Acosta has been amazing. We replaced our old AC unit using them and from start to finish amazing service and quality work. From the salesman Matt that first came to our home to the techs who installed the ac and thermostat everyone was exceptional. With ac install they did inspections a few months after to make sure everything was working smoothly. They even sent out one of their electricians Tony to inspect the breaker after install. Quality work.Several months later we had an electrical issue (unrelated to ac) and called Acosta back for their electrical service. Tony came out again and diagnosed the issue and repaired the issue. He does quality work and cares about his work. And it shows he tested many things to make sure his initial diagnosis was 100% the issue.I could not recommend Acosta enough and would use them again without hesitation they're just a great company with exceptional staff who knows their stuff.

Our family called Acosta to install a whole house generator and later this year a Lennox furnace & air purifier. Both times we have been very pleased with their communication, attention to detail and knowledge of the systems. Thumbs up to their fine staff of employees; the very polite Jasmine in the office, Josh who expertly evaluated the equipment and efficiency level we would need and finally the professional installers, Tony and Duke and their tireless helpers. Had an excellent and educational experience working with John Miller from Acosta. He showed me what was causing the issue and how to maintain the heating system going forward. This was on Friday afternoon at around 4:30 pm. John really is knowledgeable and practical, never overselling but showing means of saving money. Would like to know more about the heat pumps.

Acosta installed a Generac Generator for my home. The sales experience was fantastic. Jeremy understood my needs and worked with me in order to get this project rolling. The installation was very timely. Tony quickly assessed my home and explained the process. Once the installation was complete, Tony did a start up and made sure I understood how the Generator would function in the event of a power failure at my home. The warranty was explained as well as what maintenance would be needed.I felt very confident after this experience and would highly recommend this company for you to use in the event you are interested in a project of this nature.

They replaced a 23 yo ac unit for me in 2020 and it’s been wonderful. Any issues I had under warranty were covered completely and they always come immediately. The people are great and I trust them. They work with you on financing and don’t charge service charge if you end up buying something. They work with you and are fair. They help with rebates and make sure you save as much as possible.

Fantastic experience with Juan, Kevin, Jeremy and John Miller!Our house is unfortunately older and our HVAC unit was 30 years old! Heat and air was not circulating through our home and unfortunately we knew it was time for a replacement.John did a complete walk through, explained the issues and was able to fix some of the issues but ultimately we knew we would need a new unit. Having him walk us through the best options for our home was amazing! And while he explained to us our options, he took a moment to play tea party with our 3 year old! I loved the family feel! He was incredibly patient with all our questions, friendly and very professional!Jeremy then called my husband to talk financing and explained the whole process of what it would look like for monthly payments, it was a blessing to be offered this option! He was very friendly and extremely punctual in his responses to our questions! We really appreciated his honesty on what our home really needed and didn’t feel pressured to buy or purchase anything!The very next day Juan and Kevin arrived right on time for an install! We were shocked and pleased with the punctuality! They were both very professional, and I felt very comfortable having them come in and out of my home! They were fast and efficient and even offered to relabel some mislabeled switches on our power box!The air flow is so fantastic! Everyone involved with Acosta is fantastic! Aheem, Geoffrey, Stan, Coleman & Jeremy were all involved in our recent new heat pump and upgrade installation. In addition a new installation of a new outside electrical panel and upgrade were done. The company has the highest standards and hires the best employees out there. This review is based on our recent issues not our purchase and installation. I want to preface we have a new infant in our house. Our past purchase of AC and Furnace + installation was a wonderful experience, so naturally when we had issues with our 2019 furnace we inherited with our house we called Acosta. I called and got an answering service who took my work order request and was told someone would call back to schedule. No one called for 4hrs, so I called back and they fortunately were able to get someone out that day. We talked with Josh, our technician who came on Feb 1st and figured out we would need a new part. He was told by his contact that we could have a part and our heat upstairs going again in 3-5 days. On Feb 3rd Josh called and said the latest the part would be here would be Feb 7th. Then got a call on the 6th saying the part was still not here and again on the 8th saying it still wasn’t here… Since then, it’s basically been crickets. We called on the 14th and was told by Kareem they would check on the ETA and call back to tell us where the part was and of course…never received that call. We called again on the 17th and STILL no part… I don’t understand why we cannot get an explanation on when and where this part is. Did it get lost in the ocean shipping from China? Who knows. But when Josh initially came we signed up for the monthly membership and at this point we are about done with Acosta. We have a space heater set up in our infants room which is not very safe. Totally we’ve been waiting over 2 weeks without heat and an infant in our upstairs area. I hope Acosta can make this right and we can update our review but needless to say going forward we don’t have much faith in their reliability nor their word. Giving a 2 star because we were actually able to get a technician to our house at the time we needed him to be here. Other than that it’s been a terrible experience

I chose Acosta for an A/C Tune-up, because of their rating on google and their 'special' price, however I believe that the technicians didn't do their job, unless the technicians can see through sheet metal. Around an hour after the technicians parked in front of my house to take a break and chat, I let them inside to inspect my A/C and heating unit, which is about a year old. The evaporator coil access panel still has the original duck tape and caulking from installation around some of the edges, which would need to be removed/broken to do complete a 16-PT Inspection - per Acosta website, Our AC Tune-up includes a check and a water wash of the condenser coil, we will check the evaporator coil.... After the technicians said they completed the A/C tune-up and that everything was really clean upon their inspection, I was asked to show them my air filters, so I opened a intake vent and pull out a filter to show them. The technicians recommended that I change my filters more regularly (even though I had replaced that filter about a week earlier). Then, I was given a sales pitch for an overpriced (in my opinion) A/C tune up package and given a sales pamphlet. After the technicians left, I noticed that the caulking and duck tape around the edges of the access panel had not been tampered with, i.e. broken, cut, and/or replaced.My recommendation for future customers, watch the technicians do their job or have them show you exactly what and how they did it, before you pay.

It is SO hard to find expert electrical contractors. I already knew Acosta was A++ when it comes to HVAC so calling them for an electrical issue was an obvious choice. The ease of scheduling, the great communication, and the incredibly experienced and knowledgeable electrician who came to our house - wow. It’s been a long time since I had a customer experience at this level. 10/10 cannot recommend strongly enough!!

Geoffrey and Aheem did a fantastic job installing our new HVAC package unit. They were on time, communicated effectively, and professional during their time here. We had a gas leak afterwards that Geoffrey and Aheem took the time to track down and resolve. One of the valves was turned on that shouldn't have been. Ryan and Dustin led the efforts to replace our furnace, AC compressor and ductwork. This was a big job that took almost 4 entire days. They were excellent throughout. We have used Acosta H&C for several years and have been quite happy with the service we have received.5/26/23 Update. Kenny came out to do the annual check on our AC system. He was friendly, polite, and thorough. Another job well done by the Acosta folks.

We purchased a 1925 house in February 2022, but never moved in until April so we never had a winter in the house. December 23 our power went out and when we got it back on one of our three units wasn’t working. This is our primary heat and hvac unit. Our upstairs unit is air conditioning only and our house had an addition 28 years ago which has a smaller heating and air unit which is 28 years old. So our primary heat is out. I spoke with Michael who told me he would try and get a technician out that day, but if not that day then definitely in the morning. I wrote a message to them in the morning asking for an ETA. Got a call at 1:30 from a Russian number. I answered and it was Jay from Acosta who told me since I wasn’t a preferred member I wouldn’t get service today. I’ve used this company twice over the past 6 months and spent over $750 with them on small jobs. He told me they could bring me a bunch of space heaters. He called me back 10 minutes later to tell me they had no space heaters, but that I could get an appointment Tuesday. He told me I wasn’t a priority even though I have a 5 month old and the heat not working was causing a chain reaction for our tankless water heater not to work. What a JOKE of a company. Will never be using them again.

Marc was on time to complete my six months maintenance service on my HVAC. He checked the duct system that was inside my house. No one has done that before and I appreciate the extra steps that Marc took to make sure everything is working the way it is supposed to work. Now I need to get my duct unit cleaned because of dust. He took the time to go under the house and there was another issue I have to take care of. Thanks Marc for going the extra mile and educating me. Need to be more of your caliber.

We had our ac go out right in the dead of summer with 105 heat index and just got home with a new born. We called all the competitors and people were so rude and availability was terrible. Some saying it would be 6-8 weeks before they could install a new unit. I called Acosta and Jasmine answered the phone and was seriously so incredibly nice and helpful. She heard me out and was super responsive and had someone out to me within hours. Jeremy came and quoted a new unit. He was extremely professional. Also he was very honest on what we needed and didn’t need. Jamie and Chris came and installed the next day. We could not have asked for better service all around! Couldn’t recommend Acosta more!

