Great experience. A-1 worked around a complicated schedule, all the customer service was excellent. Then the technician sent out was friendly and efficient. I will definitely use them again in the future.
Had a wide window, but the office called to say when the plumber was on the way. The plumber did as requested, checked a few things, and left a nice explanation of things to look for in future.
They are my go to Plumber. Always professional and upfront about all costs. Good value always!

Bob from A-1 Budget Plumbing arrived promptly on short notice and efficiently removed our old water heater and replaced it with a new one. His work was exceptional. It was evident that he is experienced and very competent. And at a very fair and great price.12-15-22We were lucky to have Bob return to scope our 4” PVC drainage pipe which wasn’t draining during heavy rains. He figured out that the drain wasn’t draining the gutters as I had thought but was draining ground drains in the yard which were clogged. He cleared the drains and ran water through to make sure they were clear! Save me $250 by not having to have the drain scoped for blockage.

The plumber arrived from A1. He complained that we should've cleaned the floor before he got here. The floor wasn't wet until he flushed the toilet, overflowing the toilet and wetting the floor. We'd already told him the toilet was blocked. He was just complaining the whole time and didn't want to do the job. I called the company to complain and then he left. Poor service, unprofessional, didn't do the work.

I live in a condo. I sent photos of the dripping faucet and arranged for a water shut off for the day of the appointment. Paul showed up. He went to his truck and came back and said that the parts department didn’t load the parts. So we arranged another appointment and another water shut off. They were supposed to come between 9-12. At 11 I called the office and said the water shut off is only until 12. Naomi said she would call me back. When she called me back she said that the plumber wouldn’t be coming because he didn’t have the tools. I said you’re a plumbing company how can the plumber not have the tools to fix a dripping faucet? She asked if I would like the manager to call me and I said yes. I haven’t heard from the manager yet. If I could give a negative rating, I would. To make matters worse, my next door neighbor scheduled with them for the same times to minimize the water shut offs. They came to her unit twice and didn’t show up the third time.

Josh was prompt! Gave us detailed account of our leak issue. Fixed the leaking pipe between the upstairs and downstairs. (Difficult access in the ceiling) also fixed the flap valve on the toilet!! Terrible! After the job was finished there was a long Crack thru my toilet tank.
Worker was respectful, courteous and worked fast. He was able to clear the drain fairly quickly and he even filled the tub to show me the drain was clear. This was a great experience and I'm thankful they were able to dispatch someone quickly.

A-1 Budget Plumbing takes the guesswork out of plumbing costs with a flat hourly rate on top of their service fee. They are professional and come prepared with the hardware you need. However, you may choose to supply your own hardware (to further control costs). Overall, it was a 5 star experience, and we would recommend A-1 Budget Plumbing to our closest friends and family!

When I called my building mgr for service, he referred me to A-1Budget Plumbing...I called and asked for service to replace my toilet and asked for a quote and was told $530.00...My bill came to $846.+ and when I asked why it was more than $300.00 the service person said it was because of extra labor involved...He was a nice guy, but felt I was totally milked on the time...I've had new installation before and didn't take as long as this one did...Would not call them again or refer them to anyone...Sorry, just a bit much!!!

Parts replaced and line is repaired. Pedestal sink installation? Buggah is solid and looks good too. Leaky toilet? Now, no more leaks. Evan did it all! My family, roommates, and I are grateful to have A-1 Budget Pluming helping us out. Mahalo to Evan and the office crew (Rochelle, Lily, and Pua) for all our pluming needs. Professional, experienced, no-nonsense, diligent, and won't quit until they find and fix the problem and it's done right! Standard rates, and worth every penny to me! We had problems with two toilets over the last year -- they came and fixed the first, doing all kinds of needed investigative work and some intuitive stuff too -- I inspected all the bad, deteriorating parts (the toilet was new, but the original installer did not do a very good job) and confirmed what they were saying. The toilet no longer leaks and the bad odor is gone as well. The second bathroom started to have an odor and so we figured the same problem (from the original install) was the cause --so we called A-1Budget again (Bob is great and so is Cruz!) and they finished up in a timely and professional manner -- keeping me posted on each thing they found and what the fix would be, etc. I'll use them again, for any plumbing problem or question. Highly recommend!

