satisfied with the work I had completed to my home. After all work was done and they were paid 1 day later Paul (owner) texted me and stated all the possible repairs were not needed and sent money back to me. This showed me they are men of integrity and honesty which are priceless to me. Thanks again guys

Two men tried and failed: my light fixture in my bath kept falling off the wall. I contacted four handy-men and no one answered their phone EXCEPT this man: Paul! He calmed me when I was at my wits end. Brian came the next evening and not only did he fixed and stabilize the light fixture, but he completed an additional job with a light fixture to my guest bathroom. Call 1 Home Services is great. We have used them for years for repairs on our 40+ year old home. Most recently they repaired some major water and termite damage to an area just beneath our roof. You could see from the outside into the attic. They repaired the damage beautifully, and identified other issues. Paul and Brian also repaired a dryer vent under the house. They are courteous, friendly and professional, clearly explaining everything as they went along. I highly recommend them.

It took a while to get them to come out, but once they got to my house they were able to easily identify and fix the problems with my house.

I had an issue with exterior outlets not working, light bulbs blowing and moisture coming in around exterior doors and they fixed all three in three hours!

Great workers, just need to get on their schedule ASAP!

Outstanding customer service and great work. Water leak on a Sunday afternoon is not an ideal time to find help, but this business responded immediately and did a great job. I highly recommend this business for any repair work needed. Paul is amazing!

One time when we had water damage in our shower Paul had to remove the siding on the house to get to the problem. When he put it back you couldn't tell it had been moved. He then removed a wall between our kitchen and living room and opened up the room. He then painted the house and replaced our front deck. We have had Paul do our work for over 10 years. Thanks!

Paul and his team took care of three issues for me, on time and for the quoted amount. No additional expenses at the time of repair. They were prompt with the repairs as well. I will definitely call on them when I need other work done.

We have used call1 for a couple of home renovation projects and he did an OK job but he business growing has given him a big ego now you cant get him on the phone or get an estimate if you not spending over $10,000 so be aware that he only does big jobs.

We called in Call One (Paul Kerr) to help us replace two shower valves and their trim. The work was challenging, but Paul never failed to be thoughtful, explain the pros and cons of various options, and methodical. His experience really shows.

Repairs didn't last. Offered $25.00 off bill to review right then. Employee standing watching. Came out in a few days after initial call. Worked efficiently and addressed issues. answered all questions. Would definitely use again. I no longer live there. Moved out of state but I would not use again. So-so work for lots of money! Thought the person recommending knew what they were able to do. Obviously not!!

Paul, was prompt in all meetings, written quote with pricing presented at first meeting. Communication was excellent throughout the process. Multiple projects both in and out were performed to our satisfaction.

We've used Brian twice. He replaced our ceiling fans, repaired our porch, and hung two large pieces of art. He's resourceful when it comes to dealing with the quirks of our older home. Always punctual and great personality.

Great service! Had a roof leak or so I thought...Jason came out promptly and even called when he was 30 minutes out to make sure I wasn't waiting around all day. My one leak turned into three after close inspection and Jason took care of all of them for the quoted price to fix one. Excellent customer service, and great work!
