Bare Tech Plumbing

The absolute worst plumbing company I can ever say I have ever worked with. Called them to come out and fix my leak under my house. The issue ended up being the purge valve on the whole house water filter.

What was their solution... CUT THE ENTIRE FILTER OUT MY WATER LINE AND NOT REPLACE THE FILTER SYSTEM.

Every home in this area works off well water so each has a water filter below.

Charged me $275 to literally do $20 worth of work. They cut the filter out and replaced it with some PVC.

If I were you, I would NEVER and I mean NEVER use this company. What they expected was that I was a homeowner that would not go under the home to check.

Didn't even have the decency to over to refund me some of my money for this 1/2 job. They came to my house around 8PM.

Their excuse was to say they did not have a filter system to put back in the house. They could have went to home depot and purchased a system and installed it but that was their decision.

Heed my warning. If you care about your home, you will not use this company.

Came through a Home Warranty company to replace a water line in the yard and padded the bill by adding stuff to my hot water heater which was not remotely involved in the outside water line process.

Calvin and his crew have worked at my home twice fir plumbing repairs. Always prompt, and very imformative with what is happening throughout the day with the issues I had. I would definately use them again.

Several years ago we had granite countertops in the master bath installed by ProStone Granite in Greensboro. (Prostone is a superb outfit that does excellent work). Hired Bare-Tech (what kind of name is that anyway?, an immediate tip off of a not too bright outfit...) to install faucets and traps. What a mistake! The installer overtightened the drain fitting and the porcelain sink cracked and broke under the pressure of too tight fitting about an hour after he left. These are to be hand tightened / no more. Bare-Tech would not stand behind it and I had to pay Prostone to bust out the sink and replace it as well as pay for the 2nd sink myself. I subsequently installed the drain myself which I should have done to begin with. A very unreputable outfit - avoid at all cost.

DON’T RECOMMEND I FEEL LIKE WE’VE BEEN SCAMMED!! My plumbing/drainage made rattling noises when I flushed the toilet/sinks etc. I spoke to the repair technician in person who inspected the noise with me on site. After diagnosing the issue, he went to make a call to his office to see if the repair was covered under my insurance. 5 mins later, he came back inside and told me that “there would NOT be any charges and that my insurance will cover it”. I said ok good my insurance told me the same thing. I left the house to go to work, and while at work I get a call from tech and his office saying that I need to pay over $345 because he had came across a different issue. I tried to explained to both of them that the tech said there would
Not be any charges per our conversation after his inspection. I Spoke to his office told him that the tech said I didn’t have to pay anything, his office insisted that his tech didn’t tell me that and kept denying. Very bad business practice highly DO NOT recommend. Scammed or bad business practice is exactly this.

After both parties agree that there would not be any charges after inspection, you don’t go randomly find issue to charge your customer

Perfect service

I called Bare tech to what turned out to be a broken gate valve. Easy to get to. Should have been a relatively simple repair and they came at a time when I could not be there. My fault for not getting a price upfront. Charged me $320 for something that should not have taken an hour to replace a $15 part. Asked a different plumbing company what it should have cost and they said about $115 to $125. Not a company that I can trust or recommend. Pays to get an estimate up front even though you will still be charged for the $85 service call.

Bare tech is awesome. We had to have sewage pipe replaced and they was here first thing prompt and very curtious...God bless this company

Very Difficult and Frustrating job to have to deal with! And Bare Tech came through with flying colors: Competent Mechanics [Mike and Matt], Excellent Workmanship. Presented with the scope of the job, Bare Tech was not afraid of doing what was needed, to get the job done. They had experience doing this type of work and followed through to the end. Eight other plumbing companies were called and all but was afraid of doing this job or priced so very high [with out even looking at the job site!]. That one other company could do the job but was booked out a month. Bare Tech you win and are heroes in my eyes.

We had a situation clogged kitchen drain that turned out to be a completely plugged, rotted out cast iron drain under a concrete slab. After we prepared the workspace for them [masking off everything and removal of kitchen cabinets, appliances, bathroom commode, and floor coverings], Mike and Matt cut, jackhammered, and dug out 27' of completely stopped up, clogged, rotted out, and brittle cast iron pipe all the way to and including the 2 to 3 double Y of the main drain line. Then after replacing the double Y fitting tucked up under a central wall between the bathroom and the laundry room, they installed new 2 PVC drain line, graded the drain pipe, and filled the trench through the bathroom and kitchen/dining room with concrete. Concrete pour and final clean up went far into the night and maybe early morning. Again Well Done Guys!