Stephen was incredibly knowledgeable, showed up early ( let’s be honest, what technician or repair guy ever shows up earlier than their appointed time) also the fact that they gave me a set time not an approximate somewhere inbetween 1pm till next Thursday. They fixed my problem quickly and painlessly. They were absolutely incredible and such a great deal. Will use them again in a heartbeat.
The building had short time for shut off and the plumber was able to adjust his schedule to do the work. Plumber was very knowledgeable and did a great job changing valves I recommend them and will recommend them to others.
Toilet and showers in multiple rooms were backed up. Gave A-1 a call and they were able to see me the same day. Technician was friendly and professional. They were able to clear everything within an hour. Would recommend using them again should another issue arise.

I called A1 Budget Plumbing with an urgent problem of a clogged toilet and tub, and spoke to Rochelle who was friendly and sympathetic. She squeezed me in, on a Saturday no less, and called me when the plumber was on his way. The plumber Lloyd quickly assessed the problem and communicated with me about what he was doing. He was knowledgeable and advised us on how to do things in the future. He was done in less than an hour. Two days prior to this clog, Steve’s Plumbing “fixed” the clog and when we called them with the same problem, they didn’t make us a priority despite paying an arm and a leg, and wanted us to wait two more days for a plumber! A1 is the only company I will do business with in the future. Thank you again, Rochelle and Lloyd!

Reasonable hourly rate, but not by that much and plumber worked slow. To explain, work was completed at my condo by A1, but the older very local gentleman took several tries to complete one job (not labor intensive at all) for a supply line. Wasted a lot of time futting around trying to complete the job one way until he finally decided to complete the job the proper way. Ended up taking twice as long and was charged twice as much than if the guy took the proper steps and did not try to cut a corner in the first place! Honestly, I felt like he was stalling just to add time to the labor cost so not a good feeling especially when he’s supposed to be a professional plumber and know his trade. ALSO, there was a very local office lady that did not seem to care either when I reported this issue to her. Would not personally recommend A-1 Budget Plumbing anymore in 2019. Just because they are reasonable prices, does not give them the right to take twice as long. ***big sigh***

I purchased a new toilet from this company and was charged for almost 2 hours of labor. I watched as there was a struggle with the cutting and fitting of the left side closet bolt.They were aware that the toilet was not going to be in use til the flooring below was repaired. The call to replace the faulty closet bolt could have easily been corrected if I had been given a $3-4 bolt without installing as the tech knew the non functioning toilet would be lifted again due to the floor repair.Instead he immediately laid blame on the tech that lifted the toilet after. If they wanted my continued business, the price of a closet bolt would have been a minimal price to pay.I will never use this company and I am warning others to be careful when they choose companies that send inexperienced techs.

I use A1 budget because they always answer the phone even on the weekends and will do ALL jobs no matter how small they are. I called today because we were having a party and something went wrong with the toilet. Manu happened to be the service tech in the area and he arrived, removed shoes and got straight to work. Listened, fixed and answered my questions clearly and cleaned up when he was done. So glad I was able to get it fixed before the first guest arrived!! Thanks A1 budget!

Chris was stuck in traffic but called and told us of the delay. He went to the kitchen sink, made his diagnosis and went and got his parts and was done in under 30 minutes. He was friendly, respectful and cleaned up after himself. It costs about as much as we expected so we still have our arms and legs! Thanks and I will recommend them for your plumbing needs!
I was very impressed with their service and professionalism. We had a water heater leak and we were told by our property managers to expect them between 12p-4p, however, they arrived promptly at 12.Before even arriving, they called to ask questions about our water heater so that they could have a replacement ready as soon as they got here. One man arrived and got to work removing the old heater while the other man picked up the replacement and got it here, right as the removal was finished. They were very friendly and efficient, and they even took the time to inspect noises from the pipes that had been bothering us. I would definitely use them again and I highly recommend them.

Had a leak in the main water line. I found the leak and dug the clearing for the work. I have used A-1 Budget Plumbing for a wide variety of plumbing jobs for many years. My experiences have always been 100% positive. Every technician they have sent to my home has been polite, professional, and competent. Same for the office staff when I call for appointments. I like that they email the invoice for my records, which saves me having to scan a hard copy.
Came home from dinner to backed up kitchen sink. I called A-1 budget plumbing as soon as I woke up the next morning. The person who took my call was friendly, informative and accommodating. Got a call an hour before their scheduled arrival letting me know that they're early, yay! The plumber was professional and clean. Did the job quickly and gave me some tips to help prevent clogs in the future. Definitely recommend.

