Earl's Plumbing & Drain Cleaning

We have been using Earl's Plumbing since Katrinia. They did tunneling under our home. We have used them several times since then They always do a good job. Some of the other projects they have done are fixing a running toilet, running a gas lie to a new stove; putting in new shower heads, installing a new gas hot water heater, and just recently installing new faucets in the kitchen and bar. They are pleasant and come on time.

I moved into a home and needed a gas valve installed in my laundry room and have my new dryer hooked up. The valve seems to work just fine, so I cannot complain there. However, the dryer wasn't getting hot and just spun clothes around. The two plumbers couldn't figure out why the dryer wasn't heating up and said to get another new dryer. After a month I received my second dryer, and the same issue was happening. I called another plumber, and he was able to diagnose the problem and fix it in less than ten minutes. Apparently, the valve from the laundry room to the outside was painted shut. Super simple fix and super dangerous to have a dryer running that wasn't properly ventilated. So I went over a month without a dryer because two plumbers couldn't be bothered to check a vent.
I also paid to have them check out a smell associated with my guest bathroom, and they couldn't tell me where it was coming from.

The job was expanded after the two plumbers started. When completed, I had concerns that were immediately addressed. All it took was a short note via email to the office. Management promptly visited and had the minor fixes done. Outcome: This customer is 100% satisfied. It's been 3 years. I am sold on Earl's Plumbing.

I wish I had taken before and after pictures to post of my garage/laundry area. A very competent plumber came out who removed my old water heater,utility tub, disconnected my washing machine and dryer and fixed the pipes behind the wall and put everything up to code. Beautiful, clean work! Very Professional! A few days later when the painter was finished, he, along with another very competent plumber, put in my new water heater and utility tub and reconnected my washing machine and dryer. Everything is working and looking great! I wish I had called them a long time ago. I have tried many plumbers in the past and had to settle for poor or less than average workmanship with a pretty penny to pay. For all they did with their expertise and efficiency I'd say what they charged was fair.

These guys were great. Called this morning after an extremely high water bill made me suspect a leak. Shelly was professional, responsive and managed to fit me in today.

The guys that showed up (unfortunately I failed to ask their names) found the leak and didn’t just repair it, they replaced the entire pipe. Took them a little over 2 hours

Now it did cost me $1,800, BUT it was well worth it to be treated so considerately and to have my problem fixed immediately. Plus, they had to dig up the front yard, which I’m fine with. Will most certainly use these guys in the future.

Having done business over the last several years with Earl's, I can only say what a professional organization they have. Their service reps are polite, detailed, and patient, while answering every question and addressing every concern. They provide estimates and quotes, and stick to what they said or promised. Easy to refer this company publicly!

Called to get an estimate, the guy didn't seem to want to talk. Need better customer service.

Unresponsive and and unprofessional!

I paid Earls Plumbing and Heating for a major, expensive plumbing renovation. The pipes were replaced in a reasonable amount of time, but the necessary backfilling was not completed according to any schedule I was given.

Multiple times I was given dates for Dave to complete the renovation, and not once did Dave or his team show up or call to inform me they would not be finishing nor starting the backill. Three separate dates I was given by the office staff, who supposedly worked with Dave to schedule the backfill completion; This went on for over a month.

I had frequent communication with Dave's office staff, Carli, and Tracie. Dave was and is never available.

When I called the office, Dave was never there. Dave never once communicated when the work would be complete and why it wasn't yet finished. Instead, I had to speak to Tracie and Carli. Tracie and Carli were somewhat sympathetic but could offer no explanations for the delays.

Dave and his team left an open trench going from my front lawn all the way under my house to the backyard, for months. I called consistently and often and still had to wait months for work I was told would be complete in a week.

I had to eventually leave town for a while, long after the completion dates I had been given. I still was calling the office frequently, at this point stressed and angry at the disregard for the renovation I paid for and until then had waited patiently.

I was given a completion date after many, many calls with the office (because Dave is unreachable, yet somehow lead the project manager on my house).

Finally, I could relax, right? Nope!

Dave and his team only filled the front yard! They left a deep ditch in my backyard that went under the house. My friend who was checking on the house only realized another month after Dave's team confidently told me the backfill was complete and demanded payment, so I ask for an explanation.

How could the Project Manager of a major renovation, who is also the creator of this massive trench, be so unaware of the unfilled ditch? Neither Tracie, Carli, nor Dave could/would offer an explanation.

My answer? They don't care, and they are not actually paying attention to the projects they take on.

I am extremely tempted to give a one star rating, but I would only give that if service was never finished.

I will NEVER use this company again, and honestly, I suggest you don't either.

Several months ago I used Earl's Jesse to remove a garbage disposal from under my sink and today Larry saved me several hundred dollars for a new toilet & it's installation. They are my plumbers because of their personnel's performance & parts availability.

I have used Earl's Plumbing as they are just great. Came when I needed them, did great job and always pleasant and the staff at the office is always helpful. I have recommended them on Facebook when people ask for help with plumbing problems. I thought I had one during the freeze and they were going to send someone out but then it turned out water was OK. Would not use anyone else.