Andy B came to our home about a week ago. The 18 yr old Trane unit had seen better days. He and Andrew Edwards developed several bids to either repair the old equipment or upgrade to newer equipment along with adding some insulation in the attic along with increasing a return duct size. In the end I selected door number 2 : ). The price was reasonable based on all the work that was accomplished over two days by Quentin C. along with Alberto S and another newer employee that I met today. The install crew were very friendly, informative, got us cooling the first day, the installation was done VERY professionally and overall my wife and I are extremely happy. We will be going on a yearly contract with them to ensure our investment in HVAC equipment keeps running good. Glad to be an Acosta Heating and Cooling Customer!

I had a clog in my overflow line on ACThey came out spent literally 10 min … and said the service was $400Billed my 80 year old Mom on her credit card. When questioned they responded that was what they are instructed to charge … no explanation at all ! They used no parts … so 20 min of labor was $400I left a VM for owner on service line and never got a call back

Of the 4 contractors i had out to give me a quote Acosta was the only one who was trying to sell me an effective HVAC unit at a reasonable price. Every other contractor had some kind of payment plan or service guarantee (Acosta offered almost as good guarantees) that they tried to attach to the price of a new unit. I sincerely have no words to describe the incredibly beyond excellent service and work this company has giving me specially the good manners, patience, good service, incredible business manners the technician by the name Joshua gave me with the work I needed to be done. Joshua, you are beyond excellent. It’s been such a pleasure to see a young man with so much to give to a client. I use Acosta for all of my maintenance needs for my home and business, so when it was time for a new unit I gave them an opportunity to quote which I compared against two other vendors. The quotes were all in the same range so I went with Acosta due to warranty and previous experience, and I’m glad I did. The variable Lennox system Eric recommended is nearly silent and the comfort level of the house is great without extreme amounts of air howling through the vents. Initially there was some troubleshooting which John fixed conclusively and methodically. Service levels I’ve come to expect from Acosta, 10/10!

When I bought my house 9 years ago, the AC unit died a few months later. Acosta was the company I chose to repair or replace it. They did a terrific job. I have them perform regular tune-ups and maintenance on my furnace and AC units ever since. They are trusted partners in keeping my home comfortable both summer and winter. They are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and provide great HVAC services.

We had an appointment for 9 AM for a quote and they did not show up until just before 1 PM. The quote they gave us was over $900 to install one outlet in our house. The gentleman who worked there was very nice, but the price and timeliness of them was very disappointing.

The Acosta representative, Matt Howey, presented himself very professionally with a friendly personality. He did the annual check on my furnace systems, spending the time to ensure they were in good working order. He finished up and made sure all areas were left clean and closed up. Downgrading my review from 2 years ago. Been using Acosta for 22 years. They reschedule nearly every service appointment they schedule with me. Their technician work is good (but how would I know, really) but they have been trained on up-selling and I feel not always for necessary parts/services. I’ve asked to speak with a supervisor, but they won’t connect me directly nor provide a contact name, and no one calls back. I’m not impressed and searching for alternatives.

I'm not saying it's criminal, but when they come out to do the annual cleaning, they always recommend several thousands of dollars in repairs. This time our system was working fine before the cleaning and within 24 hours it was broken. The response was basically, we told you so. Now if that happened once or even twice maybe that is just bad luck, but 3 times in a row our working AC breaks within a day of regular cleanings seems like a pretty big coincidence. We have been using Acosta for 15 years and have had them install new AC units in 3 houses without any complaints. Something has fundamentally changed in the way they do business and it feels like they are preying on their loyal customers. I would recommend using other companies that you can trust.

I have purchased this system for $12K two months ago and it has stopped working for more than three times. I paid for two visits since they gave me reasons that someone try to cut the power but that was not the case. They came three weeks ago and said the compressor needs to be replaced and they will order it over night. As of today, we still out of AC. This situation, I never experience with any HVAC company. I will have my attorney handle this matter moving forward. My employees and customers are suffering from the heat and I am loosing business every single day and costing me money since it is not the best experience for customers.

That evening we realized the electrical repairs were not working correctly. 2 days later and still no tech to fix their mistakes. Service call was requested when our heating system stopped working. Acosta rep wanted to see the outside unit and came back in the house, evaluated the issues with the heating system in the attic and gave me three possible solutions as far as repair or replacement.I told him I was not making a decision immediately and needed time to consider the suggested solutions. At that point he told me I HAD to sign a form stating that I was not going to select Acosta’s quote/service. Certainly a good way to lose a potential customer.Later I was on my deck and saw that he placed Acosta stickers on my hvac unit and the electrical box on the house. Acosta did nothing as far as repairs and did not get my business and DID NOT have permission to advertise on my property. I have no respect for a company that operates that way. I would not recommend Acosta.I had to select at least one star in order to leave my post. I would not give any stars otherwise.

I decided on the Mitsubishi mini split for a upstairs loft which has never been able to adequately cool and heat due to having so many large windows and only 1 duct coming from a existing hvac. Duke and John installed a new furnace and AC. Our comfort consultant Jeremy was also involved in the process. We have had Acosta for many years and value the openness and honesty. We maintain a service contract and have always been treated with respect and professionalism from all of the associates at Acosta. We also had our upstairs unit replaced back in the summer time and Acosta took the time to explain all of the options available from immediate repairs to a full replacement. They are very thorough, taking pictures and explaining everything they se. This is all for the benefit of the homeowner to keep systems running efficiently.

I would highly recommend Acosta Heating, Cooling and Electrical to anyone needing HVAC servicing and maintenance. They went above and beyond my expectations with installing my new HVAC system in my home. Jeremy B. was very well mannered and professional when inspecting my home and consulting for a new system. He was on time and he completed the inspection in a timely manner. He ensured that our family was comfortable before, during and after consultation and inspection. When Jeremy completed his inspection of our home, he thoroughly explained to us the costs and the plan with installation. He helped us understand what was going on by explaining every step of the way. On installation day, Jeremy B., Brandon W., and Duke were all on time and completed the installation in a safe and timely manner. Brandon was very friendly and explained to us what he was doing throughout each step of the process. Duke was also very friendly and he was very professional and well mannered. They ensured that the system was installed correctly and I really appreciate these 3 men because they were all very professional and comforting. We installed two duckless mini splits about 13 years ago, and recently I started having problems with one of them. I decided to look into replacing the unit with a Mitsubishi, which led me to Acosta because they are a Diamond Dealer and I knew they would be experienced in mini splits and this brand in particular. The sales consultant, Matt, came out and reviewed my situation and patiently explained all of my options and gave his recommendations for a new mini split. He was respectful, friendly and very experienced. Facing extremely cold weather in just two days, he set up the installation quickly so that I'd be warm the night of the cold snap. I was very pleased that things could move so quickly. Matt also explained that even though my other unit was working, it would provide better heat and perform more efficiently if cleaned, and he managed to do that on the same day. He worked really hard to get it cleaned because no other company had even told me that this was an option, and it had never been cleaned before. Alexis and Carvel replaced the bad unit and were also respectful, friendly and knowledgeable. They were very careful in moving my tv and making sure it got put back in the right place with all of the connections correct. I could not be more pleased with the whole experience and am very glad I chose Acosta.

We purchased a high end AC unit from Acosta along with the service plan over a year ago. Since that time our AC has broken 3 times and they do not have a reason or are able to figure it out. Right now it is almost 100 degrees in Charlotte and the AC went out again. They are ignoring our calls. This is the most unprofessional business I have ever worked with and we will never purchase another unit from them again. I warn you not to use ACOSTA. They do not know what they are doing!

I am an Acosta Club Member. I recently had a visit from their tech team for routine seasonal maintenance. The team always provides good communication and does thorough inspection, cleaning and maintenance. On the most recent visit they discovered an issue with the heat exchange on my gas furnace, leaking carbon monoxide into my home. Acosta provided a clear explanation for the issue, the cause and outlined some options. This was a potentially life threatening issue — I did seek alternative opinions to confirm the issue and other firms dismissed the concern after limited inspection and relative age of the system (about 8 years). Ultimately I did get confirmation of the carbon monoxide leak. I thank the Acosta (especially the agents that came to my home) for uncovering this issue and keeping my family safe. Acosta’s professionalism and thoroughness are superb and I will forever be grateful for their efforts.