Kitchen pipe was clogged below the disposal. A1, whom I have used multiple times in the past, came by within a few hours and within the time they said they would come, and did their usual excellent service. Evan came prepared. He listened and when he found the source of the leak he explained and demonstrated. The rating is for the way they charge the customer hiding fees like a travel time of 15 extra minutes added to your final bill, to the charging from the moment they park the van and bill you for the time they spend getting ready to perform the job. All in all an extra 28 minutes at $190 an hour (for 2 technician) without even moving a finger in my apartment. When informed of the price by the person answering the phone I was not told about any of this, very bad way to rip people off.The technician were actually VERY NICE, PROFESSIONAL, AND CARING of their job, too bad they have to do so for a shady practicing company

Several months ago I called A-1 Budget to repair a clogged shower. Upon inspection I was asked about our pipes and I replied that copper pipes had been installed approximately 10 years ago. Inspection under the house revealed that less than half of the pipes were copper! The galvanized pipes were replaced by A1. The workers were industrious as well as neat and courteous. Their professionalism and courtesy turned a sour, duped feeling into a positive experience. And yes, this time I peeked under the house. Yesterday I called A1 again to repair a bathroom faucet. There were no surprises.

First the positive, I called A-1 Budget plumbing and I was able to get a next day appointment. Plumber arrived on time. They fixed what I asked for, plus a small extra request. The fill valve on my toilet was replaced.The negative, I asked the plumber when he finished the job for a receipt or invoice for the work. He said he would email it. I gave my email address. I called their office later that day to ask about getting a receipt for the work, since the plumber hadn't emailed me. They promised they would email me right away. Waited a few days, nothing. Called office again today, left email address. I was told their accounting department will email me.Plumber left trash on curb outside my restaurant after finishing the job. I was charged over $600 to fix two leaking sinks, a handwashing sink and a three compartment sink. He had to leave the jobsite to buy more parts. I think they billed me for the time he spent driving to the parts store. I've been messaged twice to write a review. So here's my review, I wouldn't use A-1 Budget plumbing again or recommend them to others. No transparency, in billing.

The plumber was patient answering all our questions and repaired the kitchen faucet lever and replaced the outdoor faucet. He was very friendly and efficient.
My tub, toilet and bathroom sink was backed up. Called their office and they were able to send someone within the time we requested. Plumber was very professional and knowledgeable. Took care of the problem and let me know what things I should avoid using. I am more than satisfied with the service I received today and will refer them to others.
The plumber came on-time, accessed the problem and completed the job in an efficient manner. Of course will use again.

My water supply faucet for my refrigerator broke and started leaking water everywhere when I was installing a new refrigerator Saturday morning. I called basically for a big job which I told the person on the phone. She sent over a regular plumber not an estimator. This person did not know much concerning what it would cost or what needed to be done.. He needed to call the guy that should have came out.. He gave me a price saying might be more might be less and I was letting him know how I thought it might get routed.. Anyway to make a long story short he gave me a quote and asked for 141.00.. For what? Oh for the estimate.. I could not believe this.. I have used a1 budget in the past and they've always been fair.. This is tripping over pennies when your going for dollars... This would have probably been between a 3 and 4 thousand dollar job.. But I won't ever use them now.. So I paid 141.00 for absolutely nothing

Our landlord contacted the company and footed the bill so can’t speak to that portion - but they were very kind and accommodating with their scheduling. I appreciated the text reminders and ability to text to schedule our apt. Gave us a large window for service (9-2) and let us know right around 9 that someone was on their way to our home. They were fast and quick to diagnose and recommend action. Our 20yr old toilet had kicked the bucket and they were honest in us needing a new one vs doing expensive repairs constantly. Mahalo!