I had my 17 year old water heater replaced on short notice. Ron came out and removed the old water heater from the attic and took it down many stairs (it was very heavy from years of sediment). When he installed the new water heater he did an excellent job. He was professional, tidy, and respectful of property. And it was no small job. Thanks guys!

They arrived on time( as a matter of fact ,a few minutes early).They were friendly and professional. They answered all our questions throughly, and in layman’s terms. Scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ahead of time for a Wednesday at 1pm. They called me after 1pm to tell me that 2 plumbers ahd not shown up that day and that they needed to reschedule. I rescheduled for the following Tuesday for after 1pm. They called a 1:54pm 3 times in a row, but I missed the call. I returned the call at 1:59pm and they said they had already sent the plumber to a different house. So now after taking 2 afternoons off of work I am looking for a more professional company.

Wonderful company-- Daniel and Bobby are especially great workers. I appreciate how they care not only for the home & plumbing, but take time to care for their customers.

I've used Earl's a couple of times over the last 10 years and have always been extremely satisfied. During the freeze last week, I thought I had a broken pipe as I only got red water out of my pipe and then nothing. I called Earl's and the young lady on the phone asked me to check out a couple of things and call her back. When I called back, she was able to let me know it was probably just rust that clogged the filters. So they didn't need to come out. Was able to take care of the problem myself...no charge for someone to come out. Glad I have Earl's number and won't hesitate to call for service in the future!

As a landlord working with many vendors this is one that I would keep working with.

Have had to call for a plumber twice since buying a home a year ago. Both times, Earl's sent a plumber out within an hour. The first time, a sink wouldn't drain. They replaced the drainpipes and took the old disposal out at my request and were done within 2 hours. The second time, the 20 year old water heater started leaking rusty water. Less than 3 hours later, they installed a new one, drilled a new drainage line, installed a pan and hauled off the old unit. Both times, the quoted price was fair and didn't change when the work was done. To my layman's eyes, the quality of the plumbing looks great. Thanks guys.

Excellent, on time, did the job!

On time and done professionally with friendly personnel - not the least expensive in the city, but certainly the best - have used Earl's for leaks, exterior faucet repairs and fixture installation.

Had to call Earl's for an emergency - I thought my water heater had died. They came out within a couple hours, and then not only did they determine that my heater only had an electrical issue and only charge for the service call, they also called an electrician they knew who then came and fixed the problem! So appreciative of their service, professionalism and integrity!

Earl’s Plumbing has excellent customer service. The staff who work in the office are always helpful. A few years ago, we had to replace the pipes under our house. There was another plumbing company who attempted the work and did a shoddy job. We called Earl’s for help and they fixed the other company’s mistakes and completed the work. They were fast with responding to my emails and phone calls and were able to come out in a timely manner to fix my issue. The guys they sent out explained everything in detail and were very nice. They cleaned up after themselves and was even able to save me money by fixing the problem in a different way then initially discussed. I would a hundred percent recommend them to anyone and would use them in the future if needed.

I have used Earl’s numerous times. First was to do a pipe inspection when we purchased our home. We have since used them to repair a hose bib, multiple drain cleanings, relocate ice maker shut off valve and relocate kitchen sink shut off valves. Whether it’s been an emergency request or scheduled visit, Earl’s has resolved all of our issues timely, professionally, and reasonably. Earl’s has become our “go to” plumbing company and highly recommend them.

I called to set up an appointment to have someone troubleshoot a toilet that is constantly clogged and install a new shower/bath set that would require cutting into the wall since it was a different brand than what is currently installed. I was very clear about this latter ask, and the person on the phone even specified to me that they could install this but would not replace the drywall/plaster which I said was fine. They put me on the schedule, with no specific time that day saying they would call 30 min before arriving. I got a call around 3 pm saying they would not be able to make it that day but we would be first the following morning. The next morning, they called me at 7:45 to say they would be there at 8. No one arrived until 8:45.

When the plumber arrived, he first looked at my toilet with the clogging issues. After fiddling with it he concluded that he had never seen a toilet like that and that it was not filling (which has never been an issue for us) and basically said there was nothing else he could do since the part he would normally replace was not removable - our only option was to replace the toilet entirely. I’m still unclear as to how that would resolve our clogging issues, but he also said it’s probably our pipes and replacing them would be $10-20k. So basically he got my bathroom all wet and left it that way, and someone got my toilet to stop filling.

As far as the shower goes, I had all the parts and pieces needed but he said a job like that was not built into his schedule and he was told it was a simple screw on a new shower head job. So a total miscommunication on Earl’s Plumbing’s end and I would have to reschedule yet again.

Long story short - I’m done working with this company. Luckily they didn’t charge me for not doing anything at my house but it was a total waste of my time and I won’t be making this mistake again.

Earl's had my leaky hot water heater replaced quickly. The two men who came out to replace it were professional, quick, and did a great job. They also installed the hot water heater to code, where my previous hot water heater was clearly a DIY job. I'll definitely call them for all my future plumbing needs.