I needed a group to come out and look at my 4 year old heating unit as it wasn't heating up the house in an emergency. The technician came out and started quoting me thousands of dollars for repair. I paid the minimum which was a $5 fuse part, but they charged me over $400. You can say I'm a little incensed at the audacity of this organization and their price gouging. If your company wants to make money, that's fine just state your fees. But don't come into people's homes and start making up stuff or trying to hype up the fear to sell your products. Immoral and deplorable in morals and tactics. I will never call them again.

Service Representative was courteous andprofessional. I mentioned to him a recent noise I had concerns about whenever the heater blower started. After completing his maintenance routine he remembered to ask if the noise was still there. It was not and he told me he tighten some screws that mayhave been the problem. He read aloud a detailed checklist of his maintenance performances. He made me aware of the cost benefit of a service plan without being pushy.I am very pleased with my maintenance service experience with Acosta.

EDIT 2021:Dale and Mel installed a new unit at our new house this past week and they did an amazing job! Truly appreciate their hard work as well as the rest of the team. Thank you so much!Past review:After today's experience I am now a customer for life! I always trusted Acosta Heating & Cooling to the point that we had a brand new unit installed by them 2 years ago. Unfortunately, we had to make multiple calls for heat issues those past two years and again today.Due to this they sent out two tech's to work on in it and double check everything. They spent hours trying to figure out the issue, ruling out every possibility. They eventually found the issue and are in the process of replacing it.As a result of all my past issues with the heat and service calls they are helping us out financially and got us set up again on the Acosta Club. I am absolutely amazed how far they were willing to go to help us as the company we used before them didn't care or even listen to my concerns, just making an excuse for the problem instead of addressing it. They listened and understood and explained everything perfectly and didn't make feel dumb or insignificant.I truly am grateful for this company and their hard work! Needed to replace damper motor and other potential issues discovered that could be more costly if not addressed. Jason explained issues along with estimate without pressure to address now. Completed what could be done now and ordered part for future install and was able to get the system back up and running. Very impressed with his skill and professionalism. I had an incredible experience with Martin of Acosta. Martin is the only technician from Acosta that was able to solve a 2 year recurring issue with my HVAC. He is the only guy I trust to work on my unit moving forward. Outside of being able to solve an incredibly complex issue, he provided first class customer service over a four day period. On top of that, he consistently checks in on me to make sure I'm doing okay and that my unit is operating to standard. He's an incredible professional who truly cares about my well-being and was determined to ensure his work was done correctly and to the highest quality.Keep this guy on staff and give him opportunities to grow as a leader within the company. 2021 Update: after years of loyalty, Acosta decided they were going to charge me $900.89 to replace a blower motor that took 45 minutes to change out. When I initially questioned the charge, they said it was a $1300 part. After further research, the part is listed from several places for under $700. I’m cancelling my service contract with Acosta. If you do use them, always get a quote from a reputable HVAC company to ensure you don’t get taken for granted!Review before they decided to gouge me:Always a great experience with Acosta! We bought two new systems about 6 years ago from them and are on their semi-annual service plan. Systems work great. They will provide you with upgrade options and great explanations on the benefits, but do not pressure you.

Christian arrived on time and ready to go, he listened carefully to us about our problems and experience with our previous company. He informed of of his plan of inspection and completely went through the system finding the problem. He also noticed issues that have been causing problems with our unit since the home was built. These problems were causing other issues that we didn’t even realize were related to the HVAC unit. He was very fair and did not blame the other company even though a lot of the problems were made by them. He gave us a multitude of options for repairs that were appropriate for our home. We need to have a potential issue found during a home inspection checked by a certified technician. My realtor recommended Acosta. From the initial contact through the repair the service was excellent. Initial contact was with Kristen. She told me their scheduler had left for the day but would call me back first thing in the morning. Courtney called as promised and we were able to schedule the diagnostic the same day. Vincent arrived around 6:00 pm and went straight to work. Within 30-min he had determine it was a minor issue and was able to correct the problem on the spot. No return service call. He explained the the issue and his corrective actions. He was very polite and professional. There is no doubt I would use Acosta for ongoing maintenance and any future repairs. Unfortunately, we are moving out of the area.

Our 13 year old AC quit cooling 5am Saturday morning. Couldn't find anything obviously wrong myself so called Acosta early that afternoon. They sent Stan out within 2 hours of my call. The gauges told the story - charge Ok but in & out levels nearly the same - the compressor had failed. He was great to work with and a wealth of good info. This is why we've been dealing with this company since '98. Awesome service! They're coming back out tomorrow (Sunday) to help us get started with a new system and even bringing a portable unit to ease the discomfort. Not happy about the situation obviously, but very satisfied with the great help to troubleshoot and resolve it.

We purchased a new HVAC setup from Acosta a year and a half ago through Costco. Our installation was botched by incompetent technicians, and has never worked correctly. It has had multiple failures though both hear and AC. We have had twenty or so service calls, and it's still not fixed. We currently do not have heat. We just received the 2x year maintenance, where we are always told that everything looked great. Yet again, it's not functioning. We have to take days off work for these constant fix appointments, and they are regularly moved to other days or canceled at the last minute. We've paid holiday diagnostic fees, gained longer and longer warranties, but are still freezing. We've been more than patient and accommodating with Acosta Heating and Cooling, but there is no point to continuous warranties, when they don't know how to fix their own mistakes. It's been a nightmare, and now we have no heat and are worried about pipes bursting in the cold.

New top of the line furnace installed by Acosta in May 2020. Appears key component not installed properly and when unit had scheduled maintenance review in October 2020 it went unnoticed again. Repair not concluded. All service is under warranty but disappointed that this wasn’t caught prior to the extreme cold snap. Our Acosta tech today, Sean, did a great job in identifying & explaining the issue and indicated by early next week (Monday) they should have the part available. Just expect better results when spending this kind of money.

I think we were most impressed with the fact that Acosta doesn't cut corners. They were the ONLY company that said our refrigeration lines would need to be upgraded in order to operate at full efficiency (the old lines were too small). At first, I thought it was a pitch to up-sell, but Donavan said they would include them at no additional charge. He also recommended going with American Standard, which was rated #1 by Consumer Reports for the past 6 years. Two financing options were offered, the best of which was only available for a higher rated unit. Fortunately, the efficiency rating guaranteed an additional $200/yr. savings on our utility bill. We are so happy with our choice! The compressor is incredibly quiet and our house is evenly cooled. It's nice to have a unit that doesn't run all day long. And, we love our touchscreen thermostat! Acosta is the perfect example of, You get what you pay for. We highly recommend them!

Could not figure out the problem. Same problem since 2018. Unit installed by Acosta in 2015. Constant issues. Every time something new came up. Spent over $2000 on repairs and still same issue continues. Gave me resin that last service was on Feb 21 2021. Unit failed again in 2022. Tried to see if they could fix it. Said I had to pay service fee again. Will never use them again

We purchased two new A/C units in the fall of 2019. Both came with a 1 year labor and a 10 year parts warranty. We had an issue with one units compressor contractor this Spring and was charged $445 for the repair. The system was a year and a half old. We were told the compressor contractor was not included in the parts warranty. Tried calling customer service, was placed on hold then given the run around. I fail to understand why charging a customer $450 for a part that should be covered under a warranty on a new system is a better business decision than replacing the part and gaining loyalty for future and far more lucrative sales (new HVAC units, club memberships, etc.).

With my first poor experience with Acosta I decided not to post a review because we all have bad days and sometimes parts fail and it's no one's fault. However, after spending over $18,000 on an upstairs and downstairs system it has broken twice within an 8 month period. Both times Acosta refused to come out that night to fix it. The first time I was able to convince them after several hours to come out since the system was a week old and there was an evident smell of gas though I had to listen to the manager complain that he was about to go to bed, so was I until I went upstairs and it was 95 degrees.Well here we are again and it's 80+ degrees in my house and despite being part of their club (complete rip off), there is no technician available. I didn't even get an appointment for the next business day, just the promise that someone would call me eventually.To put insult to injury the system has been more expensive in power and gas than the 1991 system it replaced. It's amazing to me that a high efficiency 2 stage system installed in 2020 would cost more per month than the 1991 system it replaced.Unless you just enjoy over paying and getting a system that breaks more often than your current almost 30 year old system, I would not even call Acosta.