We hired A-1 Budget Plumbing of Kailua HI to install two drains for new shower installs. They came on 8/2 at 1:20 though they were scheduled between 9-1. They spent 3 hours though didn’t water test the drain for leaks. It did leak but they could not return for several days. They told us the work was guaranteed. When they returned they confirmed the leak and said they needed to order a part that was missing. This apparently was their only guarantee. They returned a few days later, 8/11, with the part and completely redid their work and billed us for that day too. We called the manager, Mathew, who explained he felt all the charges and services were legitimate. He said the fault was ours for not having all the proper parts on hand. We felt that could’ve been brought up on 8/2 during the first visit. He offered no explanation or sincere apology for the unexpected extra cost and time delay. We tried the services of A-1 Budget Plumbing for the first and final time. The manager could have listened and accepted that mistakes were made which would have improved our opinion of this company.

The customer service rep I had in the billing department was full of attitude and repeated my email address with intended aggravation; most places with good customer service will repeat such info for accuracy but I had to ASK her to repeat it to make sure she got it correct. Hawaii in general needs to work on customer service. There is a noticeable hurry up, you're bothering me kind of attitude when it comes to servicing clients here. I would hope A1 Budget Plumbing would focus more attention to their service department for overall customer satisfaction. Overall their plumbing technicians were pretty good.

Had a situation of stopping a water leakage into the bottom unit, contacted a plumber to rectify the situation where he arrived mid morning which he just inspected the problem, no work done? So contacted A1Budget Plumbing which clearly stated arrival time 3 to 6pm. The personal called & says plumbing tech on the way, time was 405pm. The plumber Lyold arrived @ 430pm. Immediately Lyold went to rectify the issue, change the toilet seal. Lyold completed the task little over 1hr. If I had contacted A1 plumbing at first, then the whole afternoon would utilize better. The receptionist to Lyold service ratting is an 10. Will utilize their service in the future!
Plumbers were knowledgeable about my water heater issues, answered all my questions, and knew what part was most likely bad before showing up and had it on hand for a speedy installation.

I lucked out in getting an appointment the same day I called because the plumber was already working on another unit in my condo. So their responsiveness was amazing.My garbage disposal hadn’t been working for weeks. I figured it needed replacing because I was pulling out rusted metal pieces from within it. When Albert came to take a look at it, he inspected it first to make sure it couldn’t be fixed. I appreciate that he didn’t just try to sell me a new one and take advantage of me. He was able to replace it right away and made sure I had everything in order. Albert was very informative and kept asking me if I had any questions for him, which I had a ton regarding other plumbing issues. A1 Budget plumbing told me the charge would be $95/hr plus material. They changed out our water shut off valve that I already exposed for them and they charged me $312 for an hour and a half of work. Then when I questioned them they said they sent out a helper as well at $65/hr. First off, they never told me about sending additional helpers for additional charges. Secondly, I just had another plumber come out to work on the same line, adding in a new water spout which was a bigger job and it only took this single professional plumber 1hr. Finally, my daughter who was home at the time watching them from inside the house told me they were sitting in the truck for a while when they must have been running the extra time. I wouldn't use a company that tries to slip in additional fees without informing you!

Once again highly impressed with A-1! Called on Sunday afternoon with emergency bathroom clogged sink -- Initially I was gonna use another company specializing in rotor rootering but I saw it was a $400 flat rate, then remembered I used A-1 in the past and they were so awesome and affordable I'd see if they would be able to help. Damn glad I did! They got someone out in 30min, and he fixed the problem in less than 30min (BTW my very handy husband spent hours snaking, and drano, etc. Since last night trying to fix this but nothing) oh my gosh A-1 is so awesome!! I totally forgot to get our plumber's name but he even gave me a lot of advice on some other stuff (our kids use flushable wipes and we have an old toilet not good for such things in case they flush them for example.) Oh one more thing? I saved $200 bucks I woulda had to spend extra if I went with the other company, and I bet they woulda charged me even more for other B.S. I am so happy and if we ever need a plumber again I will always be using and recommending A-1 for sure.