Earl's Plumbing answered the phone and promptly scheduled a service call. Larry was our plumber from Earl's. He was outstanding. We had three plumbing problems in our house, and he fixed them all. He was kind enough to explain the problems and how he fixed them. The cost was appropriate and reasonable for the service. I strongly recommend this outfit, and these are my go to people from now on.

Called on a Monday for a leak in our bathroom sink. Got on the schedule for the following Wednesday. The leak got progressively worse. They fit me in within a couple of hours of calling on Tuesday. Almost immediately they were able to determine that it wasn't the sink at all but the AC condensate pan in the attic was overflowing. They quickly repaired it. They were professional and efficient. Highly recommend !

They fixed it and it's not leaking

I have used them in the past, and liked them. However, I recently had a minor leak I wanted them to give me a quote on and they wanted to charge me $45 just for an estimate! So, I called Roto Rooter who came the same day with a free estimate. I'll use only Roto Rooter from now on!

As an out of town landlord, Earl's Plumbing has saved the day more than once. I've used their services at least 4 times for a variety of leak repairs, drain stoppages, and under slab pipe repairs in a century old house. Worst nightmare using this company. Plumber came out to do under slab camera and diagrammed me the problem. I told him Roto Rooter show me a different diagram. Anyway, I hired them based upon my insurance adjuster recommendation, and after the 1st dig was told they needed to dig a 2nd hole under the slab for an additional $3600. A different plumber came and did repairs from the 2nd dig and I asked him why he did not use 1st dig and was told their original diagram was wrong. That My pipe was not at 90 degree, but a 45 degree pipe. And I had to pay an additional $3600 because of the degree of the pipe?? Then I was told they needed to camera my wash room and kitchen pipes and pay another $11,000 to repair these pipes. I immediately declined this offer. Roto Rooter did not mentioned any additional pipes needing fixing, nor did Earl's plumbing when they 1st did the estimate. Will never use again. Hidden price Rip off scam.

They came through when everything was broken. I am so happy to have their number on my fridge.

The contact form on Earl’s website allowed me to enter specifics about my water heater. When Jordan came out, he was prepared with everything he needed to replace the water heater! Didn’t even have to run back to the shop for anything - and he had to change the vent pipe as well as the 18” stand. Very professional work, everything cleaned up after he was done, Jordan did a great job for us!

I found the Company’s information listed on Rheem’s Website under “Service Providers”, so I called to inquire about getting my hot water heater repaired. The woman I spoke with was beyond rude. She cut me off mid sentence to say, “Ummmm, We’re NOT going to work on a hot water heater we didn’t install.” (Which is perfectly understandable. Her Abrasiveness was not.) I don’t think I’ll be seeking services here again.

I called late one afternoon to get a toilet and a zink fixed. I thought I would have a week or so to wait. They came at 7:30A.M. The next morning. The plumber they sent over was awesome. He was polite, honest and very professional. He did a great job. I was very impressed. I will definitely use Earl's Plumbing again😀😀😀 P. S. The price was very reasonable..

Earl's i want to thank you for the fast response time. Ron is a great guy to meet and helped us out. We called on the Sat. before Labor Day our tub had a problem water wouldn't shut off. Ron called us back and came over to fix it for the time. We had to get a new faucet set because it was to old. On Friday we had Ron from Earl's plumbing come back to put in our new faucet set in. he got right on the job finished the job with no problems. it works great by the way thanks Ron i'm sure we will be calling Earl's again when we need you all !

We had an emergency last week where sewer water was backing up and overflowing from tubs and toilets all throughout the house. Our regular plumber was unable to accommodate us and I called Earl's. They were here in less than 15 minutes and corrected the problem. The bill was also very reasonable even though they were here for at least two hours. Needless to say, we will call Earl's for any future plumbing needs. Thanks!

Earl's Plumbing replaced the old & broken pipes under my house slab. When they were finished, they cleaned up all their mess and you couldn't even tell that they were there. After a few weeks, I noticed that some of the fill around the hole they dug was starting to sink and they came back and fixed the problem.

I've been using Earl's for years. Their plumbers are courteous. They are upfront about the cost of the service before they start a job; there are no hidden costs. The job is always completed to specification and they cleanup any mess they make before they leave. They always leave me in awe as to their knowledge of what they are doing and the efficiency and speed with which they complete all plumbing related tasks. Earl's will always be my 'go to place' for all of my plumbing needs.

Short waiting time from my call to their arrival for a clogged sink. The two technicians were great. They took their time, let me know how it was going every step of the way. And surprisingly affordable. I used Earl's for another situation a few weeks ago and the technician had the same calm, assuring and ongoing informational attitude. Kinda like patting us on the head and telling us Don't worry, everything is gonna be ok. We'll fix it. Very important. Plumbing issues are always stressful. I've used them several times and have been completely satisfied. They dug out and replaced a toilet drain, replaced kitchen faucet, and replaced faucet in garage. They came quickly, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves. Very courteous. Like all plumbers, they weren't cheap, but I feel I got good value for my money. I'd have no hesitation in recommending them to a friend.