Acosta has a great reputation around the city and rightfully so. They do quality work. However, their prices are HIGH. Andy was outstanding. Very knowledgeable, engaging, detailed and approachable. Unfortunately, Acosta was the only company I could get to visit my house due to an urgent AC issue on a hot Saturday afternoon. They kept their word and came to my house within two hours. Job was done, system was diagnosed and R-410A coolant was pumped back into my line. After working with 3-4 different HVAC contractors last few years, Acosta's price was 2-3x higher their competitors for the exact same product and service. Quality service but astronomical pricing.

We called Acosta after our 10 year old air conditioning unit went out. We had it replaced by them and in the process, the installation tech melted our siding on the exterior of our house. They did not even bother to let me know that this had happened until I went out there to look at it and brought it to their attention ... once they admitted fault, they sent someone out a week later to fix the siding.On top of the siding being melted, the tech left his used gloves and water bottle in our attic that I had to clean up and throw away after he left.Fast forward two months later- our unit stopped working completely and when I called, they told me they can not send someone out right away to fix it even though it is 94 degrees outside and the thermostat keeps climbing.I wish we would have spent a little more money and used someone more credible who has the resources to respond to emergency situations.

We enjoyed the experience so much that we recommended them to our neighbor’s mom and her unit was installed last week.To start, Donavan came to my home and asked me about my needs, wants, and frustrations with my current unit. He didn’t push a certain brand or agenda. Careful thought and time went into the options he presented.Next, Jayson and Tim showed up ON TIME, professionally dressed, and introduced themselves. We did a quick walk through of the job and they set a clear agenda about what I should expect throughout the day. They laid out floor protection and placed great emphasis on protecting my home. In my opinion Acosta Heating & Cooling is the best Charlotte HVAC company. During the estimate, Eric Acosta spent over an hour at my home running an energy evaluation, providing system recommendations, and answering any questions I had about the proposed work. That was a couple of weeks ago (the only reason my follow-up appointment wasn't sooner was because I was out of town). This morning, Ricardo and Junior came to my home to replace a furnace, expand duct work, and replace and old thermostat. They arrived ahead of schedule and completed the work ahead of schedule, wore boot covers in the house, showed me how to work my new thermostat, and answered all of the questions I had. I recommend Acosta Heating & Cooling as your Charlotte air conditioning and heating contractor of choice.UPDATE - The county inspectors were at my home this morning. The inspector asked to take photos of the furnace installed to be used for training purposes because the furnace installers did such a great job. After the inspection was complete, the gentlemen from Acosta even offered to vacuum the home where some dust and dirt had fallen. I declined, but thanked them for the offer. Top notch service!

Quentin C and his service partner, Chad, came to our home today to replace our upstairs HVAC and all related system pieces. They could not have been more friendly, knowledgeable and hard working. Update 5/18/20:I noticed my daughter's vent had no air coming out of it the evening of 5/16/20. Went up in the attic and saw to my horror a large hole in the air handler right above her duct spewing cold air. It was not there before the air guy came out and I had not been back up there since. Apparently it looked like someone tore open a hole and covered it with electrical tape that came loose. You know electrical tape...that black tape that doesn't really stick to anything including electrical. Anyone with some knowledge knows to use duct tape on ducts/ac metal due to air pressure. It is very sticky! Also there was a gash in the duct that had electrical tape peeling back along with dead roach bodies. I called Acosta and of course being a Saturday, they couldn't come until Monday. The main tech came back out as before and made sure it was resealed properly. Apparently the assistant he was training did the hole/improper seal and Jeremy did not check up after the guy. He apologized for the error and did not charge.Original review 4/23/20:Acosta is the second place I have tried here in the Charlotte area since moving from Florida two years ago. The other was a 5-star rated AC place here on Google that was OK, but nowhere near Acosta's level of service. I've only dealt with Acosta twice since January 2020, but they have done a great job regardless.The first time I had them come out was in January to fix an issue that has plagued my house since I bought it in 2018. My youngest daughter's room has a temp that fluctuates 3 degrees from the rest of the house either warmer or colder depending on the outside temp. The other AC company did a few things after they completed my service twice in 2019, but came to the same conclusion that I needed a larger duct and damper for her room. I am kind of suspicious of their recommendations after they tried to charge me over $600 for two simple parts that I fixed on my compressor for $30 in a half-hour of watching a YouTube video.The tech, Jeremy, from Acosta came out and first thing he asked was if the other company did a static pressure test. I'm like a what?! He said That must be a no. After Jeremy went up in the attic and completed the test, he came down and explained it had never been completed on the unit after 15 years in service and the entire unit was out of whack. He adjusted everything and hopefully that would fix it, but said the enlarged duct would not fix the issue. Jeremy did say a new AC unit would need to be done as mine was not up to spec anyway with different vent sizes and the unit was undersized due to the addition the previous owners completed on the house. Anyway, my daughter's room can still vary a bit from time to time but the entire house seems to get up/down to temp really quick compared to before. I also notice her room temp is within 1 degree most of the time instead of 3. Oh, and I signed up for their Acosta Club on the spot to have them come out twice a year for service and get discounts on any repairs.I scheduled Acosta for my first service in April during the Covid lock down (great timing). They called me a couple of times to reschedule, but did so well in advance and keep communication throughout the process. The same tech, Jeremy, showed up with an assistant and took his time to check everything in the attic, which was still doing fine. He then left to work on the compressor this time which had not been looked at. Jeremy later asked if the insides had been cleaned out before. My blank look must have told him again No and he said it was filled with debris from the pine trees. I never saw AC companies clean out the insides before in Florida! At the end, he said everything looked good even though it was an old system and to just keep an eye out for any changes. His only recommendation was to consider a new system in the next 5 years eventually, but no fixes that needed to be done for a couple hundred that other companies seem to come up with.I highly recommend Acosta for their great customer service!

I'd give them -10 rating if there's such option in short. Here's my experience with Acosta heating and cooling. I have hired these guys to fix my AC unit. Technician came over and spent 3-4 hours to fix the problem. A/C unit stopped working on the next day. I called them again so front office had dispatched the same technician for the second time. He came over and sold me another unnecessary service. I believed in him and paid whatever he asked me to pay but that didn't help since the A/C stopped working after a week. I called the service desk to complain the issue and this time they have asked me to authorize a fee for the visit. They waived this fee after a few minutes conversation and dispatched the same technician. This time he said it's not repairable and needs to be replaced. I was shocked to hear this! Why wouldnt he suggested this during the first visit itself?! I have decided to go with some other company and cancelled my membership with Acosta. Despite getting the cancellation confirmation over the phone, they continue to charge the membership fee that too twice every month. I am working with them and credit card company for the refund.Please stay away from this company.

We had a new a/c unit installed by Acosta and after the fact found out they did not install our unit correctly. We had multiple licensed professionals out to look at it and they all agreed that it was the worst install job they have ever seen. When I call Acosta to ask them to make it right I was told it would be at my cost to fix their mistakes. They were supposed to get back to me with a price and never did. If you don’t care about customer service and professional installation then use them. I will never recommend them to anymore.

I called because my AC was not blowing cold air and was 78 degrees at midnight. When i called at midnight they had sent Shannon over the first thing in the morning on a Sunday which was an incredible response time. She was courteous, knowledgeable and explained the issues and options very well. She made the repairs and replacements quick and provided an exceptional service. Also, made me aware of cutting back my trees and bushes around the AC units outside to prevent damage.

This is hands-down the worst experience I’ve ever had as a consumer. Do not use this company under any conditions. They installed my entire system and it has been an eight year nightmare replacing equipment and getting poor service. There has literally never been a service call where they have not asked for between 350 and $2000 to do major repairs. Their business model is to install poor equipment convince you that it needs maintenance twice a year and then ask for several thousand dollars per year on top of the regular maintenance fees as things continuously break down.

I recently purchased a place and wanted to get my HVAC system checked. I had called a couple locations and many in the Charlotte area would not service condos. Acosta was able to schedule me quickly and had no issue working on a condo HVAC system.My appointment was scheduled for the tech to show up between 3-5 pm. He showed up at 3:30 pm which was very nice that I wasn't waiting all afternoon. He gave me a nice heads up when he was heading over. The tech who came was Mike, and he was very courteous and knew what he was doing. He recommended two new parts (and gave me quotes), but did not pressure me into purchasing them, which was nice.Tl;dr great company that services condos with knowledgeable techs that don't pressure you into buying expensive new parts right away.