We received a courtesy text day before appointment and then day of. A courtesy call when tech was on their way. Came in, listened to what we had to say, assessed and gave us feed back on what the problem was and what he was going to do to remedy the situation. Went to his van for supplies, came back in, worked on problem and let us know when he was done. Also gave suggestion on possible future problems due to old toilet. Had a bathroom sink clog that I tried snaking myself and added liquid plumber. When that failed I called A1 Plumbing, which we had used before with satisfaction. I called just before 1 p.m. and Jeremy arrived just before 3 p.m. and had the problem corrected in about a half hour for an approximately $170 charge. I’d recommend them for similar problems.
They went above and beyond to fix our leak and make sure all of the drains were working in our new rental. I would definitely recommend.
Service repairman was earlier than quoted. Checked out the clogged bathroom drain, remove and inserted snake to clear clogged pipe, very polite and clean up area before leaving, very courteous and friendly

My third wonderful experience with A-1 Plumbing in Kaneohe made my month! Their technician Lloyd was not only efficient and thorough, he was a great example of someone who loves what he does. That is, helping people. You could tell he saw beyond the task and his priority was to make sure our concerns were addressed. Fixed bathroom sink. It was clogged up very badly and he fixed in about 10 minutes. Very courteous and fixed clogging problem really fast. Very good service. Costomer service representative was nice and very helpful over the phone. Plumber came out to repair our leaking bathroom faucet the same day about an hour after speaking with a representative. Repair and replacement of fixtures took about an 1 1/2 and he was all done. The plumber was very nice and informative, he really new his stuff.Today 4/2/2023 it's a Sunday morning and the sun had just come up. My bathroom was clogged up and would fill in shower.The plumber had to unclog something that was stuck in the main pipe to sewer. He got it flowing, the object was unknown and was not pulled out. Instead it went right down through to the sewer.

They gave me a window of 8am-1pm, but arrived at 8am sharp. They were fast and only took about 30 min to complete the job. My only slight issue was, I was charged for a minimum of 1 hour of work for a 30 min job. Too bad they cant just prorate it. Times are hard and every penny helps, especially in Hawaii. The other thing was, they couldn't really identify the cause of the clog. There was debris in the pipe, but they weren't sure if the clog was from that or something else. But all in all they did take care of the clog, which is what the issue was, so I would say they still did a great job.

I tried to remove single handle shower cartridge that was dripping. Cartridge stem broke from cartridge casing in pipe. I needed plumber immediately since me and my neighbor shared same water shutoff value. Called A-1 and plumber Bill arrived in about 20 minutes. Cartridge casing removed using a special tool. I had bought a third party Danco Moen compatible cartridge. It did not fit right and was difficult to remove but was finally removed in pieces. Plumber Bill installed new original Moen cartridge that he already had on hand. Test was successful. I thought the price of the service was of good value for about 1.5 hours of work.

WOW - I can't believe how fast and clean they were. AWESOME. We can always count on them to do a fantastic job.
Absolutely terrible at their job. Had them come out to look at my yard and not only did they get the diagnosis wrong (they said there was a leak when no leak existed), they charged me for 4 hours of work while doing absolutely nothing! Keep in mind, the patch of lawn they spent 4 hours looking at is about 100ft pong by 10ft wide. So, there are two options here, 1.) they charged me to drive from Kailua to Kapolei, or 2.) they have no idea how to do plumbing. Ask yourself if you want to hire a company like that?If you want a competent plumber with fair prices, that actually does work, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

Plumber was prompt, same day service, looked at the water leak from the toilet tank and explained the problem, risks of fixing the leakage with rust in flooring bolts to flange and long-term problems. Leak fixed in 1-1/2 hours. We live in the upper townhome and there is an impact to the lower unit-tenants below. He fixed the leak that was major damage from a small leak from the second floor into the ceiling of the first floor. Although I had to wait 4 days, A plumber did show and fixed the leak and I am very much relieved. I have been with them for a ten years or more.
I am in Waikiki area and Technician came the day I called.
Problem resolved within an hour and he left with very professional manner. I didn’t ask to take his shoes off but he did. Thumbs up 👍

This is the third time using A-1. They have been able to schedule within a day or two when urgent. Evan and the other plumbers have all been efficient, professional, cleaned up the work area after and kept us informed throughout the repair process. Fee has been reasonable. When Bill arrived we found that the water had been turned off due our formr tenants not paying the bill. Because of this he couldn't do the work. We were charged $212 for time alone.Once the water is on I would request Bill again as he lives in Makaha. I would also request that he comes from Makaha to save time & keep our cost down.Please let me know if that will be possible. Paying over $200 for the travel time from town to Waianae makes this very expensive.

