My parents and I went to several stores around SF and Excel had the most knowledge.. plus their customer service wasn't snobby like other showrooms. They provided realistic lead times (due to COVID) and they walked us through the process. We originally came in looking for Rohl and Dornbracht, but they informed us they don't carry those lines. We ended up going with Graff and Brizo instead. Their price is very competitive amongst other showrooms in the bay and even online pricing. Even if they weren't, their service more than makes up for it. We left knowing it was time and money well spent.

Super happy with our experience. Our sales representative was Stacey and she was beyond professional. Very well educated about things and patiently ordered everything we wanted. We will definitely come back to Excel plumbing and highly recommend it to everyone especially if you are going through a remodel. Thank you Stacey!

Although our project was rather small (guest bathroom complete re-do) we had to work with several companies due to supply chain issues. Sammy made it work. She had lots of ideas and found everything that we needed and within our time limitations.

Highly recommend. We worked with Cherrie for our house renovation project, 2 full baths and kitchen. She was super responsive and helpful with warranty. She's super efficient during our appointment and knowledge since our GC didn't install a few things correctly at first. Don't need to shop around. Go to Cherrie!

I was looking to renovate the bathrooms in my home and really enjoyed the selection and service at Excel. Their showroom has a variety of brands and products to choose from and their staff is very knowledgable and helped answer any questions I had.

We bought a bidet from here and whoa who knew there is that much to know about Bidets! They have an have a really extensive selection of products and were incredibly helpful. If they didn't have it they also can order it for you as well. We ended up getting a Toto but they also helped me understand what I'll need in the bathroom in regards to the outlet etc.

They have a great selection of products and their sales associates are very knowledgable, take their time to understand our needs, show us alternatives, and make useful suggestions. Told me the warranty was three years when it is in fact only one year. Purchased it only because the person helping me TOLD ME the warranty was three years, or I'd have bought it on Amazon where I could get a 4 year warranty and have the option to return. Also didn't tell me until AFTER I completed the purchase that it's not returnable once box is opened.

We used Excel Plumbing for key parts of both of our bathroom renovations and the experience was flawless both times. To start, the facility is large and even during Covid times the services provided were smooth and simple. Not only no issues, but service was exceptional.

The selection was also great as they have products from every tier of quality/price. While working with Stacey, we talked through our price range, and she showed us exactly what we wanted to see. And there was no upsell or anything like that, it was an honest conversation.

We did our mater bathroom renovation first, and the experience was so good we went right back to them for our second bathroom renovation. After being completed 4 months and 2 months ago, I can confirm that we're EXTREMELY HAPPY with our experience, and we'll be coming back to them for out kitchen. Excel is the best retailer of these type of products. Their customer support is excellent. I really have to single out Cheri for giving me the most professional service. She handled every one of my orders and has been most helpful in every respect.

I recently had a small renovation that included two bathrooms, I've been to several bathroom and plumping stores in the City and my favorite was definitely Excel for it's great service and prices.

This was the first time I'd had to deal with contractors and renovation and I was *woefully* unprepared. Vanessa helped me through almost all of it and just made me feel a lot better about my choices. She understood the vibe I wanted and was never, ever pushy about anything. She gave me realistic timelines and never over promised me things just to make a sale, I really appreciated that.

Yes, they aren't the CHEAPEST place you can find in the city, but they offer more choice and better service and guidance than those cheaper places. And they aren't expensive either, the service more than makes up for the small difference in price. And they make time for you, even if you don't know how anything works or what's what. Again, I appreciate that. Some places don't seem to want to give you the time of day unless you're a contractor an interior designer that already understands the ins and outs of everything.

Anyway if a project is looming and you are a total newbie, definitely hit them up. It'll be a lot better than wandering long aisles alone and confused at some other places just to save a couple dollars. Love our bathroom, and if we ever need to change it again (due to the contractors, not excel!) I will be heading back to them.

I'm very surprised that the rating of this store is so high. The customer service I received was so poor, if I could rate it less than 0, I would. I was replacing a broken toilet and they sold me a toilet with no instructions inside the box, so when I got home we had no way to install it. Next, I go back in and they make a copy of the instructions for me, but there are no measurements on it. I had to go back a third time and they said they made a mistake and only made a copy of one page, not both pages. Lastly, I went in to get flush valve replaced (which is a part that costs $1.70) and they said I had to buy a whole $40 kit after I spent over $500 and had to return on two separate occasions to get the right instructions. HORRIBLE customer service. I would think that a part that cost less than $2 would be worth saving a customer and avoiding a bad review, but I guess not. I ended up going to A1 plumbing around the corner and they had the part I needed in stock.

Highly recommended! We had a great experience with Excel. They have excellent selections with transparent prices. We worked with Stacey who really understood what we need and gave useful advices. She was responsive and reliable throughout the whole process (which is a pretty long one during the pandemic time). We had some delays and missing parts but all issues were resolved quickly. I would definitely work with them again next time.

There are a lot of nice items at Exel Plumbing to choose from. Just make sure what arrives is what you thought was being ordered. Have your merchandise sent directly to you and check it before installing. There are only two choices of stars. My experience was just o.k.

Wow, Excel Plumbing knows what they're doing and their expertise made my newest kitchen and bath renovation easy! Amazing selection and have friendly & insightful staff who took the time to understand my project, my budget, how to match and fit pieces/sets together, and showed me better alternatives than what I envisioned.

Can't help but compare it to an earlier experience I put myself through last year... how much time and effort I wasted by shopping multiple stores, constantly comparing prices, dealing with incomplete ‌inventory sets, and running into sneaky salesmen who each had different ideas. In the end I wasn't happy with the final aesthetic of my bathroom because I had made compromises by sourcing parts from different locations.

Not sure why I didn't come here sooner... I can't express how pleased I am with how the remodel turned out! Buying from Excel was definitely worth it and will be returning again when I have another project - thanks guys!!

This place is great, they have knowledgeable staff who will help you out even if you know nothing about plumbing. They have a showroom that is well thought out with lots fixtures and fittings. This will make you make you feel confident that you came to the right place. There's ample parking outside which fronts onto busy South van ness street (one of the busier streets in the mission). I shop here for all my plumbing needs, guy behind the counter named lambo has helped me many times and always greets me with a smile. Like I said their service it's excellent and I will always give them my repeat business no matter how small or big the project, keep it up excel they do exactly as their name states and they do it Excellently ! Walked in a year ago for a full house remodel. Ran into Vanessa T., and although she was busy and helping a client, she asked me to hang around for a bit so she could help me. She's the most knowledgeable, patient, and hard working person I've met throughout my remodel process. Was never pushy and helped me pick between different price points and was very honest about products that were not the greatest cost vs quality. When I had some issues with some hardware she went above and beyond to rectify the situation, and when I had to return a few things due to my own change of scope, she tried her best to minimize costs of returns. My contractor also said great things about her when they had to find out some technical details about plumbing for the shower. Can't recommend Vanessa highly enough. Making an appointment for all my subsequent visits helped a lot, and the showroom has a large variety of things to look at. I somehow dropped my ID card far behind this huge display of sinks and two additional staff rushed over to help get it out. Parking sucks, as it does anywhere, but I was lucky and never had to park outside of the lot since the contractor trucks seem to move in and out pretty quick. Five star experience.