When we discovered a natural gas leak near the furnace, Acosta Service Technician, Aaron Rice, responded promptly, the same day, to inspect and fix two locations on an older unit. He went above and beyond, to also thoroughly inspect my 15-year-old Trane Air Conditioning system for a few issues about which I had concerns. Aaron was knowledgeable, efficient, and a joy to meet. He listened attentively to all of my comments, followed up with meaningful questions and patiently explained the maintenance issues that needed to be addressed at this visit. He also offered to research an installation code question which will help to guide me in making future repair decisions. I couldn’t ask for more...but, I definitely will ask for him, by name, the next time I schedule service.The phone support was equally helpful, prompt, and knowledgeable. The woman who answered my call scheduled Aaron immediately, very politely worked around my availability, and explained why Aaron would be the best person to inspect the units. I was very impressed with the quality of her customer service.

They sent some one the next day a called after my AC stopped cooling.The issue here is no one bothered to fix it correctly. The only interest was to get me to buy a whole new equipment that they were charging me $12,000.00 for. They said my AC was dead charged me $700 for a part that didn't fix the problem.My husband fixed the no more functional, dead AC, like they said, with $6.00.I called them, and I was told they would call me back a week later and no call. The service I received from Andy with Acosta Heating and Cooling was first rate. Andy quickly diagnosed the problem with my system, gave me an accurate estimate of the cost to repair and promptly fixed the problem. My father was a HVAC contractor and I worked with him in this field for several years, so I have had some experience with mechanics and techs who do this type of work. Andy is one who obviously takes pride in workmanship and has excellent communication skills. If he is your technician, you are in good hands with someone doing skillful reputable work. Acosta used to be a quality realiable provider. Their service over the past 3 years has declined dramatically. They don't even answer the phone anymore & when someone finally answers suffled from dept. to dept. Tech was supposed to arrive between 12 & 4 but instead didn't arrive until after 4:30. Very disappointing that I had to call 3 times before someone could give me an eta. I finally spoke with someone who pointed out some customers didn't have any AC. I reminded her it was not 90 or 100+ degrees outside only 80. Very disappointing, they used to be much better than this. If they don't get it together soon I'll investigate others for my HVAC needs.

We recently had an air-conditioning issue & called the company we‘ve used for the past 14 years.We didn’t have a service contract because we’re preparing to move out of state & were told we’dhave to wait 10 days for service because the service contract customers had priority.We’ve heard Acosta radio ads for years & decided to call. We are grateful that our A/C is now working - but I have to say that I am disappointed in service. I was expecting to pay a diagnostic fee, but I was not anticipating an additional charge of $130 for the technician to simply strip and reattach a wire. That is an outrageous charge for a 30 second task. On top of that, we were told by Acosta that we would be able to apply a $50 online coupon toward our repair bill, but were later told by the technician that he would not accept that coupon. Overall, I feel like we were substantially overcharged.

I have been a customer of Acosta for over 20+ years, they have not only serviced my systems and sold me a complete system which I have had for 10 years. I have a annual preventive maintenance contract with them as well. Before I bought my current system, I solicited bids from several contractors, Acosta was the most competitive bid and saved me over a $1,000 over other bids.Over the years when I had the rare occasion to need service, they responded within hours and stayed to make sure that everything was working properly to my satisfaction. Unfortunately prior to Acosta, I had bad experiences with other contractors. I would never call anyone else they are professional and experts.

I have been an Acosta customer for close to eighteen years, and had them maintain my systems twice a year during that time. They have replaced my entire systems and come to my home at 10 pm for an emergency repair. Their servicemen are polite, friendly, and knowledgeable, and when there is a change in personnel (which I don't like), they seem to be better than the last guy, almost always.Yes, they may be a little more expensive, but before using Acosta, I paid less, and the jobs were never done right, and I always had reoccurring problems. We had a coolant leak in one of the units and the $1700 replacement cost me $0 because of the extended warranty they provided (was included in the total quote, and unknown to me) when I replaced the units - nice surprise.Sometimes even the best service providers make a mistake or have a problem. I have been one who has had the good fortune of seeing them at their best! When I did have a concern, they always seemed to go out of their way to make it right.

Very knowledgeable and provide easy to understand options for a new HVAC system. Explained to differences and provide a good information to help us make an informed decision. They accounted for all the rebates and even the Costco offerings to show gross cost and net costs less rebates. The paper work process was done electronically without issue. However, inventory was not in stock which was disappointing but they provided space heaters to bridge the gap. Great up front work and good execution.

Acosta replaced a 17 year old furnace at a great price. I was fortunate enough to be able to call 3-4 HVAC guys to get price quotes and comparison shop. Acosta was the best price by far, almost HALF of what the best known HVAC company quoted me for virtually the same unit and the same specifications. The sales person was very knowledgeable and was able to offer 90 day no interest financing. The installation coordinator kept me up to date on everything. My installation team called 30 minutes in advance and they got the new unit installed and up and running in half a day. The installation crew was polite and courteous and left virtually no sign that they were even there.I will definitely be calling Acosta for any HVAC needs.

Acosta Heating and Cooling sold me an HVAC after my 15 year old unit stopped working. It was September and hot. They even brought out some room a/c units to help keep the house cool until my unit could be installed. They have given professional and friendly service through the whole experience. I was in the process of purchasing a new ac unit/furnace with Acosta through Costco to replace our old unit when my A/C cut off. Everything about acosta was great except for not having the part i needed. So unfortunately i paid the 119 dollars for nothing. They came really fast from the time i called. I needed a 1/10th hp condenser fan motor with 1100 rpm. Unfortunately he had one but didnt fit my unit. I was hoping he would drill new holes or have an adapter plate. The technician jason was great otherwise. He was courteous, fast and knowledgeable.

I had Ronnie and Andrew both come by to look at the Wifi radio and control pad for my 4 ton heat pump that lost connectivity and ability to sense my network. They determined that the unit may have received a corrupted software update. Ronnie anticipated this when he was here the prior week servicing my unit and proactively brought a replacement control pad and Wifi receiver. They installed to my unit and now all three units in my home are communicating with the server and each other and my system is perfect. I am very appreciative and am very happy with Acosta Heating and Air.

Acosta Heating and Cooling is a TOP NOTCH team. The management is very easy to work with, incredibly responsive, and very quick to please the customers. The techs love working for Acosta, they are friendly and knowledgeable, they put in extra time because they love their job, and do great work. Not many techs say they love working for their company, so that says a lot. In short, as a very pleased customer, I HIGHLY recommend Acosta to any homeowner who is looking to install a new heating/cooling system in their home.For those who are interested, here is a more detailed explanation of my experience with Acosta. I am new to Charlotte and just purchased my home a little over a year ago. My 20-year-old furnace needed to be replaced. I received three quotes from different companies, all for the exact same job (same appliances, specs, thermostats, zoning, etc). Out of the three quotes, Acosta was the clear choice. I chose them initially because they offered the best price. After dealing with them, I would have chosen them because of their price AND their service.The system they installed was a new LENNOX furnace with zoning equipment for my two-story home. It was a pretty big job, and they completed 95% of it in one day. The remaining part of the job was to program the instrumentation to engage a second zone (for the second floor). It took about 5 days for the installation manager to get his act together to come and finish the last 5%. I expressed my complaint to Eric (the sales manager/part owner) and he relayed the message on immediately. That evening they got their installation manager to come out and finish the job.When the installation manager came to program in the second zone, he noticed that there was a duct to another room that they had accidentally overlooked, and thus this room was therefore not part of any zone (it received air any time the blower was running). It should have been part of Zone 2. The installation manager told me about this, and I immediately anticipating that it would be a fight to get Acosta to come back and add that room to Zone 2. I called Eric about this, and he immediately scheduled a time to come and look at the situation. He agreed to fix the issue at no cost, which would probably have cost them nearly $1k in time and material to complete. I was amazed that I didn't have to put up a stink about it.After the tech came to fix this issue, I began to notice that my system was turning off and on at spontaneous intervals. It appeared that there was a loose wire somewhere. The entire system turned off several times per day, and I wasn't able to turn it back on until it spontaneously turned back on by itself. Since I paid close to $6K for the system, I wanted it fixed. I texted a picture of the thermostat (with a blank screen) to Eric on a Sunday evening, explaining the issue. I was again, expecting a fight. The next day I got a call from the tech explaining that he found the loose wire. In addition to finding the loose wire, he also performed further testing on my new system to measure airflow in order to further optimize the system. He spoke with me for 15 minutes on the phone, answering all of my questions politely. I came home to a system that was humming.To summarize, the Acosta team is approachable, responsive, courteous, reasonable, and great at their trade. In all honesty, the installation process didn't go perfectly smooth, but the most important part was that they were very responsive and stood by their work. They fixed everything in due time and charged nothing. Acosta is a model company. Don't think that Eric's young age means that the company lacks experience or professionalism. It's quite the opposite. Eric, his sister (and his Dad) are running a top-notch company. By their actions, it is apparent that they have a passion for serving their customers. I can tell they care more about doing a great job than making lots of money.