I called A1 at 8am because our kitchen sink was. ot draining. They said they could have someone out between 12-5 the same day! at 11:59 someone pulled into my driveway, I was super impressed with the promptness, professionalism, and amazing work that they provided. Manu (I think) took the snake down all the way to the street, over 60 feet just to make sure it was all clear. My husband tried and only made it 20 feet. Super happy customer here! I am so happy to have a plumber I can trust. If you ate looking for a company with a fair and great price, call A1!

I've been using A1 budget plumbing for over a decade! They're always on time, always professional and always knowledgeable. Don't let the name fool you, budget = professional quality work for reasonable pricing. I've never had a problem they couldn't fix! Most recently installed a new water heater in a high rise condo. Technician Bob came over, wrestled the old water heater out and installed a brand new one in about an hour! Highly recommended. Thanks A1!!

Scheduled a garbage disposal repair over the weekend for Tuesday afternoon. I waited 4 hours, and the plumber did not show up. I received no notification or warning from the company. I was told I would only need to wait 3 hours when I made the appointment. Although they are listed as 24 hours, the phone line does not go through to a dispatcher but rather a call center. Strangely, the call center does not contact the plumbers directly. When I spoke to the call center representative Eli, his only response was to send a message to management and that if the plumber did not arrive 4 hours then he/she was not coming.He, himself, was surprised the plumber did not arrive within the specificed 3 - 6 pm range scheduled for my repair service. As a busy military service member, I do not appreciate receiving poor customer service and having my time wasted. I had to leave work early to be there for the plumber, and he was a NO SHOW. UNACCEPTABLE! The plumbers do work on the weekends but charge extra. While A-1 Budget plumbing may be good in other places, I would NOT recomend A-1 Budget Plumbing in Hawaii.

Bill was The Man, today. Happilly, he arrived much earlier than expected, and thanks to a heads-up text from the office, we were not caught off guard. As all the A-1 technicians we've been fortunate to meet, he was friendly and got right to the job. In short order the job was finished, he answered our questions and was on his way. Ugh, we have used this business for 15 years but I guess their owner retired two years ago.Now they can’t keep the simplest thing straight they overbooked guys, and after waiting 6 hours some exhausted incompetent person arrived at my house at 5:30 without the snake camera I needed him to have to look into the pipe wall of a condominium and just for fun He seem to be very misogynistic insulted his office crew and wouldn’t talk to me until my husband got home and tried to straighten things out the worst
When I woke up to a garage full of water, I immediately Googled emergency plumber Kailua and called the first number that popped up. Luckily, it was A-1! They were able to schedule a technician for that afternoon and he was amazing! He assessed the situation immediately and when he determined that he was personally unable to fix the problem, he called his office and facilitated the scheduling of a specialist for the same day! By dinner time, my leak was fixed and I had running water again. The technicians were professional, personable, and transparent. I also really respect the fact that, even though they bill by the hour, both technicians worked VERY quickly. I was so incredibly pleased with my experience and will absolutely be using A-1 in the future.

Technician was very professional, worked quickly and taught us how to use a garbage disposal which we had been using incorrectly for 60 yrs. Used them again to replace a water heater. Will continue to ise them as my primary plumber.
Service person was rude and confrontational. Flew off the handle when asked to wait a few minutes even though it was 30 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time. Threatened to walk off the job and continued to complain about the issue while still on property.
I trust the A-1 business and will not call anyone else. I can resolve small issues, know where my clean outs in my home are placed. My 25’ auger was too short to solve a sewage issue.No problem. Call A-1. Super Great dispatch professionals!🥰A well-equipped pro with 175lb aguger showed at my residential home.Toto, Delta, & Rudd etc aren’t the cheapest brands up front, but as a residential homeowner A-1 is the bomb.Don’t forget to be proactive with main water cutoff, pressure regulators and modernizing cutoff valves.It’s like owning a phone or a car. There was a slow leak appearing near adjoining wall with next unit. It was near my dining table. I could not identify source. Plumber checked our toilets and tub and determined leak was not from there. He was sure it was from the neighbor’s unit. Rather than tear open my walls just to discover it was from the neighbors, we went next door and asked to check their water heater. He was right!! Slow leak coming from their water heater. I am so glad he was so knowledgeable!

