DeGrace Plumbing was very responsive and did great work! John and Anthony found a leak and repaired the pipe and installed a new shower faucet without having to repair any tile. Great job!

After having to evacuate our home due to carbon monoxide levels of >90, John Degrace P&H promptly fit us in for diagnostics within hours. They were able to diagnosis the problem as a collapsed chimney (PSE&G needs more training...!) immediately and were able to recommend a Chimney Co, who also squeezed us in within hours. Outstanding customer service....I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to call them again.

John and his guys are simply the best. I wouldn’t consider using anyone else. Best in the business!

Was supposed to do a camera inspection to determine why there was a sewer gas smell. Said Camara couldn't fit offered a very expensive solution and charged over 200 for no evidence. John is nice but I feel very cheated.

Amazing family owned & operated company. I needed a new sink. I spoke with Mr. DeGrace over the phone an within 1 hour he sent his son & another worker William who then installed a beautiful brand new faucet and spigot. The work was done within under an hour and it’s absolutely beautiful. The water pressure is very strong. I love it. His prices are very fair if not economical! I’ll never use another plumber again. I discovered a serious sewer line issue on a Saturday- John was the only one of five services I contacted who returned my call. After dealing with the immediate problem, the long term repair was challenging but John's crew was professional and timely.

Pump stopped working in basement called and within 2hrs they were done.excellent service

From start to finish John and his entire crew were absolutely professional and efficient. I needed a sewer trap removed and a check valve and guillotine placed in my basement for all the flooding I had been experiencing. I also needed a new slop sink and faucet for my washer and cabinets removed and dryer venting rerouted. John was great, he came to give me an estimate and was so knowledgable about what needed to be done. He took his time explaining exactly what he recommended doing and why and how much it would cost. Once I agreed to what I wanted to do we confirmed when his associates would arrive and they were here early!!! Talk about amazing customer service and just making sure that the client is satisfied and comfortable with the work that was performed. Outstanding service and the peace of mind knowing that a reliable and expertly trained staff were there to install everything properly. Cannot recommend them enough, if you need a great plumber then you know who to call!

A very old pipe in the wall under my sink was leaking.I called on a holiday. Next morning Mr DeGrace called me and had someone at my house in an hour.Replaced pipe and took away all the debris and left everything very neat and clean.Thankyou⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There was a flood issue in the home and she was physically incapable of turning off the water valve and had to call in the fire dept. for assistance. John DeGrace Plumbing & Heating installed a new steam boiler in my 125 year old brownstone house, and did expert work.This is not an inexpensive job -- removal of old boiler, replace near piping and install new unit, but I felt that DeGrace delivered and exceeded my expectation. He is not the typical get in get out contractor who is all too common these days; his two man crew took their time to get the installation right over several days. They kept the work area reasonably clean in the interim, and were careful in moving a 500 pound iron boiler block through my main living area into the lower level utility room.

I do a tedious amount of research and back checking materials and concepts before I undertake any project in my house. Another local contractor I met with did not even bother to ask about existing radiator sizes in the house, which is necessary to calculate the boiler BTU size. DeGrace did that work and recommended a smaller boiler compared to the one that failed after 20 years. He also noted an installation flaw from my description of the existing boiler configuration, before he even set foot in my house to see it. He suggested a solution, rather than putting the new boiler in the same way. In fact, when I checked his idea with the boiler manufacturer, their tech department told me to hire that guy because it's a really good idea.

John's master plumber, who did the work, was very amiable and answered all of my questions as the work progressed. He did a really solid install -- all by the manufacturer's specs -- even down to the small details of nice looking fitting connections, pipe braces and neat wiring. Even the town inspectors commented that the install really looked good. More importantly, the boiler system works better than before. His price for the work was in line with my expectation, but knowing what I know now, I would have hired him even if he was the high bid. These guys know steam.

John is great. Dependable and reliable. I know when I call him, the repair will be perfect. I have had wonderful experiences with his staff as well. I highly recommend them.

From start to finish my experience with John Degrace Plumbing and heating has been professional and exceptional. Finding a water heater that had broken and emptied all the water is difficult enough on a Saturday morning. With my first call, John responded quickly and kept me aware of the process and timing. His colleague Anthony showed up at the time he said he would and completed the replacement of the water heater with full explanations and kept the work area very clean. I would not hesitate to use them again, a true gem!!

We worked with John and his team previously a couple of years ago, when our heating furnace was not working. They analyzed the problem and resolved the issue, in timely. They explain the process and what happen to cause the furnace to not function problem. They did am excellent job, no issues with the heating since they fixed it. Awesome, highly recommend.

Had a leak in an old pipe that needed replacement. Cost of repair/timing was given from the start and no surprises at the end. Very professional and job completed perfectly. Had a real sense of comfort and trust when speaking with them about plumbing issues. They even unclogged a pipe that another large plumbing service company failed to do the previous week. We have always had a local plumber and had been looking for one since mine retired. It is a reassurance to have one company that can handle all plumbing needs including emergencies. Very pleased they were referred to me by a friend and will definitely refer them to others.

We had a leak in our old water heater and it needed to be replaced. We called John DeGrace and they sent someone expeditiously. Update: Saturday night, 6pm. We discover the drain in our laundry room sink is leaking. John DeGrace had a guy out to us in an hour and had everything fixed perfectly. Lifesavers.

Contacted them about installing a nest thermostat for a steam system that didn't have a c-wire and for regular annual maintenance on the boiler.

Despite how busy things are these days, John had a team over really quickly. They did great work, were very thorough, worked efficiently and also explained everything and gave us some good advice to boot.

Price was very reasonable.

John's team came in and diagnosed a big problem that I had since I purchased my home 10 years ago. I've had other plumbers come in unclog the drain then in a short amount of time have the same problem again. They never looked for the root cause. John's team listened to me and found the problem immediately. It was a big job for me but not for them. Cost was reasonable, work was done professionally and and on time. Always keeping me posted on the progress and showing me their work. I would highly recommend DeGrace Plumbing for big or small jobs.

I used them twice. Once to replace my water heater and the second was for a replacement of bathroom faucet. John is very professional over the phone. He answered all my questions. The workers that were sent over knew exactly what to do and were very professional.

Needed to replace old lead drain pipe for a second floor bathtub. DeGrace Plumbing knew exactly what to do. Tech was very thorough.

Had them come do some work about a month ago, they changed a piece on the gauge and it broke a month later. I called them up and they wanted more money to fix what they fixed a month ago. Also the worker had a little bit of an attitude. They’re pretty pricey, I’d call a few different people before doing business with them.

I had a slow leak from an upstairs bathroom into my kitchen. I was referred to John Degrace to fix the problem. The men spent three days on the repair. Each day they arrived on time, they working continuously and cleaned the work area very well. I am very happy with their work and would recommended them to anyone needing a plumber.

The original service was an emergency service on Saturday for a sewer backup. Billy came over quickly and had us back in service. He was very professional and answered all our questions.
We decided to do further work with the sewer and John was quick to response and again was very patient with answering our questions and making sure we knew what they were quoting to do. We proceeded with the work and it was done as expected.