Tony came to our home and seemed very sincere and honest. He called Union County Code enforcement and was informed, no permit was pulled for our 2015 installation; Therefore he could not repair our unit. I called Union County Code enforcement and was informed a permit was pulled. We also have a Carrier warranty. Tony was misinformed and adhered to his guidelines, and he did not charge us for coming out, but our air conditioner is still not working, so I called the original installer. Still like Acosta.

We have a service contract with Acosta, and are very happy with their service. People who come twice a year to inspect our units are on time and polite. We are able to get appointments using the internet and are given a window for the time so the entire day is not wasted. I bought a new System from Acosta in Feb of 2015, they came out and serviced it for the first time in Mar 016 with no issues. I got a marketing call for a $69 inspection for both water heater and HVAC from a competitor and they discovered that something had happened to the compressor. You can tell that one of the wires was not attached correctly and had touched the compressor causing a hole. This caused a leak and it was obvious to me that it had not just happened. Acosta was the only one to touch this ever. I called and talked to the owner and asked if they could come out to see if there was an error when they serviced it. His response was it would be $99 plus repair of $200-$250. His response was that the competitor that was out here probably sabatoged it and there was no warranty on this part or labor. I asked if they could just come out and see since they were the last to service and he would not do that without the $99. He then asked me how I would feel if one of my customers went somewhere else for services? Really? I bought the system from them, they serviced and if I would not have responded to the offer, it would have been without oil and ruined. Worst conversation I have ever had with an owner that does not care about me, his product or service. The competitor fixed it on the spot for his warranty price and $100 less than Acosta, before the $99. I have the part that clearly shows that this leak had been there for a while and could only have been caused due a mistake but he would not listen to that, just blame the competitor. I am done with them.

A few weeks ago, during a particularly hot stretch, our A/C units stopped delivering enough cold air to keep up with our needs. I called Acosta and was very pleased with their quick response and timeliness of the service call. Bracing for the worst, I feared the technician would take one look at our obviously aging equipment and tell me everything needed to be replaced. To the contrary, he did a thorough assessment of both units, identified a minor problem, fixed it and charged one of the two units that needed Freon. Without hesitation, I recommend Acosta Heating & Cooling. Great company.

Send him back here anytime.The scheduling however was disappointing, because thevservice was supposed to happen between 1 and 4. However I got a call from your dispatcher about 3.50 pm and she told me he would be there in 20 to 30 min. He came about 4.30 appx and left abt 5.30. I had not planned for that.I suggest you let your customers know what to expect more frequently. For example, give a bigger time frame a week before but refine it to an hour or so on the day of service so they can get other things done rather than wait around.

Rick is a very knowledgeable field rep and professional. I appreciate the company confirmed my appointment earlier that day. Rick took the time to take proper inspection of the home and requirements for the proper HVAC size I will need in my home. He came in and entered his figures into his computer on the spot to provide me with several grade levels of Lennox to offer me and explained financing options. Acosta appears to be certified in many areas of expertise to make them a leading company and are backed by Costco which says a lot. Their pricing is a bit high for even the low end grade level and financing options were not my preferred options, but I believe those were only choices given with the Costco promotion. If a budget were not a factor, they would be a leading choice.

Awful experience. We bought a house that had a new system installed with Acosta, which also included a yearly membership (which is supposed to give us priority service). Well, we had an emergency when our AC stopped working and we called them late afternoon. Customer service told us that they were booked for the day and that they’d call sometime next day to see when they could come. I explained that we had a membership and that I also had a pregnant wife in the middle of summer with no AC. They still said they couldn’t make it until sometime next day. So I called Morris Jenkins instead and they came within a couple of hours. We now have a membership (cheaper too!) with Jenkins and couldn’t be happier. Bye Bye Acosta!

My 76 yo mother recommended Acosta to me after she was recently referred to them by my sister's friend, a Nexstar coach. I appreciated the personal attention she received, and her confidence in their work and the new system they were installing during a time when temps were in the high 90s and stubborn wouldn't leave her home.When my office temps reached 78 and higher, and my home wouldn't get below 74, I called. Bobbby in Rock Hill was efficient and prompt. I need a new unit, and am strangely confident that I am being steered in the right direction.As in Rock Hill, I need a new unit at home. (Awe. Some.) Supposed to call before heading to my house, but never received a call, the tech, Emanuel, told me he called me three times, it is not a big deal, the big deal was Emanuel suspected me changed wiring of the control, which I never did. first he asked where a piece wire goes, I saw it goes to the air vent, he said last time the wire connected to the air vent was not there, and I was told the warranty will be voided if any changes were made by me. It was wired by the first team and explained to me no air vent is needed. I was told the reason of not cooling is incorrect wiring. The unit is installed in Jan I guess the cooling was not tested, at that time, since the wiring has changed I am concerned if the heating might not work when winter comes. I bought the unit through Costco just for having a peace of mind, but for two hot days( first day no tech available have to wait next day), no cooling plus bad experience with service make me worry for coming years now.

I have been a customer with Acosta for almost 10 years. Service has included maintenance as well as a new Lenox hvac and furnace. I had an ailing system that was freezing up and Acosta came out and quoted me 1275.00 for 4 pounds of R22 refrigerant. I looked online and I could buy 10lbs for $160.00. They say their techs don’t push sales but that is all this guy was doing and the price that they were trying to charge for Freon left no option but to buy a new system. In the end I bought a new system from another company for almost half what acosta was quoting. Do your homework, this company is gouging it’s customers! Or in this case it’s former customer.

I cannot help but this these ratings are manipulated. Today, my air conditioning went out at 330PM. i made a service call and am willing to pay for an emergency. The tech (who was nice) called and said he could not come today. this is a business model that is not sustainable. It is 90 degrees in the health and my husband is ill. I was told that the office will call in the morning at 8AM (when i am already at work). No other options were presented to me. i am one of their comfort club members so not sure what that 40$ extra per month gets me.

*Update* Editing my original review and moving from 1 star to 4. The new zone board they installed turned out to be bad, so they installed ANOTHER one and the heat seems to be running fine now. I wish the dispatcher/operator would have done a better job communicating what was going on, as i had trouble getting a quick response and setting up the final appointment, but Acosta made it right in the end.After spending $1300 and having to stay home on 5 different days, my heat doesn't work, and I've gotten no response from Acosta. I called initially because one of the zones in my home wasn't heating properly, and we discovered some parts needed to be replaced. Since the job was completed, my heat keeps shutting down. Acosta has sent techs to try to to diagnose the problem, but I get a different explanation everytime. I've tried to be patient, but after calling at 5 yesterday, and not receiving a response, I began to get frustrated after sleeping in a heatless house in the 27 degree weather. The techs are friendly, but I can't recommend this company...

Acosta is a good company, but you should be aware they are very expensive. We had service done and I felt the charge was high. I called 5 other heating and air companies and they were 20 to 25% less expensive for the exact same service. I called Acosta to ask if they could explain why their pricing was so different. The only response I got was It's the book price...nothing we can do about it. I wasn't expecting a discount or refund, but they couldn't even tell me why they charge as much as they do. Very disappointed.

Quentin and Chad performed installation of AC equipment at our house. They were courteous and professional. Called us to notify of their arrival, updated us with the status during the installation process and completed their work by the late afternoon. They did a great job getting the work done on a hot humid day.

I was introduced to this company through my Cotsco membership. Donavan Garrison, comfort rep was very detailed in his presentation. Their workers were respectable to my home and cleaned up behind themselves. I am very pleased with my dual unit. If you are looking for quality, professionalism and integrity then you should check them out.

I recently asked Acosta for a quote on a HVAC unit through COSTCO. Greg was the individual I worked with. He showed up on time was extremely polite, respectful to me and my home and was very professional. He took time to check out my home inside and in my crawl space. He spent a great deal of time going over everything he found and what needed to be done. He allowed me to ask several questions and ,answered them so it wasn't as if he was speaking another language. My only disappointment was they were MUCH more expensive then any other quote I had received.