Andrew was extremely professional and more than willing to go the extra mile. He installed and cleaned up the connection for the ice machine. Lowes delivery men may have provided us with the wrong info (valve), said could not set up or haul away and left refrigerator in our garage.Andrew added a valve which actually was redundant but followed what lowes men said to do so we won't have a problem with the 2nd scheduled setup. Aloha…Paul (plumber) did an awesome job with my plumbing (toilet repair, faucets and shower head replacement, sink and counter refurbishment). In addition, Paul was friendly, courteous, easy to talk with, and conscientious! Mahalo A-1 for your time and consideration.
Pluming job took an hour, actually 50 minutes to complete. I provided part and the plumber used his parts, brass turn valves. He charged me $165 for labor and $90 for parts. The valve price approximately $20-30 at Home Depot. He cabaret me total $275 for shower faucet replacement. This is insane and ridiculous.I will never call them again. Even affordable handy man could do this job because this was not complete cared at all. My mistake was that -A1 plumbing was affordable. Do not call them if you are not rich.

Called to have them disconnect a gas dryer and cap the line. Requested a quote to move a small sink in laundry room. They sent two plumbers, worked 10-minutes and charged me $150.00 cash. Then they told me to move the small sink would take 2 to 2-1/2 hours, but they would have to come back. After I paid them the $150.00 for 10-minutes of work, the two plumbers changed their mind and told me they would do the sink right then. I asked them if the first bill for $150.00 would be included in the total bill. They said yes. After two hours work they handed me another bill for $1,124.00, bringing the total bill to $1,274.00 for for 2-hours work. I am a 70-year-old senior citizen on a fixed income and A-1 ripped me off. They have no honor, they lied to me and they overcharged. Never ever use these creeps.

My toilet was leaking due to a corroded gasket. Evan the technician did a fantastic job on replacing the gasket and water shutoff valves. This guy was super nice and let me know what was needed to be done. I will definitely use A-1 Budget Plumbing again. Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for this company.

I strongly urge anyone seeking out a plumber to pass this option up. I was experiencing issues with my shower drain pooling and reached out to A-1 because they were what I thought was the best overall option. I was wrong, when the plumber got to my apartment I informed him that I had tried to snake the drain and ran into a block that I believed was not just hair. Despite me telling him this on the front end, he assured me that it was just hair and I paid him $150 for his 20 minutes of rushed work. In his reports he claimed that he ran a 10 ft snake and the only blockage was hair 3 ft deep. Two days after the snaking of the drain I started to experience pooling again. Thinking that it was a separate issue because the plumber assured me the only blockage was the hair, I reached out to another plumbing service that took all of 5 minutes to pull out a rag from 5 ft deep that the plumber said looked like it had been in there for months. I have all the receipts to document the poor work done by A-1 plumbing so I reached out to them to try and seek money back and the only response I was met with was that they stand behind their contractors work. So now I'm an already struggling college student out $150 to a company that stands behind faulty work and is not eager to take any accountability for mistakes made on the back end, regardless of its documentation.
Next day service with polite, friendly plumber. Highly recommend.

I have used A-1 Budget Plumbing for my rental properties as far back 2011. They have always are fairly priced, professional and readily available. I honestly had 2 lavatory faucets and was planning to replace them myself. Well things don't often work out as planned and that was 3 months ago. Tenant called and mentioned issues with the shower. I called A-1 Budget Planning yesterday and asked how much notice they needed and they said 1-2 days advance. Once I confirmed the tenant's availability and called Sharon back, she said they could do it this afternoon. They allowed me to supply the faucets, supply lines and p-trap, in addition to the shower cartridges which I decided to pick up at Lowes last night. They called at 11am to let me know Justin was on his way, I advised them that the tenant was not home yet. Justin showed up at at 12:30pm and went to business. He finished 2.5 hours later. Justin was very professional and thorough out the time on site.If you are able to clearly explain your needs the process should be very smooth, if they are troubleshooting then you need to let them do their job and give them as much information (symptoms) as possible with what you are experiencing.If you think you know more than them then you should do the job yourself and save them the grief of working for you under your direction. Remember YOU are paying for their labor and time, use it wisely!

I’ve used them several times over the years. You call, they show up in a few hours, a really polite guy completes all the potentially messy and definitely skilled work, I pay them. The rates always seem reasonable, not “cheap” but I’m never concerned their work will fail or that there will be any surprises in the bill. I can’t say that about other service providers.

The worst service in a plumber I was quoted a certain price for a 40 gallon water heater I didn’t hesitate to except the price which the plumber repeated twice to the person on the other end the phone the plumber said there was a misunderstanding with the size it was for a 30 gallon then the price jumped up to a hundred dollars more so I refused there service because I wasn’t that desperate as the plumber was leaving he mentioned to me why would they pass up a job for 100 dollars more then I was even charged a absorbent service charge. Horrible company!!! I was given a 3 hr window from 9 to 12pm. At 10 to 12 I called and was told all dispatchers were busy and that they would return my call. At 12:15 they returned my call and told me that the plumber that was suppose to come to my residence had been stuck at a prior job for 2 hrs. and that they would send the next available plumber from Kalihi or Liliha as soon as they were done. By then it was 12:30. You would have thought out of common courtesy they would have called to tell me that they would be late, NO such luck, I had to call them. They gave me 2 options, wait for the next plumber, which by then I had been waiting 3 hrs and 40 minutes, or reschedule, not for a specific appointment, but for another 3 hr window. Most reputable company, because of their miss scheduling would have done that. Do Not Use this company, Poor Management!!!

A-1Budget Plumbing is the best. I called at 9:30 pm after discovering that my leaky toilet needed a professional. They have a service that answers calls after hours and they took a message for the office to call me to schedule an appointment. Lily called me first thing in the morning and scheduled an appointment the same morning and texted me when the plumber was on the way. They are very responsive and quick. Always very professional when interacting with them. The shower handle broke and they came out the next business day to try to fix it. Ended up needing a new handle, handle parts came in within the week and they replaced it the next business day.

Thorough snaking of a very long and complicated old line and follow up with camera scope and suggestions of what to do next. I’ve tried using Kailua one man band plumbers and they are great and grateful Until they gather more business and bigger jobs and leave you in the dust when you need help then. As I’m running a Real Estate Brokerage and need maintenance on a regular basis, my altruistic ways had to be put aside after the dust trails and now I am basically married, professionally, to A-1 as they Always have someone within a day or so and no ‘lines’ like “I’m working in a new build and don’t have time for your jobs anymore” after paving their paths to those big jobs. Had A1 Plumbing come out to swap out an old toilet and install a new one. Two technicians showed up and had the old toilet removed within 15 minutes. One technician left with the old toilet and never returned. The one technician left had the new toilet installed and was completely done within an hour. When asked what I owed he said $277. A little high for a toilet in my book. When I asked for an itemized bill he said one would be provided after I paid and would be emailed later in the day. When asked for a verbal itemization his math did not add up to $277. I told him I would wait to pay. When A1 called they told me the technician was wrong. My new total was $377. This seems like an awfully large amount for a 1 hour job.Bottom line. Do not use A1 plumbing. They are extremely over priced. Do yourself a favor and get either a handyman or a mom and pop plumber. Less you too pay $377 for a 1 hour job (and this price is after adjustments for over charging on disposal fee and over charging on labor).

When I called I know they were working it out to get to me asap. Called me when they were on the way, were on time, followed the rules of my housing association, and found the problem pretty quick. Helped my neighbor, where they found the problem, and was a really reasonable price. My first plumbing call from now on.

I have used A1 a few times and they have always been very friendly and knowledgeable. When multiple options were available they explained them very clearly and were able to answer and questions I had.
Great service from scheduling an appointment to removing and installing a new toilet. Bob was friendly, professional and did a great job. I will definitely call A-1 for all my plumbing needs. Thank you!

I was pleased with the quick, same day response and our leaky shower control was fixed to our satisfaction.
I called A1 Budget on the recommendation of my plumber, I had used A1 Plumber in the past. I needed to have my refrigerator ice maker supply line repaired. Paul who was in the area came shortly. He repaired the problem in a short while. He was professional and suggested other tips.
Paul was excellent. I trust and will hire A-1 Budget Plumbing for all my plumbing needs because they are dependable, reasonably priced, knowledgeable, caring and get the job done.