Acosta H&C has the worst customer service in the world. They installed two new H&C in our home 2 years ago. Last week, during the heat wave, one of the A/C units stopped working. Keep in mind it's 100 degrees outside. I called & they said it would be a week before service. Three days later I called back & said they needed to do something. They said, sorry, but since we didn't have a service contract we went to the back of the non-service agreement line, too bad, so sad!, no exceptions! We called our neighbor who said they had an excellent H&C service company. I called them & they asked if the unit was completely not working & I said not working. They came out the same day. They said they give consideration to people who's unit is not working at all. Not my PREVIOUS service company who installed the units less than 2 yrs. ago. Caveat emptor!

Andy B came back to perform the six months scheduled maintenance on my new hybrid fuel heat pump with gas furnace plus check out second heat pump. The hybrid system is high tech and needed a few adjustments, but Andy took care of them in a few minutes. We continue to ask for Andy by name when we fall Acosta.

I have had a maintenance agreement with Acosta for the last 3 years and they have always been extremely responsive with same day service whenever there is an issue. This year has been particularly tough because my systems have reached the 10 year mark and one of my units needs to be replaced. They were very helpful explaining all of my options, why issues are occurring and how best to resolve them. They never pushed the most expensive options and were very consultive on how best to resolve my HVAC options. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to keep there systems running at top condition, well maintained, and last as long as possible.

Donavan treated me like family. He took the time to make sure I understood every step of the process. He was more concerned with me getting the most efficient system for my house instead of making the biggest sale. I got some quotes from some competitors and they were leading me to the most expensive unit with a weak explanation for why it was the best for my house.

Wonderful service and Aaron did a great job in checking out our furnace which is just a year old. Very concise and explained things well. The previous technician did not put the filter into the furnace and told us not to until the summer was off. Thought that was rather strange, and Aaron made sure the filter went in.

Teddy & Mark came out on the appointed date, performed the install and cleaned up the site afterwards. A very good experience done thoroughly and professionally.

From the first moment that we started inquiring of Acosta for our air condition needs, we were Very impress! Everyone that we encountered were very knowledgeable and kind. They were not pushey and they explained what was wrong with our unit, and told my husband and I, what could be done to correctthe problem. Greg answered all of our questions and took all the time that we needed to help us with all of our needs. We enjoyed having this gentleman in our home. Great sales staff...but not so great install techs. Purchased an $8k heating system and relocated my AC unit. Heat worked fine after install, but AC unit leaked out Freon due to poor soldering and the system wasn't pressure tested! 1). Tech came by and checked the AC unit and left the electric panel off the unit and the screws blew away and didn't fix the unit that day. 2). when the tech showed back up to repair, he pulled up in the driveway, went into my back yard and proceeded to work on the unit without letting me know he was there...not good these days! 3). Had to ask (3) times for carbon monoxide sensors. 4). Install work didn't pass inspecting...installed a drain pipe onto my driveway and didn't properly secure electrical cables. Note: If it wasn't for Kelly (sales person) I would have given the install an 0 stars!

John came on time and was polite and friendly. He moved his truck when I told him the new washer I ordered might be coming. He was careful to explain what he was doing as he worked - he knows his heating and cooling stuff and he is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan! He is a very capable guy.

Late Friday afternoon, newborn baby at home, and of course the AC goes on the fritz. I called Acosta and gave my info and Andy, one of their service techs, called me back within 15 minutes.I explained to him what was going on w/ the AC and he came over to see what was going on. Really nice guy. Wasn't here to up-sell and understood that it was Friday early evening and we had a week old baby in the house. He explained what the issues were and what was needed to fix it.3 hours later, we had AC again. It was an unexpected expense- but he made it as easy as possible. I'd recommend Acosta- and Andy- to friends and family!

Donavan Garrison, who is one of Acosta's Comfort Consultant, came to give me a proposal for a new Heating and Air System. I was very impressed at how professional he was, from his uniform to his knowledge and mannerism. If Donavan is an example of the employees at Acosta, then they have an amazing team!Besides Acosta, I did have 5 companies give estimated for the job. Acosta and one locally family owned business were the two companies that I finally had to make a decision over.It was very difficult because both companies were highly professional and had an excellent service record. Ultimately the decision came down to the brand of equipment that was being offered.I would highly recommend Acosta Heating and Air because they are one of the premier companies in the Charlotte area!

Our heater broke down a few weeks at night on one of the coldest nights of the year. I called Acosta at 7:30 am and they sent out Jeffrey who arrived at our home before 8:30 am. He had it fixed by noon. We are very satisfied with the work and prompt attention we received. Two days later there was an ice storm. We heard from others about Acosta and highly recommend them.We have an annual maintenance agreement which provides for twice yearly check-ups. The heating and a/c units are thoroughly checked which could help avoid a breakdown at an untimely moment.

Darren came out today to do the semi-annual check up on our system. He was very thorough as usual. He found an issue with the GPS (Global Plasma Solution, I had to look it up to remember exactly what it was or did), but Darren did explain that it was the air purifier part that we had added when the new furnace was installed. Anyway, it is finding issues like this that is a great reason to maintain a contract to have the system checked. We had paid for an add-on that was no longer working, but we would not have known without inspection. Darren took care of the maintenance review on both systems in good time, we chatted for a bit and he was on his way. Darren and Acosta are 5 stars all the way.

I thought I am having a cooling issue with a newly installed system from last September. Response was really quick and proactive communication related to the time the tech would come. The tech diagnosed the issue quickly - referigerant amount- that was based on September temperatures. Added more referigerant and showed me pictures of temperature of air coming out of vent to show the effect on cooling. All set know!

Andy B. came out to look at my furnace and found several shortcuts a previous HVAC company had taken and even though he is a supervisor, he took several unplanned hours out of his schedule to make sure everything was fixed and up and running. Haven't had this feeling of confidence in a service technician in a long time and it's a great feeling!

Eric was very professional. He introduced him self with a business card and put on the booties. :-) My husband was home so they could talk details about our in take and out take vents in the house. He provided us with suggestions to help keep our Trane unit in good working condition. I can't say enough kudos for Acosta because we also bought a Train AC unit from them. The best suggestion I can make is to get their MSA service account. I have total piece of mind knowing that they come out annually to look at our heating and cooling units.

Micah, is a great tech. Professional, on time and explained everything is was doing. He was outside working on our unit and smelled a gas odor coming from our gas meter. I called the gas company and at first they didn’t detect a leak. Micah, showed them where he found the leak. He was correct and I’m so glad he took the time to inform me and showed the gas company where it was located.

I did not have heat for 2 months. I had nothing but problems finding someone to deal with in a professional manner. A very cold period was coming & I was listening to the radio and heard Acosta Heating & Cooling's commercial. I immediately picked up the phone and was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism! From the person who answered the phone, to our Salesman Mark to the Installers Leroy & James. They didnt try to sell us anything we didnt need, they RETURNED phone calls and always treated us as a priority. I would definitely recommend ACOSTA Heating & Cooling! A very good experience in a tough time!!!

I called Acosta today, and the receptionist(Lauren is her name, I think) told me that because I was a new customer, I'd have to wait until after all the existing customers have been serviced. Never heard of a business turning away new customers. She didn't give me a timeframe as to when the next opening spot will be available either. When my AC is not working, and it's 80 degrees outside, I'm not going to use a company that has no sense of urgency to help their would-be customers.

I called Acosta and explained to them that I probably needed a new HVAC system and would like to have have a tech come out and give me a quote and to see if my unit could be fixed for a fair rate. I ended up getting billed $100 for 15 minutes of looking around and saying I needed a new unit, and didn't get a quote. I called the office, they said it would take a week to get someone out. So I spent $100 for nothing, and then had to replace my unit from another company because they couldn't come out. They told me they would send someone out to give me a quote, never did, instead a tech charged me $100 for telling me I need a new unit. That's not what I would call service

Paid $149 for a tune up in which the tech did nothing but remove the panel and tell me there was mold everythwere and that i need to replace the unit. Had a second opinion today, in which the tech told me that there was no mold and it was just dirt. Said system was running fine. Don't waste your money with Acosta's Tune up, they don't do anything but try to sell you a new unit.

As a Costco member, I called the number on the Costco advert “circular”, & Eric Acosta came today. He is a consummate professional. I’m a retired USAF Flight Surgeon & “I know one (a professional) when I see one”. He is very knowledgeable but started by actually asking questions ! It’s a family business & as a Costco vendor, I feel I’ll be treated “right”.Eric receives my highest recommendation.

I have a service agreement with Acosta and have had one since I bought my house 18 years ago. Small problems are identified before they become big problems. My energy costs remain low summer and winter. They installed a new unit for me when the old one had a cracked heat exchanger. When a problem arose they were quick to respond. I will renew my service agreement for the coming year as well

This was the worst experience I've had with any heating and cooling company. I've been doing business in this city for almost 20 years. All I asked is that they fix my air, my air still doesn't work and no one will call me back!!!The tech was fine, but their management teams sucks. Pros:0% 120mo financing through W.F. on top of the line systemPleasant/Professional staffReplaced both the GFCI & condensate pump after a handfull of faults that caused the system to shut downCons:Bait & switch on installed equipment, both furnace and humidifier came out not per contract, lesser value/capacity than expected on installed units.Sales team does not communicate with operations team, too many upsells that operations says cannot/should not be done.Install team hooked thermostat to an abandoned wire in the crawlspace and couldn't figure out why the system was unresponsive until I pointed out the error. The team additionally installed the system backwards (supply & returns reversed), couldn't trouble shoot the s30 thermostat, or boot the system.We are not pleased with the install. We do have a service contract with Acosta for 1 Yr maintenance and 10 Yr warranty on labor. I genuinely hope the service team operates differently than the install side of house.I do not recommend Acosta to replace your existing HVAC system.

That's why they get the two stars they did.But charging an a 1400% markup on Freon, ON TOP OF THE $118 service call, because you can, is a hell of a rip off. ($15 wholesale vs $208 retail)All for a making a profit but at some point its just gouging... because you can.

Unfortunately, due to an errant installition of a drain plug when the new AC was installed, my home incured significant water damage to the point that my kitchen ceiling caved in. I ended up with damage to 3 rooms in ceilings and walls. They have been quick to arrange for contractors to handle all of the repair work and expense, but it just created a huge mess and I cannot reccomend them given the situation.

Still finding things from August 7 service appointment by Shannon H. After visit, I had to clean up empty water bottle and other trash in attic by upstairs HVAC unit and put up our hose that was pulled across the yard to the outdoor HVAC units but not put back in place. Noticed today (Oct 14) that my missing hose nozzle was actually taken off and left behind the outdoor HVAC units. Also, the screws were not replaced in the inspection panel for one HVAC unit. The panel had blown with our recent winds. Good thing it did not blow away! Very poor clean-up by this technician makes me wonder about the actual service.

I have my whole system replace because it was very old (19 yrs)... Acosta gave me the best deal with low monthly payment ...and best part no interest.... I got so many estimates from others company but no one was close to Acosta prices....

HORRIBLE!!!!! They installed a unit that I paid 4500 for and a couple years later to find out they installed it incorrectly and it has been giving me issues with my air for these past 2 years. I’ve paid other people that showed they installed incorrectly and now they will not take responsibility for it. They wanted me to pay a “service call fee “ for them to come out to see THEIR mistake! After giving them a chance to fix it and spoke to the “manager” she laughed at me on the phone and said they won’t come out until I pay. This company is a rip off! I have pictures of what they did and because if their carelessness my unit is rusting. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!

The folks from Acosta were stand-up guys from Greg, the salesman, to Jamie the field supervisor, and the installers, right on up to the owner. we had two new air conditioners installed as well as new matching furnaces. the upstairs air conditioner was a new high end model the mfg had just launched and didn't seem to be functioning properly right out of the box. the mfg sent out its own tech, adjusted the system settings, but it still didn't seem like it was working quite right. The Acosta guys listened to us, came back out and sat in our upstair family room. they said it wasn't as comfortable as it should be, pulled the machine, and installed another one that worked like a champ. Acosta was more interested in customer satisfaction and doing the right thing than taking the easy way out. that is not something you see every day. great guys i would highly recommend. jb

THIS COMPANY's RATES/COSTS ARE VERY INFLATED!!! I called then for a no heat call last week and a tech came out promptly the same afternoon. The tech diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes and communicated that I needed a new igniter. He said it would cost about $325, plus the $95 service call. I asked him how much the part costs, thinking that it would be in the $200 range and that they would charge me another $95 per hour to install( it only takes 15 min tops ) . Well, he did not know the cost of the part, so I told him to go ahead trusting that the part is probably expensive. The temperature was also going down into the teens that night so we needed it fixed asap. Well, after the fact I researched the cost of the part and it costs $42. I asked the manager at ACOTSA how they get to a $421 bill for the change of a $42 part, and about an hour of labor. He explained that their labor rate is actually $200 per hour, so one $42 part and service call of $95 and $200 plus for an hour of labor??? I am still confused and feel very ripped off.

I have had quite a whirlwind with good ole Acosta Heating & Air, from when they installed a new heating & air unit in my home this past June. If it wasn't one thing occurring, it was another. Finally after having resolved all issues, I could enjoy the cool air. Fast forward to October 16th or 17th. The temperature was a little cool, thus I decided I would try this new heating system for the first time. Guess what? When I turn the system on, nothing happened. I kept the unit on all night and all night NO HEAT. A Mr. Traveres (I hope I spelled his name correctly) came to my home and lickety split, he went up in the attic, turned on some switch (A SWITCH THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TURNED ON WHEN THE INSTALLERS PUT THE UNIT IN) AND i WAS IN BUSINESS. Trying to connect with you for past 4 weeks....gave up because you were to busy twice.....one time no one even called me on day you were supposed to come.......your office called me early today and said they would give me a call after 1pm for a general time of arrival ......no one called from your office , then I get a call from Dominique (your tec) asking if I was home.....I was within 15 mins from being home......he said he had another call 10 minutes from me and that he would come right after that tune up service and assured me that that call would only take 10 or 15 minutes......I assured him that I would stay home until he arrived.......I called him an hour and a half later......no answer!......(that's what a cab company does.) had he let me know he wasn't coming I could have gone back on the road......I lost a $75 trip to the airport...... rather than let my customer down I sent some one else ......if I tell my customer I will be there, then i am there or i give that assignment to someone else who is on time......so there goes $75.....but in the end my customer was picked up on time as I promised (and I know that customer will keep calling my company) thats we here we differ!....I won't be calling you guys.......your completion will get my next call........

Purchased an ac unit from Acosta in 2011 a year later the blower fan went out although it was under warranty, they replaced the part for free but charged me 400.00 labor!!!!! Now today 8/29/2014 the same thing just happened, and the system is ONLY 3 years old. I will NEVER purchase anything from this company again, and I will definitely start spreading the word on the garbage they are selling off under the auspices of equipment. SAD!!!

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. THE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN HORRIBLE THE WORSE IN MY 30+ YEARS OF DEALING DIRECTLY WITH COMMERCIAL CONTRACTORS. THEY SHOULD HAVE INSTALLED OUR 3 HVAC SYSTEMS TO A COMMERCIAL BUILDING ON JULY 10, 2015. THEY NO SHOWED AND FAILED TO CALL US. I CALLED THEM AROUND NOON THAT DAY AND GOT OH YES WE HAVE TO COME ON JULY 14TH INSTEAD. THE 14TH COMES AND GUESS WHAT THEY STILL CANT GET THE WORK DONE BECAUSE THEY ORDERED THE WRONG SIZE UNIT FOR TWOE OF THEM,AND CANT FIND THE THERMOSTAT FOR ANOTHER OF THE UNITS!!! FINALLY DAYS LATER THE INSTALL STARTS.....FINALLY THEY ARE ALL IN AND RUNNING. ONE PROBLEM THEY LEFT A HUGE HOLE AND EXPOSED HAVAC UNIT IN THE CEILING OF OUR MEETING ROOM. THE MEETING ROOM IN RENTED NEXT WEEK, WILL THIS BE READY? THE ACOSTA TECH STATED YES WE WILL HAVE IT DONE. THE TECH STATED THIS TO MY TEAM AND TO THE GUEST THAT WAS RENTING THE SPACE NEXT WEEK FOR CLASSES. WELL ITS NOT READY AND TODAY WE HAVE HAD TO REFUND BACK $200 FOR EACH DAY ITS NOT COMPLETED.THE TECHNICAL CREW HAS BEEN ASSUME THEY FINALLY GOT THE WORK DONE HVACS ARE IN AND COOLING. GREG PLUNKETT THE SALES REP VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND HAS TREATED THIS ACCOUNT VERY BADLY. HE ACTUALLY HUNG UP ON MY THIS MORNING WHILE I WAS EXPLAINING YET ANOTHER BALL HE DROPPED.
